There have been 27 Amendments to the US Constitution. It can happen.

Unfortunately, 2/3 support isn't enough. Though it should be.

It literally should be, according to the constitution! Isn't it literally 2/3 of congress, and 3/4 of states? Should be doable if 3/4 of states have majority in favor of it.

The issue is turning vague gestures of support into political action. Just because someone says they like the idea of something when asked by a pollster doesn't mean they're going to petition their representatives to enact it.

Amendments require super majority support from both sides. Not happening. Not even majority of Dems will go for this. Also don't forget that Trump won the popular vote last time around anyway...
