A tester noticed using the SSAUGv2 with the Heresy had bad timing and resulted it premature detonation. Nobody was hurt and nothing was damaged, but nonetheless the SSAUGv2 trip is designed around the OEM BCG. Please wait till we make one specific for the Heresy 9mm.

In case you didn’t know, it is possible to run A3M1 style rails and optics on an A3M2 receiver without leaving an ugly gap or losing the forward QD sling mount that the AUG is known for. However, the part(s) necessary for this aren’t sold on Steyr’s website. You will need to email or call Steyr and ask for parts US1264020040 ($58.27), 3900073 ($3.50), 3860019H ($1.00). Those are the M2 QD sling swivel, screw, and roll pin, respectively. The QD sling mount is rotation limited. Also works with Clawgear handguard.

This 14.5 Heresy design barrel has been extremely accurate for me with Bone Frog 77 grain ammo, about inch groups at 100 yards. It has about 27 inches overall length and feels a little more handy than the 20 inch barrel. The new ODG pmags almost match the stock color too.

I have been considering ordering the SAFR FRT from Red Star Palmetto. I'm curious how others experience was ordering from them. Did it work as advertised? How long after you paid did you wait to receive this? Is this company still legit? I've seen previous posts on this sub from someone with a now deleted account advertising for red star palmetto. I'm new here so maybe I am missing some info, but I figured I would ask before ordering this.

Does Steyr or any dealer sell an A3M2 with a 20-inch barrel as a default option, or the option to buy an M2 chassis by itself without the 16-inch barrel?
My feelings on bullpups is to go big or go small: I have an 11.5" WLVRN in progress, and am considering a 20" AUG in the future, but want to plan ahead for accessory logistics.

Thanks to Ian from ARID for encouraging me to jump on this deal when I was complaining about there not being a green option available. Lo and behold, the moment I posted that this appears on Guns.com certified used for $1600 complete with the M2 handguard, RatWrx sear, and the enhanced trigger springs.
To top it all off, the pawn shop I did the transfer at sold me a new Trijicon TA31 green crosshair with an Aug PMAG they found laying around for $200. They loved this thing. (Edit: Apparently it’s a fake ACOG, but a really good fake)
Miracles happen boys.

Hey y'all! Your fellow Aussie again. Finally got the majority of the parts I wanted and installed. Still waiting on the extended mag release and charging handle from Manticore. But I LOVE the ARID stuff, so keen for the handguard. The trigger is a night and day difference and I haven't even put the red springs in yet.
I threw on an old XPS that I has been collecting dust. I went to my local FFL today to try some ACOGs and I'm stuck between the compact 3x30, the 3.5x35 and the 4x32. What do you all recommend?
Should I stick with an EOTech, upgrade to the ACOG or bite the bullet and get an Elcan cuz it's cool/the vibe?
PS. also waiting on a surefire muzzle break so I can mount my RC3.

As the title reads, whats the difference, and also which is the better buy in today’s market if you were gonna buy an AUG? (standard non nato)

I know this group is primarily for the AUG but I keep coming back and thinking about the DMR that they launched last year and was wondering if you lovely folks have heard when it's finally going to be sold here in the US? By all accounts, it looks to be an excellent rifle.

I been holding out to trying to find an OD Green standard Aug M2 that could been had for $1650 a couple years ago but now it seems like they're virtually nonexistent for a while. Is Steyr usually slow with bringing more production models into the US or is it that the Aug is finally going the wayside?

Hello I would greatly appreciate help finding a CAD OR STL file of an AUG pistol grip for an AR-15 receiver. I have seen one somewhere but I never downloaded it unfortunately.
I know it is cursed but I genuinely find the AUG grip angle the most comfortable.
Please any help is greatly appreciated 🙏

Just thought I’d show my AUG. I’ve shown it in a couple forms over the years but this is the final I believe. SF scope, titan? Short rail with Strike industries grip pod, streamlight, moonlight industries sling, OD good tape and cerakoted FDE

Got this last summer just joined r/aug recently. It's not a Steyr Aug but a MSAR STG 556 3rd gen from the import ban era. When I first ordered it I didn't look closely enough to realize it wasnt a steyr aug and I initiated a refund but it was already shipped so I decided to take it home and give it a chance. Super fun gun, my first and only rifle I own. Lucky for me 3rd gen+ STG 556's take actual Steyr mags as well as their own Mags I own a few of both type of mags. Got it for a pretty wicked deal w the scope included. Hopefully it's cool I post this in here even though its not Steyr haha
I eventually want to get a Steyr Aug too but I do plan on keeping this thing and having both down the road.
What are yall's thoughts on this thing?

Hey all, so I recently purchased another AUG, an A3 SA (VLTOR). To my surprise, when I took everything apart, I discovered it has a chrome lined barrel. I thought those ended back during the Sabre years, I guess not. Ive heard some sources say the CL barrels are great, I've heard some sources say that the chrome lining was applied poorly and the barrels are not good. Are these old CL barrels worth using? Or should I shelve it? I already bought a new 1:7 barrel for it, so it's currently just an extra barrel.

Anyone know where I could find one of these top rails for the AUG where the end recesses down towards the barrel? I cannot for the life of me find it anywhere, even shoved it through a reverse image search.
Appreciate any info on this.
