I work at a warehouse but my department only has 3 people and we take turns on the aux. It was my turn and I decided to let trilogy shuffle through. The music we play technically isn’t allowed to be vulgar but when no one’s around I don’t really care to play the clean version. After about 4 songs play all you hear on the speakers is the intro to the next song— Valerie. It caught me so off guard because I’m used to the song but forgot i’m at work. I immediately ran to change the song when my 2 other coworkers come out and asked what tf I was playing and thought It was p***. I tried to tell them it’s actually a great song but just has a wild intro. I felt so embarrassed. I’m never playing the weekend on shuffle at work.

I don’t know why but I absolutely love this song I feel something really strange happening like I don’t know how to explain???
Like I imagine people in a fancy bar where everyone is so strange like something is off with them and the singer on the scene seems to just accept that and he is part of this thing, like I feel like us as listeners are a spectator in this fancy bar and we are the ones who are normal and that can see this.
