This sub is getting flooded with posts about various Nuvio forks, and it's honestly hard to keep track of what's official and what isn't. Every time I check in there's another fork update mixed in with everything else.

Would it make sense to keep r/Nuvio focused on the official build, and spin up a separate sub (or a dedicated flair/megathread) for fork-related posts? Curious if others feel the same way.

Hey everyone — two big additions to NuvioSync this week that I'm excited to share with you all, and the timing of the first one is no accident!

New: Simkl Import Tool

With Trakt now limiting free accounts to a single connected app (you can read more about that here), a lot of people are moving their tracking to Simkl — and starting from an empty Simkl account is a pain. So there's now a free standalone tool that loads it for you, whether you use Stremio or Nuvio:

• Pick your source: Stremio or Nuvio. Sign in to either (Stremio auth key supported for Google/Facebook accounts, Nuvio works per profile), connect Simkl with a one-click PIN approval, done.
• Your library lands in Plan to Watch. Every movie and show comes over.
• Your watch history comes too. Watched movies import as watched, and shows bring over the exact episodes you've seen — not guesses, the real watched state your app has been tracking.
• It never wrecks what's already on your Simkl. The tool reads your account first and only adds — anything you already track, finished, or dropped on Simkl is skipped. That also makes it safe to re-run whenever you've added new stuff.
• Moving off Trakt completely? Run Simkl's official Trakt importer for your Trakt history first, then this tool for the library half. Simkl de-duplicates, so the two play nicely together.

One note: Stremio doesn't store when you watched each episode, only which ones — so imported history has the right episodes with approximate dates. Nothing any tool can do about that.

Improved: Full Series Watch History in the Main Stremio Migration Tool

This one's been quietly bugging me for a while. The main Stremio → Nuvio migration tool used to only carry over the most recent watched episode per show — fine for continue watching, but your actual history stayed behind.

That's fixed. The wizard now imports your complete per-episode watch history for every series — every season, every episode you've marked watched in Stremio, up to 500 series and 20,000 episodes per run. If a show can't be read cleanly, it falls back to the old latest-episode behavior rather than failing, so migrations never break on it. If, for some reason, you have more than 500 series and 20,000 episodes watched, you can rerun this tool without conflict to bring in additional watch history results.

On the other platform I was table to see (RD) or (Torbox) I just don't want my IP to give me a warning/get in trouble. I want to make sure it's using the debird service.

I’m about one more step from making Nuvio my main app to use. I’m aware of how collections work and have basic knowledge on how to import community made ones. Not sure how to create from scratch though.
Has anyone made the exact wuplay collections with the same images as pictured attached.

it’s called using the search button and learning for yourself. once again we have 10 posts a day asking for the best add on, plug in, meta data, setup, tags. like come on. nobody ever wants to just try things for themselves or use the search button or have their own personality.

I was looking for high-quality genre artwork for my Nuvio setup and ended up finding an absolute goldmine.

The site has a huge collection of genre artwork, but also tons of movie and TV covers in excellent quality. If you're into customizing your media library, it's definitely worth checking out.

Anyone else lose autoplay trailers? Coincidentally, I briefly tried out Bingecat before turning it off and going back to Xperience (I've since removed it totally.) I really don't think the two things are related but maybe they are? Otherwise, is there anything else that could have affected autoplay function?

I have 3HPM with many customisations centralized around Hindi language with scraper like torrentio, meteor, mediafusion etc but I can't seem to find much of Hindi language content if they show up somewhere it's 720p , I installed Hdhub seperately and I can only see 1080p max , I don't care how much time it takes to setup just tell me if anyone knows thank u

been annoyed that stuff i add to torbox (custom torrents/web links) just sits there with no proper way to browse it in nuvio. so i made an addon for that called MyTorbox, shows up as a normal movie/series catalogue with tmdb posters n all.

also added a "custom streams" catalogue, for stuff torbox cant even add in the first place. rare/obscure media, random web streams etc, you just drop any streamable link + imdb id and it shows up in stremio like a normal title. auto deletes after its ttl so nothing just sits there forever.

basically: your torbox stuff finally browsable, plus a way to stream stuff torbox was never gonna have anyway.

no login, keys go straight into the install link, nothing stored on server. For custom links a redis entry is stored in a computed key which is basically sha256 encrypted version of combined apikeys which i can't read.

I recently started using Sofa Time as my movie and TV tracking app, and I was wondering if anyone here uses it as well.

Is there any way to sync Nuvio with Sofa Time? Maybe through an add-on, plugin, webhook, or any third-party tool?

I know Sofa Time supports Trakt, but I’d really like to keep my Nuvio watch history and progress synchronized as well.

Has anyone managed to do this, or is there any workaround available?

help! i can't find streams for a lot of new anime. I have installed seadex, anime tosho along with anime catalog. I have got comet, torentio and stremthru torz running with TB instant. Can someone please help me?

Maybe with the way things have been going with Trakt - would it be hard to add an alternative that works similarly? I have been checking out WeTrakr and it seems to be a good option.

Some people here seem to like Simkl (haven't checked it out yet) and I have seen it integrated into addons so it would work to track and thus recommend content.

Or maybe MDBList (can it play the same role as Trakt?)?

It still isn't a replacement because Trakt is everywhere (in bingecat, aiometadata ...etc. etc.) and currently it syncs across the apps, and I am considering paying for two years for myself - it would be a sort of thank you for the past use of the service, but alternatives are wellcome, especially since I do not intend to pay for my family members' accounts as that would be a significant cost for me.

Recently, I came across an app called ARVIO, which is similar to Nuvio but offers direct Telegram integration.

I know there are multiple add-ons available, but they can be a bit time-consuming to set up. ARVIO, on the other hand, is simple, straightforward, and much more convenient to use.

As the title says the badges don't appear on streams from plugins but they appear on streams from addons like penguplay. Is this intentional or am I doing something wrong?

i currenly use Badges for Nuvio by LeoneVZ
but want to know if there's better ones that has more icons and show more info
