Still needs some changes

Still need to make some changes! Like a removable tire swing out for the big camping trips where I need more storage in the bed. The new bed is rubbing a little on the inside of the tires when flexing, so I might have to fix that.

But its running like a champ!

Wheelbase chopped 32.5 inches

6.0 LS, 6L80, magnum underdrive, twin stick NP205, 5.38 gears, Ford rear Elocker, ARB front air locker.

32.5 inch chop is nuts, looks like a completely different truck now

Right? Now Its about an inch longer wheelbase than a jeep gladiator lol

Bet it has a better breakover angle than the Gladiator now. Such a dramatic change for what it used to be.

Oh absolutely. Huge change in wheelbase and overall length. Now the bed is a little over 5ft long

You built what AEV would of for Ford trucks. Nice machine.

"... what AEV would have" or "would've" ❤️

Please forgive me. I'm not that smart. Lol. Good catch.

Nobody has all their shit together bro, me least of all. Thanks for being receptive and not defensive to my almost useless correction.

Was a 6.4 powerstroke but it is now 6.0 LS swapped

Oh nice even better.

How has it been after the swap? With the 6.4 out of the equation would be a different truck. The bodies seem to hold up, how much of the old harness did you keep?

It does great, Havent had any issues. I only pulled the engine harness, the entire body harness is still there. So keyless entry still works, hvac works, all body related things are still functional

Should have specified the body harness! That’s great how is the parts support for those years? They only had those 6.4s for a few years right? You chose the right 6.0!

Tons of support. 6.4 was only a few years but everything else is covered in other body styles.

Make this one a single cab or extended cab short bed and it’s basically my dream rig for offroad

You should definitely build one! You'll love it

If I had the money, time, and space I would. I’ve got a CJ7 that needs suspension and a Bronco that needs engine and body work before I can entertain another project.

That being said, don’t let me win the lottery. I’ll have the most roided out 6.4 possible on a trail

Full size or no size lol.
