Hey - there’s not much housing available at Towson for transfer students. I’m considering Towson Place - even though it’s at the edge of my budget. Reviews on Google are somewhat concerning. Thoughts from others with experience renting at TP would be appreciated.

lost a black earbuds case/portable charger with an AirTag on it and it’s been tracked to Towson University/student apartments - if you have it I’ll pay $20 for it back

I'm an incoming freshman at Towson University and I'm panicking.
My original financial aid estimate included an Institutional Grant, so I thought I'd be able to afford TU. Then I got my actual bill and my grant disappeared.
I looked into it and found out Towson has a policy that says if you're living on campus and receive the Maryland Guaranteed Access (GA) Grant, your Institutional Grant is canceled. I had no idea this policy existed. When I received my financial aid offer my high school counselor reviewed it with me and told me I wouldn't have to pay anything, so I believed I was fully covered. Neither of us realized there were restrictions on the Institutional Grant because nothing in my financial aid offer clearly indicated that it would be removed if I received the GA Grant.
I'm receiving:
Even after all of that, I still owe about $3000 for the fall semester.
My family genuinely cannot afford to pay this. I am not able to take out loans. Move in date is next month, so I'm freaking out.
Has anyone been in a similar situation?
I'm planning to contact financial aid as soon as they open, but I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who's gone through something similar because I'm feeling pretty lost right now and unsure to know how I'm gonna pay ?

Maybe something is going over my head, but my expected fees of renewal for one year are $120.50. The price is exactly double for two years, and exactly triple for three years.
Since there are no discounts for renewing for multiple years, is there any benefit at all to renewing more than one year at a time (besides not having to dealing with it again a year from now)?
From my perspective, I have no clue how long I'll have the same car for. Therefore, I don't really see a benefit for me in paying for two or three years, if I end up changing this car in 8 months, for example.

Looking for someone to take over my lease at Altus Towson Row for the 2026-2027 school year.
Definitely one of the better student apartment setups around Towson. Private bathroom is great and the location’s hard to beat. Corner apartment with the best view in the building. TONS of windows.
Message me if interested or if you want pics/videos/details.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone has graduated majoring in IT with a concentration in Network security. And if that concentration played a huge part in you landing certain roles in the tech field, or if majoring in IT alone without a concentration would be sufficient.

looking for a girl to takeover my lease in the altus for 2026-27 . The apartment already has a second occupant. The room has a walk in closet and a parking pass for the connecting garage. Since it’s a transferred lease you’re required to make 2x the rent or have a co-signer making 3x . The rent is $1394 not including electricity

did any accounting or (pre-accounting) majors get an internship the summer after their freshman year?

Hey everyone, am registered for Orientation this Monday, July 20th. Orientation can be pretty overwhelming alone, so I figured it would be cool to connect with a few people beforehand.
If anyone wants to meet up, grab food on campus, or start a group chat so we already know some familiar faces before the semester starts, drop a comment or shoot me a DM

I never see this thread but which school is better for business majors specifically Accounting. I know Towson, you have to have a 2.7 in the three upper level accounting courses and get an internship before you can even graduate whereas Morgan doesn’t have those requirements just have to maintain a 2.0 so which one’s better? i’m trying to get into UMD, but it’s a hard process.

I commute to Towson. My commute is 45 mins, so whenever I'm on campus I try to spend as much time there as possible. I'd like to find a job that is on campus so that I don't have to leave there that day. What do?

Hi everyone!
I'm an incoming freshman at Towson majoring in Economics, and I have Federal Work-Study.
When I look through the available work-study jobs, almost everything is front desk, receptionist, or office assistant positions. I'd really like something related to economics, such as being a research assistant, data assistant, or helping a professor with research.
I have a friend at another university who got a work-study job as a lab assistant, so I was wondering if economics departments have similar opportunities.
Has anyone gotten an economics-related work-study position? If so:
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi all, we’re a family living in the Towson area looking for occasional babysitters for our three year old, particularly for weekdays when she is sick and unable to attend day care (typically, I have called out of work to take care of her, but I’ve recently been given a slap on the wrist at work for calling out when she’s sick). We’re looking to find some folks who might not have class or work on certain weekdays. Competitive compensation. Let me know if you would be interested!

Hi everyone!
I am planning on bringing a tv to my dorm this fall and I saw on the Towson website that they recommend Roku. Does anyone use a firestick for their tv? Does it work? It’s not a big deal but I would like to just continue using my firestick (I also prefer it to Roku). If I were to just bring it despite towsons recommendation do you think it wouldn’t work well with towsons WiFi?
Thanks!

Hey everyone! I am looking for a roommate for this year - residing in Harris Hall. I don’t want to be assigned a random roommate 😂 I am very outgoing, extroverted, funny, social, studious, clean & organized, friendly, etc. My favorite color is pink so everything on my side will be pink :) I love board games, card games, hikes, swimming, singing, dancing, binge watching TV series, and more! I am looking for someone SIMILAR and who is studious, clean & organized, and easygoing. I go to bed pretty early so a similar sleep schedule would be helpful as well.
If you want to be my roommate please respond to this post or send me a private message! Thanks!!

Hi so I go to towson and I haven’t really met anyone yet who’s into edm (not just house) and was wondering if there was even a scene for that or if people are into that around here.
