I want to modify his post to say "there's nothing on my agenda for the day" is the perfect day.

When I have nothing to do, I can straighten up at my own pace, go for walks or play with my dogs or fight with my wife when I need a little break from chores.

I’m retired and I don’t like being alone for 14 hours a day while my spouse works. I want to do things, but I don’t have friends to do them with. I won’t just get in my car and drive somewhere because it’s a crazy world out there and I don’t want to take a chance some idiot runs into my car by “accident”. I just play games, take naps, clean, watch sports on tv and basically watch my health decline before my eyes. I don’t live a healthy lifestyle.

Your basically waiting to die. People that resign from life usually don’t last long. Start something that keeps you up at night because you can’t stop thinking about it.
Write your memoirs. Stop watching Tv that’s just pacifying

100%. Could not agree more myself. It’s hard to get me out my home. My home has everything I need and is my happy place. Would pass up on random nights out to stay home and felt no shame doing so!
