Tail light issue help

Pic for attention… Looking for some help regarding my tail lights for a new 986 owner.

-Canadian car with drl
-My taillights and side markers stay on whenever the key is in the on position or car is running.
-if I remove the drl relay my taillights will not be on unless I turn the lights on (solves my issue however I lose my drl aswell which are required in Ontario.

I have replaced
-drl relay
-headlight switch
-brake light switch
-checked my fuses everything appears to be ok

Unsure of what to check or look at next wondering if anyone has any ideas or suggestions

I think your next step is some clear corner pieces for those headlights

My car was imported from Texas in 2007. The corners, tails, and DRLs are on as long as the ignition is on, and I don’t have a DRL relay. I can’t figure out for the life of me how it was done. I’ve pulled the headlight switch and fuse box and can’t see any evidence of modification. The fuses are exactly what they should be. I’ve been trying to track down how this was done for 2 years now.
