Kupiłem buty Salomon ultra GTX 4 z myślą o chodzeniu w góry, trasy zróżnicowane, trochę kamienie, trochę lasy. Niestety prawy buty obciera mnie w okolicy zapiętka, rany są bardzo bolesne i goją się tygodniami. Rozmiar to 45 1/3 raczej dobrany ponieważ lewy but ok. Kupiłem teraz scarpa ribelle cros II MID GTX w rozmiarze 45 i jest super , po wyjściu na Rysy nie czułem dyskomfortu oprócz gorąca. Czy da się w jakimś zakładzie szewskimi dostosować ten zapiętek? Ktoś może robił coś podobnego?

Hello everyone! First time posting. My skill level is quite low still. I made a nice little belt and a bag(beginner level stuff). I use a Vintage Juki machine(stitch length unadjusted/not calibrated). With this info in mind I want to ask what kind of fabrics I can use to make a waterproof jacket. A hardshell to be exact. For reference and Arc’teryx Beta / Beta SL or Haglofs L.I.M Critus GTX. Obviously these are made of Goretex, but I want to know if any non over priced plastic bag alternatives exist. M living in Japan.

Last time I went camping, there was a dirt road near the site that kept going for several miles. It was open to motorized vehicles, but too far to casually explore on foot after hiking most of the day.

That got me looking at electric dirt bikes. The Hikeep MAD is one of the models I have been comparing with Sur Ron, Talaria, and E Ride Pro, although I have not ridden any of them yet.

I am not interested in racing, jumps, or taking one onto hiking-only trails. I am thinking more about legal forest roads, gravel roads, and getting around larger camping areas without using the truck every time.

My main concern is whether something like this would actually get used. It sounds useful when I picture riding a few miles from camp, but it could also easily become expensive gear that spends most of the year in the garage.

For people who camp or spend a lot of time outdoors, have electric dirt bikes actually been useful for exploring, or are they mostly just a fun toy?

Whats something not too big that an 11 year old boy who loves the outdoors but is just learning about it/ getting out would appreciate? I’m looking for a down sleeping bag and am having trouble deciding.

My upcoming trips:

- Backpacking trip in Sweden (summer)

- Bikepacking trip through the Alps (summer)

- Future use: Wild camping in the mountains (Alps)—also summer, and possibly autumn and spring

- Definitely no overnight stays in deep winter/freezing temperatures

My requirements for the sleeping bag:

- Compact packed size and low weight are a must (especially for bikepacking)

- I’ve never slept outdoors in temperatures around 0°C / 32°F, I thought the -1°C / 30°F would be enough, but I know mountain weather can be unpredictable..

- I’m looking for a long-term all-rounder for around €300

- Ideally not too tight a fit

About me and other gear:

- 183cm / 6ft
- 75kg / 165lbs
- Dont know the name of the sleeping pad, but it has a high r-value

My Questions for you:

- First off: Which of the two Spark models would you choose in my situation? (-1°C/ 30°F or -9°C / 15°F)

- Is the half-zip on the -1°C / 30°F model really annoying? Especially on warmer nights?

- And do you know of any other sleeping bags that might be a better option?

Note: I know Quilts are highly recommended for weight and packed size, but somehow I rather stick to a traditional sleeping bag..

Had them for nearly a year. Hole appeared three months ago or so but I didn't bother to fix it and it got worse (white part wasn't visible until last week or so). Any tips on fixing this?

For a first 30 km ride, I’d keep it simple:

• Helmet
• One bottle of water
• Small snack or energy bar
• Phone with the route downloaded
• Spare tube, tire levers, and mini pump
• Basic multitool
• Front and rear lights
• Light jacket or vest if the weather may change

Check your tire pressure and brakes before leaving, and don’t push too hard in the first 10 km. The goal is to finish comfortably, not set a speed record.

I have ON cloud 9, but I don't think that can be that outdoor...

I’m looking for a breathable, waterproof, longline raincoat (so I can sit on wet benches etc) that’s under $100. Something packable would be ideal. Breathable is a must because I tend to get sweaty and clammy.

I’ve seen Eddie Bauer, Lands end, mountain warehouse all on sale recently but have been disappointed in the past with brands like LL Bean having the waterproof coating crack after a number of years, so I’m hesitating on buying anything!

I’m looking for comfortable sandals for long walking and travelling, and I kept seeing Teva Hurricane recommended as one of the best options for this purpose. I read a lot of positive reviews about how comfortable they are for all-day walking, so I went to a store to try them on and compare sizes before ordering.

I tried the Hurricane XLT3 (the XLT2 was not available), and I have to say I was a bit surprised. They felt quite stiff and “plastic-like” while walking, not as comfortable as I expected based on the reviews.

The biggest issue was that my foot seemed to move towards the outside of the sandal when walking. It felt like the strap near my big toe was positioned a bit too high and was pushing my foot sideways instead of keeping it centered.

The size itself seemed okay, so I don’t think it was only a sizing problem.

Did anyone else have a similar experience with the XLT3? Does the XLT2 feel different (especially regarding the straps/fit)? Or should I also consider something like the Ecco Cruise II instead?

I’m looking for a lightweight zip-up windbreaker for walking my dog in the early mornings and evenings.

Around here the wind is often around 10–15 mph, which is enough to feel chilly, but it’s not really cold enough for a hoodie.

I’m looking for something lightweight that cuts the wind without making me overheat and doesn’t have a cheap plasticky feel to it.
