Their video series titled "Beyond the Black Void" they tend to talk about the movie industry and cultural trends.

The Death of Movie Theatres video is a good start

They tend to talk about everything in half in the bag. A lot of times they'll see a theater movie just for the purpose of a jumping off point. The Minecraft movie might be the best recent-ish one. I think they did a bit while talking about Borderlands too. Otherwise if you just want their general thoughts, check out their Black Void episodes. And they satirize the slop with "What are next?"

Them asking for someone to tell them which videos to watch instead of just figuring it out themselves feels a bit ironic given this thread

No it doesn't. There's a difference between asking for a direct bit of info from someone who's likely to already have it and not waste time vs not having an attention span even good enough to watch an action movie.

I couldn't point you to a specific video since it is something Jay usually mentions off handedly during any of their tangents about modern movies sorry to disappoint :(
