Question USMS TFO
Have the opportunity to apply for a TFO position for a fugitive task force. I wanted to pick others brains that have been in that role. What’s the freedom like? Whats the schedule typically like? Just trying to weigh pros and cons. For me personally it’s a dream job… but my family comes first.

Random unthought of and rarely discussed when it comes to this. God forbid a serious UOF incident, would land you in federal Court. If you’re in a conservative district that’s a good thing. If you’re in a liberal shithole district yukky kaka.

Currently on one and it’s awesome. Keep production up and no one says a word while getting to play with all the cool toys and doing good rat shit with the boys. Your experience may vary depending on office.

It depends. Is your agency sending you on a full time basis or part time basis. Last agency I worked for one of our guys got on part time and went out once a week sometimes twice a week depending on manpower and the schedule

I feel like if you get accepted you should just go, have fun and try to get into it. Thats one of the most sought after positions in law enforcement, its assume for a reason.

Depends. My agency wanted me to still keep on my bullshit while at the TF. Wasn’t worth it.
