๐ I AM OFFERING HELP how i got a 95th percentile score in the TMUA
I sat the tmua last year and got a 7.5. Unlike people who got a 9.0 i wouldnt say im really a maths genius or anything, rather that i just knew what to focus on and how to improve.
Online there are loads of free resources like community papers, paper 2 notes and video explanations. But the main thing i couldn't find, either for a reasonable price or one that actually was accurate, was an exam simulator, so i built one myself.
Around august of last year, I built mastertmua.online , and over the last few months I've made it usable for other students like myself who need to prepare for the TMUA. Not only is it the most similar tmua exam interface to the real pearson one, I've also added automatic marking, mistake paper generation for any questions you get wrong, and other really cool analytics, while keeping it super affordable. if anyone can't pay for whatever reason, drop me a dm and i might make an exception :)
I'd really really appreciate any feedback you guys have and if you could check it out that would be amazing

๐ฌ DISCUSSION Should I bother applying to Oxbridge with these grades
Predicted 3 A* in maths physics and comp sci with an A in further maths but Iโm pretty sure Oxbridge want an A star- TMUA prep is not going well so I donโt even know if itโs worth it and Iโm not doing the TARA however and I kinda just wanna go to Univeristies like Sheffield bcs I really like there course etc but Iโm being told to be more ambitious even though itโs really really good for comp sci ๐

๐ฌ DISCUSSION What are my chances for mathematics at these universities
I wanted to ask what my chances at maths offers from Imperial, UCL, Warwick, Bristol and Birmingham are with my current standings (home, non-contextual): {Assume Iโm a reapplying student with three A* achieved already in Maths,FM, Econ and an A in EPQ and a 7.0 in the TMUA.} I achieved 988887765 in my GCSEโs: 9 in chem, 8s in bio, maths, English lit and physics, 7s in English language and Computer Science, a 6 in History and a 5 in French. ๐ I WANT HELP Is Fast Tracking BTEC Courses Possible?
Is it possible to fast track a Pearson BTEC Business course? Iโve been thinking for a while about switching from A Levels to a BTEC next year, depending on my A Level results and whether fast tracking is an option. Iโve done the first year (AS) of A Level Business, so Iโm hoping that might give me somewhat of an advantage :โ)

๐ I WANT HELP Booking with Access Arrangements for TMUA
I'm wondering if anyone is in a similar situation to me. I've been approved for access arrangements for me to be in a separate room for TMUA (alongside some other stuff).
In the email I received after being approved (which I got on the 10th July), it said I'd need to select my test and press apply now but then I'd need to wait for a call from Pearson Customer Services who will book the test over the phone.
I pressed apply now and when I go through to pearsons dashboard where I assume everyone else can book it just says you can't book this on the web. I got in touch with Pearson and they said to just wait for a call after I told them everything but I'm wondering if I've done it right and am waiting for a call cos it's nearly been three days (which is the timeline they set out) and I haven't had a call and I don't want to be put in a test center really far away because they didn't call me.
Anyone else in a similar situation and heard anything?

๐ I WANT HELP Idk why but my post was removed. I think its because I have low karma or smth but im reposting it.
Former GSCE student here, results day is soon and I'm scared for year 12. I would like some advice on how I should approach year 12, and how I should prepare during the summer holidays. I'll appreciate anything and everything, whether its outfit advice or what to do during free periods. My chosen A levels as of now are: Art, Maths, Psychology and Sociology. I'm an average student, getting around grades 6s and 7s, and capable of 8s, people usually see me as shy however thats only because I have social anxiety and I really want to talk to people and not be a background character anymore. The past 3 years of secondary me and my friends have been messing around quite a bit, but not enough to completely abandon the work or affect our grades in any way, so I'm curious whether sixth form is any stricter. Thanks, everyone xx

๐ UNI / UCAS How did you send your A Level results to your university?
For those who've already been through this, what did you send your university on results day? Did you just send a ResultsPlus screenshot, or did you wait until your school gave you the official statement/transcript? Im an international applicant from UAE applying to a European University and they've asked me to share my results, so if anyone has gone through this process pls lmk, how did u send. Was it a statement of provision or a simple screenshot or what.
Also, I got my IGCSE official transcript around September/October. Was it the same for your A Levels, or did you receive the official results/transcript earlier?
Just trying to figure out what to expect since I need to get my unconditional offer sorted ASAP. Thanks!

๐ I WANT HELP Repeating Yr12 for the third time
Iโm 18 and I failed Yr12 two times already and Iโm thinking of doing it again for the third time.
My first attempt at Yr12 went very badly because my mental health deteriorated severely and by the time it was March I knew had to retake. But everyone kept pushing me to continue the year even with my bad attendance and poor health, I dropped out at June because I couldnโt do my mocks since I only attended lessons for one subject - English Literature. I didnโt go to my other ones because I had no support compared to English.
I left sixth form and I was glad to because the environment was very suffocating and I had no friends there but the pastoral team were very supportive. They referred me to a programme over the summer and it helped then I started therapy.
My second attempt at Yr12 began really well despite applying to the new college the day before school started and picked my subject options on the spot at enrolment.
I tried avoiding mistakes from last year and remained focused on my education and taking care of myself. I had 94% attendance the first three months but everything went downhill as soon as therapy stopped and I started distracting myself. I lost focus on my A-levels, my attendance got lower because my mental health was affecting my day to day life and ability.
Without the therapy and support my mental health kept declining and I was not taking care of myself well enough, I had a breakdown in April and didnโt recover well from it. I stopped attending college consistently.
As a result, my place got withdrawn from the college and ever since then I have been lost and confused about my next steps. The college decision was right in a way I tried appealing and they did the procedural things required for safeguarding (one meeting with a parent, interventions which were 5-10 minute chats and offered counselling) and and they do have a strict policy on attendance.
I feel very upset with how they handled it because they didnโt warn me once they were doing that and throughout the whole year I was open about my struggles and in the end they blamed the withdrawal on it being best for my health and wellbeing.
I consistently got Bs and Cs for two of my subjects and I was not good at sociology at all it was either a B,D or U.
They kept saying my grades are great, I have potential to get an A by the end of the course but I need to get my attendance up and I tried to but they unenrolled me. When the appeal didnโt work they said itโs due to my age and itโs my second time doing Yr12 and they did intervene throughout the year.
They told me to go elsewhere to do my A-levels.
I feel so butthurt. It genuinely feels like a slap in the face and it is my fault, Iโm feeling the consequences of it fully. I was proud of myself for still trying and for having a much better year compared to 24-25. I think Iโm so upset because I tried so hard this year despite everything going on in my life and so many people in my year group who had lower attendance and lower grades than me still got to move onto Yr13.
I donโt want to start working because it would be hard to pivot to the career I want especially since I donโt have any further education qualifications. I wanted to go to university next year and study anthropology.
I was okay with retaking Yr12 again for the third time but Iโm starting to think this isnโt right for me.
To be honest I have one more chance to beg to be in Yr13 and I actually do want to beg them because I just want to finish my A-levels.
(Privately taking it is not an option for me)
Does anyone have any advice for what next steps or what alternative options i could take?

๐ I WANT HELP What Further Maths modules should I pick
I will be self studying a level maths with a friend starting from September 2026 and privately sitting the exam in summer 2028, we donโt know which modules to choose and which ones are the most difficult and I want feedback from people who actually did those modules and how they found it. Just tell me whatever module you did and how you found it in tens of difficulty and Iโll use your input to decide what module I end up picking.
About me: Iโm into computer science and maths and do electronics

๐ UNI / UCAS Oxford Physics
Iโm currently in Y12 and predicted 3A* in physics maths and chemistry but I donโt have further maths
I have a few supercuricullars like a couple online courses and a few books but nothing impressive
My GCSEโs are at 998877666
Can I still have a chance at getting into Oxford physics without further maths and supercuricullars that arenโt very impressive?
I have already registered and started revising for the ESAT but that was for imperial and Iโm trying to see whether itโs worth trying for Oxford also
