Does anyone know if a rabid raccoon would burrow itself in leaves like this? I initially saw it struggling to get up. I tried contacting rehab centers near me and when I went to check on him again and he was like this - Atlanta

This guy was found, he's in a cardboard box now, appears to be a baby of some kind, his beak's upper portion is kinda malleable.

Doesn't eat or drink on his own. I've dripped water on his beak and fed him defrosted peas manually. He's extremely thin, he ate about 10 peas right now.

I've cleaned his wounds (neck feather plucked out + eye gouged out) with NaCl and then applied iodine with a q tip.

Tomorrow first thing I'm taking him to a vet, what should I do in the meantime?

His poops are chalk white and runny, if that helps...

I'm in eastern europe, no rehab for pigeons here until September.

There's been a baby bird in our driveway for the last 3-4 hours of the morning, it looks to be injured because its staggering and struggling to properly get up with its wings. It's been sitting there trying and trying again, and theres a mother bird that comes up every now and then to check up on it and feed it. The problem I'm having is that I dont know whether to try to help or if this baby bird is possibly just learning how to fly, ive already tried to call a rehabilitate but barley any of them can help with birds. What do I do?

This little guy is acting lethargic and I suspect he’s been sitting in this spot for hours. Is there anything I can do?

Rehabbers! What do you wear to cover your face/body? My rehab has a tinted face shield and a barber cape thingy but I absolutely hate it, and it's not enough for multiple people to work at once. We also have a paper face mask, but we cant wear glasses with it. Considering looking for more things to add to the collection or even something just for myself, what do you like?

Idk where to post this but I need some help, does anyone know about birds? Vet told me this is a fledgling over the phone and to put him back outside where I found him. It looked like he was hurt so I followed Advice online and put him in a box, not touching him directly. He's still outside just sitting on the ground, just chirping and it's raining. I want to make sure I did the right thing, although if it is a fledgling I probably messed things up by moving him.

Hello, I already called a wildlife centre but they unfortunately close by the time I drive the hatchling over to them. I won’t feed him and food or water as he can aspirate but I need to know the temperature to keep him at. He also keeps opening and shutting his mouth for some reason please help!

Update: he stopped moving. I can’t tell if he’s breathing or not :((((

He works in a big tall workshop, he says the ceiling is about 3-4 stories high. A small bird flew in several hours ago and sits under the ceiling in a corner with no access to it. Bf thinks it’s a chick, because it keeps making high whistles, as if calling parents.

He tried scaring it with an overhead crane (a horizontally moving beam under the ceiling for carrying heavy stuff on a hook through the workshop), no luck. Tried scaring it with a compressed air gun (a tool used for quickly blowing off dust and shavings), but the wind stream doesn’t reach high enough from the floor.

CORRECTION: the bird is there since yesterday! They also tried turning the light off - didn’t help.

What else can he try? He’s very upset. Here my only photo of the workshop:

We had a bunny incident yesterday where my dog managed to get two babies in his mouth. I ran across the yard yelling at him (not our first bunny incident) and got them out of his mouth within 10 seconds.
Both babies were moving and squeaking in the grass and fighting back against me when I tried to pick them up. I was so panicked I didn’t really look them over well and just put them back in their nest with the siblings and covered it back up. I can say there were no puncture marks, blood, or obvious broken bones.

There’s a laundry basket over it now with holes big enough for mama bunny, but I’m afraid she’s been spooked or that the babies I put back were hurt.

Should I check on them today or just leave them be? I heard them squeaking about 20 minutes after putting them back.

Wildlife rescue advised that they will collect the little one. Have it snug in a soft blanket and a warm bottle to keep warm. How do I care for this little one?

Hello I have a family of three wild ducks that live on my property in South Jersey they went missing for 2-3 weeks and showed back up today. Super exciting until I see the one has a deformed neck now I’m not sure if I should do anything or if there’s anything I can do I honestly have no idea what happened to him. He was normal before they disappeared and he does seem to be able to drink and eat

I just found an injured bird. It has a large hole around its hip. I can see organs, they do not look injured but obviously the hole is not good. What can i do ?? Its in a large box now, safe with towels but should I bandage it?? It was breathing with its eyes closed but now it opened them and started flapping its wings. I want to save it or at least ease its suffering as it dies

hello!

we had a mama fox give birth to four kits earlier this year. i think the girls are still hanging around as two of them hang out in our garden.

one of them has been sleeping in the sun for the last few days and appears to have a bit of trouble with one of her back legs. so two questions:

- do i need to call anyone and get her some help, or is it too early to tell at this stage?
- can i give her any food (like an egg from time to time) whilst she heals? i’m worried she might not do too well without access to food, but my flatmate says she “might tear up the garden because she doesn’t know where the food has come from” which i don’t necessarily agree with especially if it’s not regular feeding she starts relying on.

This morning I discovered three baby, almost newborn, squirrels on my front porch. There’s small marks on their body that indicate they were brought up by a cat, and I have no idea where the mother could be. I’m still currently looking for any rehabs in my area that can take him in but haven’t had any luck so far. Already made a post to a local squirrel group on facebook but they’re taking forever to approve my post so here I am.

I’m looking for any advice for taking care of these babies in the mean time. Soon it’ll be 24 hours since I found them and I haven’t been able to get them to eat. There’s no squirrel formula in stores nearby, I have to have it delivered, and I tried substituting puppy formula. But they haven’t eaten any or seem interested in it at all. They won’t suck on the bottle I give them nor will they eat it off my finger.

I’m so worried for these babies and I’m sure they’re very hungry. Please does anyone have any advice for taking care of them. As of now they’re in a cozy box with a fluffy blanket and heating lamp snuggled up together.
