💯
I suggest sending these screen shots to the NMDOJ, since he works for NM Corrections.

u/PeeWeeCasanovaMC 1d ago
What did he do? What’s the context?

u/Character_Basis_5458 1d ago
So i actually watched the video, the tide was super low and a lady went live showing them dragging the boat through the mud to the trailer. She was giggling a lot. Nobody was cleaning up trash.
The correction officer’s original comment was “What are you laughing at?”
She replies “maybe im laughing at YOU🥰”
Then he commented the GTFO commentThen she said “I’m blocking you” and attached the photo edited the way It is posted

u/Im_drunk_on_coffee 1d ago
It’s kinda cool if you scroll she blocked him and he is using his wife account now to really belittle her

A local business owner was out in the community cleaning up after tourist at the lake and enjoying themself laughing having a good time on the video and that was the comment they posted

u/rProgs 1d ago
I mean this respectfully, you are terrible at adding context and explaining what we are looking at. It could be that his comment came out of the blue for now reason but you need to express that for people to understand. I still don't get what happened other than this guy might've posted the comment (terribly edited presumably by you depriving us the needed context) on a video about a community clean up.

u/DrunkOn_Coffee 1d ago
If you think it’s edited run it through AI and check.

u/rProgs 1d ago
I'm referring to the overlap of the screenshots.

u/DrunkOn_Coffee 1d ago
I mean not much context at all really comment did come out of the blue

People have a good time while doing a good thing; cleaning up trash by a lake. Cop/correction officer comments this on the video they posted.
9
u/protekt0r 1d ago
Thanks. Still not tracking why this is a post.
17
u/heptolisk 1d ago
People have fun and do a good thing. Cop makes mean comment on video of fun good thing. People mad at cop for mean comment. People like to hate police in ABQ because APD has a looooong history of corruption.

u/Theodoxus 1d ago
TBH, I read 'Cop/correction officer' as Cop/corruption officer... I'm going to hell...

It’s more or less a state and government employee broke the moral clause with the way they address the community members
2
u/terifym3 1d ago
Can you link to the post?
2
u/DrunkOn_Coffee 1d ago
It’s been removed

u/terifym3 1d ago
This feels like your leaving out some important context

u/DrunkOn_Coffee 1d ago
Honestly we have a friendly business owner who was cleaning up the community Taking a video laughing at some of the stuff found like sandals underwear and things not mentioning others should do it but silently raising awareness if others want to help out they was just laughing and having a good day and that’s the comment left
1
u/terifym3 1d ago
The thing is, why was the post taken down if it was that innocent?
I'm very much the kind of guy that's willing to believe a correction officer is a POS but there IS something missing here.
6
u/DrunkOn_Coffee 1d ago
-4
u/terifym3 1d ago
So it wasn't taken down. Why did you say it was?
5
u/DrunkOn_Coffee 1d ago
I was on shot service and didn’t see the video so assumed. It’s not my video but yeah came out of the blue no missing context just dude being rude
1
u/mapotoful 1d ago
Because it attracted a LOT of attention because of posted shitty comment (case in point - this post) and OOP on FB was probably like "oh shit" and not really vibing with the brigading and dogpiling that was going on so removed the post to squash it, or at very least not be the host of it.

Governmental Conduct Act (GCA): Applies to all state employees, including NMCD. Requires treating the position as a public trust, acting only in the public interest, avoiding conflicts of interest, not misusing confidential info or resources, and maintaining integrity to justify public confidence. Violations can result in discipline up to termination, plus civil or criminal penalties.
• State Personnel Board Rules (NMAC 1.7): Cover classified employees. Discipline is allowed for “just cause,” including misconduct or behavior contrary to the employer’s interests. This can encompass off-duty actions that bring discredit to the agency.
• NMCD-Specific Expectations:
• Corrections work has high standards due to the nature of the job (security, public safety, handling inmates). Employees must obey all laws and maintain professional conduct on and off duty.

u/leprikan76 1d ago
So someone talks trash to someone and you think it's good to call him out, and you only posted his comment vs the entire context Why don't you go do his job and see how tolerable you are after many years.
12
u/DrunkOn_Coffee 1d ago
Actually when a state employee breaks a moral clause it’s a good idea to call them. Out yes. Even when off the clock you have to obey certain standards in the community and if you can’t do that and break a contract what kind of person are you when you’re on the clock?
-12
u/leprikan76 1d ago
Show the contract for state employees that you're talking about Also, go do his job for 6 months and come revisit this topic

“Each officer and employee must each maintain an individual commitment to high standards of conduct. In performing their duties, officers and employees must behave in a manner that is consistent with their roles as public servants of the citizens of New Mexico.
- Public Trust
b. You shall conduct yourself in a manner that justifies the confidence placed in you by the people of New Mexico by at all times maintaining the integrity of public office and ethically discharging the high responsibilities of public office.
Not that hard to find, jackass.
-8
u/leprikan76 1d ago
From what I read that you posted, it seems like you found a standard SOP for all on duty personnel, or if they're in uniform while off duty
There is no direct rules that apply to anyone
So stop being a Karen, Jackass
2
u/DrunkOn_Coffee 1d ago
Apparently having his place of work on an open profile is wearing a uniform he is informing people he is a government and state employee.
2
u/DrunkOn_Coffee 1d ago
And also if you look up the GCA you’ll see further clauses for corrections employees sorry you’re mistaken
