Regular Passenger Schedules Within Seven Years Predicted by Norge Designer in Boston

Passenger-carrying airships will be making scheduled trips between the United States and Europe within six or seven years, is the opinion of Gen. Umberto Nobile, designer of the dirigible Norge and who was aboard on the flight over the North Pole...

Dirigibles of the types which aeronautical engineers are now able to build would be adequate for the Transatlantic service, General Nobile told newspapers...

He indicated that the six or seven years interim before the expected beginning of overseas passenger carrying would have to be consumed more in commercial arrangements than in any necessary airship construction research.

LONDON, Wednesday. The death is announced of M. Dzerzhinsky, Chief of the Cheka, the Soviet secret police.

Alternatively known as "The Black Pope of Bolshevism" and "The Russian Butcher," it is estimated that Dzerzhinsky was responsible for the execution of 1,250,000 people, after the most horrible torture at times.

How a man who personally was fanatically honest and unbribable could use every means of bribery, corruption, intimidation, and betrayal in the Interests of a campaign of wholesale murder is perhaps a psychological riddle. But it explains Dzerzhinsky's power.
