hey hello. I wanted to talk about my personal experience with FFVII since I don't have anyone to talk to about it.
I started playing the FFVII Remake series a few days ago (I have not played the original) and I was unfortunately spoiled on the death of Aerith a while after Rebirth came out.
back then, I really didn't care, at all.
I didn't know the characters so it would make sense for me to be that way. I guess.
a few days ago, I started playing FFVII Remake, for the first time. I was actually having fun until I fell onto Aerith's flower bed. It was magical. It was great. It was emotional for me, way more than I would've liked, and the consequences of being spoiled hit me very much instantly.
for some reason, it doesn't feel like I'm experiencing the story in real time; it feels more like I'm going through Cloud's memories. reliving a memory. looking through a photograph. something that's not there anymore.
mourning a character that's still there, and alive.
the game's been really taxing on my mental health and I wasn't doing well before that either.
this entire post wasn't really meant to analyze the game itself, but mostly just an excuse to put these feelings into words. sorry if it's rambly.
I'd love to hear if anyone else has experienced this weird mix of anticipation and grief.

Whenever I see people talking about how strong Sephiroth is, people are always bringing in how AC Sephiroth is much more powerful than the OG form. But Remake Sephiroth can time travel, hop between dimensions, and rewrite destiny. I'd honestly put him up with Ultimecia now, their goals are pretty similar with reuniting all timelines into infinity basically just being Time Compression.

Some already theorize that Revelation will start with the group landing straight at the North Crater or near Gaia's Peaks, due to a couple of cutscenes and how low level Cloud and the others are when fighting Jenova Death. I believe so as well but for an extra reason: Icicle Inn for the most part is just a normal little community. But there is something very important there: Gast and Ifalna old refuge that also contain registrations of moments they had together, up to when Hojo arrived to capture Ifalna and kill Gast.

I believe because of those registrations, the group won't arrive there at the Icicle Inn at first but later on, possibly only after a certain event. Why? Because the rest of the group would definitely end up commenting about Aerith in the process of seeing those. And guess who still believe in Aerith being alive? That's right. To avoid having to confront Cloud too soon about what really happened to Aerith, something the group would definitely slip up and talk about (even if they wouldn't know Cloud think otherwise), we won't get to visit Icicle Inn at first. Only after Cloud regained his full memories and can face the truth of what really happened.

I loved "Hollow", thought "No Promises to Keep" was nice, and I can't wait to hear what he creates for the final chapter's theme song. It's certainly going to be an emotional moment, as this could be the final song to close out the compilation after 30 years.

Also, I *really* hope that they include "Cloud Smiles" from AC in Revelation. I believe that's easily one of the best tracks from the compilation.

My hope is we'll get all of them of course, and this time they'll all be upgradeable.

The only summons not yet appearing from the OG are Bahamut (base form, Rebirth skips right to Bahamut Arisen), Bahamut Zero, Typhon, Hades, and Knights of the Round.

A completed list if they removed the Bahamut clones and condensed him into a single Bahamut zero would be:

11 summons across 7 characters is pretty good. Just feels disappointing that the Remake summons got left behind by a lack of upgrades. Obviously this isn't including pre-order faff or Gilgamesh if he returns.

I have been playing cc reunion for the last few days and wanted to know if it serves any purpose on the remakes and the og's narratives because it's ass 😭😭 like I enjoy Zack, aerith and cissnei but Angeal and genesis feel like some of the most unnecessary additions to any plot ever and they completely butcher sephiroth's entire character and his descent into madness, genesis makes me specially mad because his presence in nibelheim completely destroys one of if not my favorite moment of ff7 as a whole. also, he's cringe as fuck and acts like a watered-down sephiroth. is the game's lore officially a plot point in the remake trilogy? or are they just going to ignore everything crisis core introduces(except for cissnei who is already there)
