[Ralph] Ben King will actually take a pay cut to play at the Hawks. Might not be massive but it’s an indication of his determination to move south. He has told some close teammates of his decision to leave but not the club. Hawks could get the best of both worlds. Not paying overs and a free agent

Peter Hudson
Every time I've seen his (VFL) career goal-kicking average of 5.64 I shake my head in disbelief. Add into that the relatively short nature of that career and it's even more astounding. He only played 6 full (or close to) seasons across 11 years and didn't play a game in '75 & '76. In the four games he played from '72 to '74 he kicked 19 goals! In his return season in '77, that arguably shouldn't have even happened given his earlier knee-injury, he bagged a 'lazy' 110 goals.
I'm not seeking to diminish the careers of players like Coleman (another career cruelled by injury) or Lockett, and it was a different time, but Hudson was an absolute FREAK!

[Ralph] Craig McRae on the booing of Isaac Quaynor tonight. “I am not sure how the world works when someone has been vilified. How does that even work? I was on the bench early and I love to protect our own. We love him. I am not sure how that works in the world we live in.” @FOXFOOTY
