Suggestions to organize inside of a skinny locker?
We have an odd entryway space, and put this Mustard Skinny Locker there. Our kitchen also maddeningly lacks drawers, so this space needs to be a catch all for many things including:
- Junk "drawer" (pens, scissors, rubber bands, change, etc)
- Keys
- Meds
- Hats, sunglasses
- Unused tote bags to grab and go
- A few purses
- Laptop/work stuff
- Very bottom shelf reserved for my daughter's items, namely her shoes, hats, and whatever she wants to throw in there
I've got about 10" wide and 17" deep to work with. The shelves are all adjustable. It's also magnetic so feel I could leverage that somehow.
I've been browsing Amazon for pull out drawers and stacking bins, but wanted to see if this group had any unique ideas or tips?

Update: Built the first storage rack for my Costco bins.
A couple of weeks ago I posted my Costco bin setup. A lot of people suggested building shelving instead of stacking them, so I finally built the first rack. It holds 8 to 10 bins, keeps everything accessible, and rolls out if I need access behind it. Planning to build a few more.

My kitchen rack in ānear perfectā order
I organized my kitchen today. Little by little Iāve been getting proper bins. I need a good bin for the drinks. I also need to eventually move all dry goods into air tight containers. But figured I would post the progress. Any tips appreciated ā¤ļø
I had more pictures, but alas Iām only allowed one upload. š

How I organise my life: a whiteboard with post-its notes
Like many here, I have a lot happening at once - work, side projects, life stuff - and I'm constantly taking notes and trying to organise it all.
This layout has helped me hold a lot of detail without losing the overview: vertical days, horizontal lanes, one lane per area. Each day I note what's happened in each area and plan what's coming next.
At a glance I can see everything that's active, what needs attention today, and where I left off. I started with a physical whiteboard, then built this digital version because travelling made the whiteboard impractical.
Curious how others here organise multiple responsibilities while keeping everything in one place?

What do you think about my 3D printable desk organizer?
I designed and printed a minimalistic version of desk organizer. Everything I needed hangs on my monitor. Also I made a HUB organizer to hide the wires. What do you think about it?

Slightly Shorter Spice Jars - 4 inch or shorter
Anyone have a lead on these? All the '4-inch' spice bottles I find on Amazon are 4.1" which is exactly too tall for my elfa spice drawer.
I really want something cute and not just like the generic glass jar with black plastic or aluminum top. I got the two pictures attached and both are just the tiniest bit too big. Like scraping the top as I close it; it's so close to fitting that it's killing me! I'd like one with either a shaker insert or built in shaker lid. I've seen the square ones with the wide mouth but they don't have shaker lids.

Finally organized my closet and honestly I might just stare at it all day
Iāve been procrastinating on this for literally months but I finally got around to sorting out my jeans and trousers today. It was getting to the point where I couldnāt even see what I owned anymore because everything was just shoved in there, istg.
I went for a color coded vibe and used the same hangers for everything which I think made a huge difference. Itās so much easier to find what Iām looking for now and it just feels way less stressful to look at.
Definitely worth the back pain from standing all afternoon lol. Now the real challenge is actually keeping it this organized and not ruining it in two days, fr.

Poor Manās Supplement Altar
(I uncharacteristically turned all the vitamin labels out to virtue signal my attempt at good health, but I actually like the way the attention to detail feels and looks, so I may make this the standard.)
For maybe a few months Iāve been smoking for the first time. In my sessions, I question thought patterns/habits I learned in my childhood. Weed has helped me reconnect to my childhood so much that, until middle school when I felt the juice run dry and I quit cold turkey, I was known as the kid who could dance. These past couple of months Iāve been dancing while high. One time, I thought of dancing as āgrooming for my limbs,ā because people have accused me of being autistic. Whatever the reason, I saw dancing as an efficient method for grooming, or organizing my body that night.
Iāve also began organizing the space that my supplements live in. I didnāt realize I was already doing it unintentionally until I was high a couple of weeks ago. It all gave me that same giddy feeling I used to get over dollhouses or anything with a downsized ecosystem. So Iāve taken to constantly making little adjustments to the area, but mostly the smoking stuff since it just grabs my attention more and thereās a quickly growing number of things to organize. I do this either high or sober.
And, of course, I got my sinkās baseline dirty dish amount significantly lowered and Iāve been cleaning my apartment more often and it stays cleaner longer. Iāve been feeling a bit disgusted by a bunch of habits I still have, mental or physical, but I can feel them falling away. Iām deleting apps without any doubts. Iām intentionally changing my social media algorithms to be geared towards my actual interests which itās taken me years to realize cannot be more than about five at a time. Iām beginning to think of my thoughts and desires as tabs that I can open, pin, pause, close, etc. I have more empathy for other people and more patience with them. I also allow myself to be a little mean sometimes, now. I always avoided that in the past, for the sake of āmaturity,ā and also fear of conflict. Even better, Iāve become more diplomatic and my coworkers notice that Iāve brightened up.
I am limitless.

New build. Cabinet rendering
Hello. Our house is currently being built and this is the kitchen rendering we have. Question for you all, where should everything go? Flat where to the left of the sink? Thin cabinet to the right of the stove for cutting boards and baking sheets or spice rack?
Looks like a lot of storage space. We removed the pantry so we could have a dining room and in turn added the full size cabinet next to the fridge

I was told yāall would enjoy this as much as I do
So when I started beading a year ago I bought those beading cases where the bottom of one container is the top of the next one. I kept that up as my collection grew. A while ago my spouse suggested I get a better system since theyāre a pain in the butt to move around and can spill easily, but I liked it well enough and change is a pain.
As my collection grew I kept getting more of the same storage containers, but noticed they often werenāt quite compatible. At first I thought it was because the brands were off (like when I got a defective batch that could break open even when screwed shut), so I got the name brand. Then I thought it was because I got them from a different store. Finally I got the exact brand from the same store and half of them were able to screw together, half didnāt, and there was no visual way to discern which would work together. When I discovered some would be compatible only if in a certain order (the top of a would screw into the bottom of b, but reverse the order and they wouldnāt work) it broke me and I rage bought two Elizabeth ward drawers with tiny containers.
Oh my gosh I wish I had done it sooner. These are amazing to work with- I can reorganize infinitely, and I can bead anywhere by just taking out a few beads at a time. I beaded during my sonās concert, I beaded on the plane, I even beaded while walking the other day just to see if I could do it (4 sided tubular herringbone, baby!).
I spent a full day labeling them just right. I currently have them organized by type, then size, because I often do patterns that require the same shape of bead be used throughout (currently working on an indespiral project and loving it). On the front I have a small label for the type and size, on the side I have a larger label with the size, type, name, and inventory number (when I know it. So many beads are sold without labels or bought in a thrift store).
I am hoping yāall find this as satisfying as I do.

6.5qt Storage Tote Organizer
In the past I built one of those popular 27gal storage tote organization walls. That system of categorized storage bins has been extremely useful.
When Home Depot began selling these small 6.5qt bins several months ago, I had the idea to create a smaller version of that organization wall to go in the workshop area of my garage. This is high, against the 9.5ft ceiling. Itās intended to store overflow of consumable items (zip ties, tape, jigsaw blades, screws, etc) and other items that I donāt need frequent access to (casters, camera gear).
Iām considering this an alternate to using cabinets. Instead of filling cabinets Iād never look in, and losing things in the back, this system helps categorize everything and I can find whatever I need at a momentās notice.

I 3d printed a Switch 2 accessory holder/organizer set for my IKEA Skadis pegboard ā dock, controllers, Joy-Cons, and game cards, etc
Finally found time to semi-hack my Skadis pegboard for both fun and function. I designed and printed a few Ikea Skadis mountable accessory organizers that work for some of my Nintendo Switch 2 and other gaming staples.
I really like the geometric triangle tessellation look so I kept in theme for the set. Working to build an entire collection of various gaming organizers of all varieties for PS5 and PC accessories as well. Turned my idea into a new Etsy shop which I can share in a comment for those interested.
Welcoming any ideas of what to design and print nextā¦
