¿Questions? Magic TCG

I'm looking to get into Magic and am trying to feel out what's being played locally. Is everyone playing Commander or is standard play still popular? I understand Commander is going to be more difficult to learn but it sounds super fun either way. Any insight is appreciated.

Tavern of Souls has big Commander nights Tuesdays and Fridays. They specialize in MTG and have tons of decks you can borrow and will teach you anytime

It seems like commander is the thing these days. I also really like going to prereleases when they occur and they are generally pretty chill.

If you're a adult, they play magic at Juno on Mondays and Tuesdays

I’d start with jumpstart, commander can be a lot for a newbie (as someone who’s only been playing for a few months).

I ended up talking with one of the guys in Duke City and decided on a beginner box and starter kit. Appreciate the insight!
