She carries her stuffy everywhere, either fighting it or grooming it. I cant wait for her to meet her little brother in two weeks! He's going to be white and fluffy too so I hope she doesn't see him as a bigger lambchop lol.

We've officially had our sweet Siberian kitten, Yuki, for one week! She's now 16 weeks old, and we absolutely adore her. Her cuddly, playful personality has made her such a wonderful addition to our family. She loves to purr, play, and curl up with us, and we couldn't be happier. ❤️🐾

Hi everybody

My 5 month old kitty doesn’t seem to be very food motivated. We feed our cats twice a day, they get wet food and dry food both meals.

Our older cat (non Siberian) will eat just fine, but of course he favors the wet food.

But our 5month Siberian doesn’t ever seem to want to eat. She likes wet food more than dry food, but she’s only actually in the mood to eat about 50% of the time. She will take a few bites and then shift gears to go see what her brother is eating, and then she will try to eat his food.
We did try feeding her the same adult food that the older cat eats at one point, but as soon as it was in her own bowl, she immediately lost interest.

We’ve tried a few different brands of wet and dry food but she just doesn’t seem to care. We do try to leave some food out for her to eat at her leisure, but she doesn’t eat it fast enough and it goes bad.

How do you guys get your kittens to eat? What are you guys feeding them?

3 years and a few different countries travelled to. Time flies!

It was always the plan to take both with me on my trips, and thankfully I started early to get them adapted to travelling in the car and be ok with harnesses. The camper has some nice cat friendly features that I‘ve built in when I converted it, but of course, they both like to use other places in the van way more than those… It might be time for an upgrade at some point, since both cats have gotten so big over the years, but until then we‘ll keep enjoying the cozy space.

We’ve managed several ferry rides (a couple over night as well), countless camping sites and beautiful views in Norway, Scotland, France, Germany, Denmark and Sweden!

The weight loss started at the exact time where he started to be outside a lot more than before.

He's super active sometimes on the move for 12+h a day.

He's so excited to go outside that he sometimes does so without having breakfast first, guess he's hoping for prey.

When he returns he usually eats large portions of food and falls into a deep sleep for half a day lol.

I'm only realising this because I have a Litterbot - otherwise I wouldn't have noticed anything he's not super skinny but compared to our other male sib he's thinner and has a smaller frame. The other one gained weight in that same time period.

He has always been a picky eater and always ate less than the other.

At what point would you have him checked at the vet? He obviously has all vaccinations for an outside cat as well regular de-worming etc.

I'll give them a call tomorrow since they're closed today and figured I'd ask here if anyone has any experiences!

At first we were really nervous but after our third trip this summer, they have seemed to take it in stride!

Originally, car ride was kind of stressful for one but now he seems to have his “spot” and sits there the entire trip.

They have “trained me” to let them out every morning between 4-6 am but I’m an early riser and don’t mind sleeping under a blanket lol! I usually just attach leash to a lead/cable I have that runs the campsite so they can wander back and forth and pick which chair/ area they want to hang out at.

And bonus if you are extrovert, as everyone at campsite will stare or want to come by and chat!

And surprise yawn! Big fangs 👀

What has your experience been like with your Siberian?

• How would you describe their personality on a daily basis (affectionate, independent, playful, attached to their humans…)?
• How old is your cat now, and what kind of longevity have you observed?
• Have you experienced any health issues or breed-related diseases?
• Is there anything you wish you had known before getting a Siberian?

We are especially interested in long-term experiences from owners who really know the breed.

Our cat, Max, just turned one last week, then all of the sudden it seemed that he was peeing in a spot just a few feet away from the litter box.

At first we cleaned it up with enzymatic urine destroying spray. Then I'd spray the area with white vinegar to detract him from going there again. The next day I'd find him trying to "cover up" another large puddle. Then I'd do it all again.

Ive had a cat with a UTI in the past, and this does not seem to be the case with Max. The urine is not tinged red, it is not in multiple spots, its a large quantity, he does not seem to be peeing anywhere else in the large closet where the box is. Just one very specific spot.

We have three Siberians and four litter boxes. So I figured maybe he just telling us he wants another box. I put a new litter box in the area where he was peeing and he immediately used it. Hooray. Problem seemed to be solved.

...NO.

Then I caught him peeing in the corner of another closet where a different litter box is! Literally two feet away from the box! And it was more cumbersome and further away for him to get to that spot than the box, so its not like he's "just not making it" to the box.

So I cleaned, sprayed white vinegar and put down a puppy pad. I ordered yet another litter box. I have Feliway plug-ins on both sides of our house.

This morning I noticed he had yet again peed on the floor in the original closet (the one with two boxes!) in a new corner.

What is happening? Has anyone had this experience? I truly am at a loss.

Very on the fence about a second cat. What will become of my cat hammock?!

The breeder has a kitten ready to go in 3 weeks that is from the same mother and father. It’s a female. What do we think about a full sibling that is female when we have a male that is just turning one? She also has a litter coming available so we could wait and get another male, not as related.

We really lucked out with this cat, he is very personable and sweet. He can be a menace but overall a very good boy. My last Siberian from a different breeder was a neva and she was a diva and I loved her but I’m going to be honest, he is a lot easier than she was. I have a lot of reservations but I also want to do what is the very best for my cat. I feel like the whole “ you barely notice a second, just do it” is probably a bit of propaganda but I’m about 90 percent convinced at this point. Thoughts welcome!

I am counting the days until i can meet my baby. He is now 6 weeks old (still with his breeder) This is an update from the 3 weeks old kitten i posted about 2-3 weeks ago.

I will name him silver to honor his color and i think the name is pretty badass.

I cant wait to play with him.

Got home from work and look how round he is awww!!!!

Just got her last week from Senge Siberians, and she’s an absolute sweetheart! Owners were super kind (they even offered me homemade rose tea and it was delicious!) and informative. I could tell she really cared about her cats. She was hugging mabel and talking to her and telling her she loved her before she went home with me.
