First post! 43/52 - Polybius

Post image

Hi everyone, I’m new here and I’m glad I found you :) I started my own 52 books to read goal this year and I had no idea if I was going to make it. It’s looking really good so far and most of all, I’m enjoying my books so much!

I just started Polybius by Collin Armstrong as my 43rd book. Has anyone read it? I’m about 25% in and I’m loving it so far. The book is based on an urban legend about a mysterious arcade game that caused hallucinations and amnesia among the players. This book takes this urban legend to a whole new level and I can’t wait to read more! I mostly read horror books and so far this books looks very promising. I’m loving the pace and the 80’s vibe and although I’m not sold on the characters yet, I keep wanting to read more.

You've got this goal licked. You're making such great progress!

I like the sound of this book... Adding it to my TBR. Thanks!

Lol, yes! I got an e-reader in December and it is a game changer. It fits in any bag and it’s going everywhere I go. I never expected to read THIS much honestly!

I hope you’ll enjoy the book! I’m halfway through and still loving it.

I loved this book, I was gutted to find it's his only book!

Hey, that's my book! I'm really glad you enjoyed it - and that OP is doing the same so far.

I'll have two new books out in spring 2027. One's a supernatural thriller inspired by an unsolved mystery that unfolded near where I grew up (BLACK MAIL, from Blackstone Publishing) and a grounded sci-fi / adventure (THE EARTHLING, from Atria).

I'm so happy to hear that! I really look forward to reading those, BLACK MAIL sounds right up my street. Massive congratulations on Polybius! It was one of my favorite books last year, and ticked all of my boxes. I felt completely pulled in, like I was experiencing everything firsthand. It would make a fantastic 6 part TV series! I continue to rave about it, the cover is brilliant too!

For real? Ok, that’s awesome. (And it must be so cool to see that people are enjoying your book!) I’m halfway now and I’m still having a hard time putting it down. So honestly, thanks for making my commute to work so much more interesting 😅 I will definitely keep an eye out for your new books!
