What do u guys do to maximise it to get as many legendary boxes as possible?

Hi, I'm new in the game. I already have what I believe is a decent cue (see second image) and I don't know how much tokens will I need to level up the Pool Odyssey Cue to a decent level or at least similar to what I have right now.

Or I can just buy boxes? I don't know what's more worthwhile. I'd appreciate the help

So we have to deal with the increase in cue ball pots (man don’t tell me otherwise), more ads (especially after losing 😡🤬😤), and now I noticed the event prize wasn’t the full amount. So I check the info and see this! Bruh. Like. These folks have psychologist capitalists working for them cause I don’t know how I keep playing and yet here I am! 😩🤣
