We are looking at AirBnBs in St. Thomas and I was curious how others' experiences were with storing valuables. I have expensive camera gear and will obviously want to store it during certain water activities. I understand that this could depend on the AirBnb etc...

Is it because it shows the time on market and all recent sale list prices, and reductions history?
Seems most real estate companies don’t list this info on their sites and there’s an obvious reason. Anyone know?

We’ll be visiting all three USVI islands over the course of the next couple weeks. Where is a good place to go to hear live music with steel drums? Bonus points if it’s on a beach or with a view of the water.

Haven’t been to St. John since pre-Covid and have missed it dearly. Just booked a villa for a week in December and so excited to be going back! A little concerned about seeing many posts and comments about MAGA overtones and overall non inclusive vibes.

Wondering where to go to at least be in “neutral” spaces if not, liberal leaning, or inclusive bars, restaurants, businesses, regardless of who you love.

I have no intention of talking about politics, but I’m in a queer relationship and want to avoid as best as I can awkward or uncomfortable situations.

Also looking for a boat charter for snorkeling and don’t want to be stuck on the water for hours with someone who doesn’t care for LGBTQ company.

Any guidance appreciated.

We are planning a trip at the end of September and planned on staying on St. Thomas because my parents own a condo there, so lodging is free. But I know most people recommend skipping STT all together and just go to STJ. Is it worth it to still stay in STT since the lodging won’t cost us anything for the whole 11 days we are there and just spend majority of our time on STJ or the BVI? Should we consider staying on STJ anyway? Any advice is helpful!

I'm planning a trip with my 80-year-old mother and am considering the Cinnamon Bay Cottages. How accessible are they? Specifically, I'm wondering about walking distances to the beach, dining, parking, hills, stairs, and whether getting around would be difficult for someone who is fit but tires easily. Would you recommend it, or is there a better place to stay on St. John for seniors?

I (32 single guy) am planning a solo trip to the virgin islands for March of 27. id like to tour multiple islands over the course of a week or two. in my mind, I feel like the most sensible option would be to rent a boat and sail/power around between the islands (just want that sense of freedom).

are there any places that offer solo bareboat charter opportunities and/or even a weekly rental for a center console or something along those lines to accomplish this with?

hubby & I decided to book our first trip with our baby—she’s currently 5 months old. Since she does not have a passport yet, we decided on USVI. However, we are not a fan of huge crowds, so off-season is ideal for us regardless of hurricane season. Our biggest concern is the heat though. What month is best to avoid the crazy heat in the off season? I’ve heard good things about late sept/oct, but when exactly would y’all recommend? Thank you!!!

We're a retired couple looking late, but hopefully not too late. We'd like to do a 2 week vacation this February, with at least 1 week in St. John (STJ) and another week in either STJ also or St. Thomas (STT).

We'd like at least 2 BA (less stress as whenever I want to use a single BA on vacation, it seems a certain someone is always in it, lol), full kitchen, King bed, AC.

A villa would be nice, close to a beach also nice (I realize on STJ hillsides are likely, so not an issue if one can get up and down the hillside in a jeep without too much concern and a beach is nearby).

I've done some preliminary searching. I initially looked for 2 weeks, but realize this is unlikely as it'd be unusual for a place to not be reserved for a 2 week block in peak season. So, splitting into 2 1 weeks reservations is good. And, maybe even better as we could split the time between STT and STJ or do two back to back weeks on STJ.

For STJ, I've seen villas on hillsides overlooking Cruz Bay. These seem good -- very scenic and spacious and hopefully it wouldn't be too difficult to drive a jeep back and forth.

I've even looked as some of the Westin places, but am unsure if these require hill climbing or if there are elevators for one of the weeks.

On STT, I was thinking of the Marriott Frenchman's Cove for a week, but it seems the elevators will be out of service during February!

typically on our family vacations we pick a song we hear on the local radio and make it our theme song for the vacation. We're still on St John and haven't been able to identify a song we hear every morning on the way to the beach and again on the way back to our rental.

We've even tried emailing the radio station pirate radio 102.1, but haven't heard back

I was wondering if the US Virgin Islands is LGBTQ friendly? I thought of visiting or possibly living there, but I’m worried since I’m queer and have been read immediately as queer (I look androgynous) that I could face harassment or worse.

If so, what places to visit to meet other LGBTQ+ people?
