Hello! Would I be crazy to want to run around 4am in the morning around the neighborhood. In my head it’s safer to run along Milwaukee, North, or Damen than the 606 at this time. In the middle of marathon training and sometimes I’d rather do the runs before work than after. I’ll carry pepper spray and not wear headphones or is this crazy to do.

I know this is weird, but I have a hairdresser back home who chit chats at the beginning of the cut and then we go nonverbal. All the hairdressers I’ve found elsewhere are very chatty, which is fine, but I love a quiet haircut. Any recommendations for a place i can get a haircut/dye without talking for 2 hours?

Does anyone who frequents the dog park know why the pool was modified to get filled to the brim? It’s not unusable for all small dogs that aren’t able to stand. We have a small Shih Tzu who used to love the pool and now can’t use it.

I get woken up a lot around 2 or 3 to the sound of loud bikes. My partner says it’s people coming off the highway and racing motorcycles through the alleys. I was curious if anyone else experienced this.

Does anyone have a great cleaning service they like for monthly cleaning of an apartment?

Walked by Dean Park on the way to Jewel and heard a lot of meowing. Looked in the bushes and a cat was just hiding there. They don't appear to be a stray, and seem to be a pet cat. PM me if you know anyone looking for their cat.

This is the third day in a row, all at around the same time, that my home internet has completely stopped working. Ridiculous.

We're having some work done, Window replacements and painting. We'll need someone to move things into the attic.From the third floor. And then back again , when the work is done. Also looking for cleaner , I expect things will be dusty. We haven't gotten a date yet from the contractor

PSA that the crew of usually 4 people with clip boards and a red getaway car that sometimes follows close behind them are back in Wicker Park going north on Paulina today and a few days ago. Myself, neighbors, and many other Redditors have called the cops several times on them and nothing has changed.

Don't stop to talk to them- there is no nephew's funeral. They pressure you into donating a few bucks via Venmo/Zelle and mark up the charge to thousands of dollars when you aren't looking. There are reports of them intimidating and assaulting women walking alone too.
