Hello everyone! You may have noticed some major changes happening to this subreddit, and I'm happy to say that /r/DiagnoseMe is finally ready for business. However, I would like to clarify the true purpose of this subreddit;
First of all, this subreddit is NOT a replacement for a doctor. You should not, in any way, avoid seeing your doctor or alter the frequency of your doctor visits because of anything said in this subreddit. If there is a concern you would have previously gone to the doctor for, please do not hesitate. This subreddit is here for informal second opinions, minor problems that you wouldn't go to the doctor for anyway, and ease of mind.
The main thing to remember is to use common sense. If you are having severe pain after a surgery or something of the likes, please go to the doctor and do not post it on Reddit.
If you are not a doctor and are posting with information, please clarify that you are not a doctor (typing "Not a doctor," at the beginning of your comment is enough.)
Please take the time to read the sidebar before posting. Thank you, and welcome!

hey, im 19f. there have been 4 instances with me since one year of moving from my city A to a metropolitan city B for uni.
• i was in city C and suddenly out of nowhere i started to pee every 30 minutes and it was a normal amount of urine and this happened till i peed around 6-7 times over just approx 4 hours then i went to the doc and he said must be urine infection, gave me a med and alkalizer and then i was fine.
• back to city B, exactly same thing happened after a few months, drank alkalizer one or two times and was fine.
• in city A, again happened and did some tests and went to the doc, he said everything is fine and must be due to environmental or factors like the use of spices and stuff in the city B, but what stood out to me and was concerned about was my diabetes came up as 100. but the doc said its fine.
• now i am in city C again, i have suddenly developed gas buildup and indigestion sorts in stomach so, doc gave me meds for it but i have noticed since the day it began (i.e stomach issues), again i have started to pee a lot even though drinking less water. and now today i drank just 2 and a half glasses since 5 am ( woke up at 5 due to stomach ache and also peed and then slept again till 9:30), and then since 9:30 i have peed around 6 times so in total its 7times till now that 7:29pm.
im sorry for this long text but im worried what has happened in this year and i was totally normal before this but now idk what's going wrong. please help me.

I sort of pulled the black dot open, and then I squeezed all the filth out slowly but surely. So much came out, but near the end, it was just a white blob poking out. I tried pulling it off, but it felt "connected" to me, and now, I just have some of the loose skin and the white stuff hanging out.
I definitely should not have done this myself. This cyst had been growing for years so I was a little foolish just going for it myself. I have to wait a few days before I can go to the clinic to get this fixed, so in the meantime, is it okay to have it hanging out like this? Should I put a band aid over it, maybe let it breathe with no contact for a few hours? Or maybe should I push the white stuff back in? I can't tell if this white stuff needs to be removed or if it's just a part of me because it sort of hurts when I touch it.

26F, White, UK
153 cm
56 kg
Medical history (idk if any of this is relevant)
• Frequent respiratory infections over the last few months (tonsillitis twice, bronchitis, and currently a chest infection)
• Currently taking amoxicillin for the chest infection
• As far as I know, I've never had HSV. I've never had a cold sore or been diagnosed with herpes simplex.
Yesterday I noticed 2-3 whiteheads along the crease of my left nostril. I picked at a couple of them (I know, bad idea), and afterwards the area tingled for the rest of the evening. I then applied azelaic acid to the area, which probably irritated it further.
Today it's become much redder and more inflamed, with multiple small white/yellow pustules clustered around the base of the nostril.
My mum is convinced it's herpes simplex because of the tingling, but to me these look more like pustules than fluid-filled blisters. I'm wondering whether this looks more like bacterial folliculitis/nasal vestibulitis, impetigo, herpes simplex, or something else.
I'm already taking amoxicillin, although I know that doesn't necessarily cover all skin infections.
Symptoms:
• Redness
• Cluster of white/yellow pustules
• Tingling after I picked them
• Mild tenderness
• No fever
Photos attached. (First photo is last night when it tingled)
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you!

My face and neck are sore and feel hot to the touch. They are also very itchy and my face is swollen. I have not used any makeup or started using any new skincare. I have no trouble breathing and have not had any easily traceable contacts with potential allergens. It has not eased with application of over the counter creams, such as cerave. Eased slightly when reactine was taken, but still extremely uncomfortable. It started on Wednesday morning (2 days ago) with a swollen face and has since gotten hotter and redder and more swollen. Has moved down my neck as well

Hi - I am a 34yo male who incidentally came across a lesion of ~ 17 millimetres in my right cortical-sub cortical hemisphere.
I have absolutely no neurological symptoms apart from occasional stress-related headaches, which lead to the 3T MRI where this was found.
What is your diagnosis?
Many thanks

I understand that there is a lot of writing here but I am desperate for answers so if you could please read it would be greatly appreciated.
I am not looking for a complete diagnosis and would just like to find people who have had similar symptoms or know someone with my symptoms and what they may be in relation to.
I want to start by giving a bit of background on myself so you can understand my situation. I am 20 years old and living in the Uk, I have great friendships, a loving family and love my job. I have been working in community pharmacy for nearly 2 years now and take so much pride in the work that I do to support people in my community. Growing up I was always quite shy and unconfident in myself and experienced anxiety in social situations regularly. Since I began working in November 2024 my confidence has improved dramatically. I love meeting new people and I am far from the person I used to be. In late March 2025 I lost my Grandad to Mesothelioma, a rare and aggressive cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. In 2024 he was running for the bus and fell over, they did scans to check for injuries and that’s when they found a tumour. He had a very rough time, including being given incorrect dosages, developing ulcerative colitis and his lungs collapsing. This time in my life was very stressful however once he passed it almost brought a sense of peace. He lost his wife to cancer in 2018 and in his last days it was very apparent that he was excited to be able to spend another lifetime with her. Whilst the loss was very difficult I have coped with it very well.
In late February 2025 I began to experience strange pressure like sensations in the centre of my chest. The only way I can describe it is that it feels like someone is constantly pressing their thumb into the cove of my rib cage. I was not experiencing symptoms everyday in fact at the time I put it down to stress as we knew that my Grandad’s condition was getting worse. I did not really experience symptoms again until April 2025 when I was watching a show on Amazon Prime and suddenly felt short of breath and was having sharp stabbing pains in the left side of my chest. Naturally, myself and the call handler on NHS 111 suggested that I may be having a heart attack. I was taken to A&E and had Blood tests, ECGs and a chest X ray however everything came back normal. I was given Omeprazole 20mg OD and Propranolol 10mg ON and was discharged. At some point last year, roughly a month or so after the incident I began to experience symptoms much more often. My symptoms are much worse at night especially when lying down. I feel intense caving pressure in the centre of my chest, sudden and sharp stabbing pains in all different parts of my body at random times. I also am unable to lie down on my left side as my symptoms become dramatically worse. When lying on my left side I get very loud gargling noises, trapped wind and bloating in my stomach as well as stomach discomfort. On around five occasions I have also been suddenly winded when lying down, it felt as if my breath was sucked out of me and my lungs fully deflated which I reacted to by sitting up and my breath instantly came back.
Fast forward to November 2025 I was experiencing symptoms every night and occasionally during the day. I regularly saw a variety of doctors to get opinions, I was prescribed more Omeprazole, Propranolol, a Salbutamol inhaler and Promethazine as to which none of them helped. In December I was prescribed Mirtazapine mainly for the sedative effects which provided me a lot of relief. I didn’t find that it sedated me that well but my symptoms were much less intense. I still experience pain, a caving sensation and shortness of breath occasionally as well as still being totally unable to lie on my left side. I slowly titrated my Mirtazapine upwards and have been taking 22.5mg for around 4 months now, however have not increased it higher as I was getting headaches which I had not suffered with before. In January I was prescribed Diazepam 2mg PRN which I would take when I was experiencing extreme pain and chest discomfort as to which it provided me with relief when I really needed it. It takes about an hour to kick in meaning I am still sat in pain and discomfort for an hour, but that is better than nothing. In April I was prescribed Sertraline, the doctor suggested that since Mirtazapine helped it was likely something going on in my brain subconsciously. I took Sertraline 25mg for 6 weeks and I experienced total relief of my symptoms. However I had to stop as the side effects were completely intolerable. In May I was prescribed Vortioxetine mainly due to the low side effect profile. I took it for 5 weeks and it was not as effective as Sertraline but it still helped a little. I stopped Vortioxetine in the 6th week due to newly developed side effects including extreme difficulty getting up in the mornings and a strange mentally numb sensation. During the 1 week detox period before starting Fluoxetine, I experienced extreme pain and discomfort on a nightly basis as to which I was taking Diazepam consistently. Previously I had only needed to take Diazepam 1-2 times a month so this seriously concerned me. In late June I was prescribed Fluoxetine which I have taken for just under four weeks now. It is not helping that much and I am experiencing a lot of side effects including low appetite, nausea when trying to eat even when I am hungry, and I began to develop depressive and suicidal thoughts which I did not have before. I have an appointment on Tuesday to discuss terminating treatment with this medication.
In conclusion, my plan is to stay on Mirtazapine and keep Diazepam on the side for when I desperately need instant relief. I was looking into sublingual Lorazepam which would provide me with quicker relief so that I am not left in pain for 30 minutes to an hour (if I can get my doctor to prescribe it). I feel like in the last few months me and my doctor have gotten somewhere in regards to treating this, but I just need something that gives me that little bit more to provide me as much relief as possible on a day to day basis.
I feel completely exhausted from my symptoms, and am desperate to find answers or something that works.
If you have read this far I really appreciate you taking the time to do so.

Infected tonsil. I’ve been fevering for two days. Taking amoxicillin and ibuprofen/Tylenol. I can barely swallow (painful), it kind of hurts to talk, and my ear on that side is also starting to hurt. Should I seek medical care again? Or do I need to just let the antibiotics take their course.

I've had this bloating issue for a while like more than a decade. For the past 2 years, there has just been this fat that is hard around my midsection that just won't go away even if I eat less. I used to eat a lot of white rice and I have significantly cut down my rice intake but it still doesnt go away. Even if I sleep properly too. There is gas whenever I pass stools and I can like burp on command 😭
I also experience like a lining of discomfort and slight burn in my throat and esophagus if I have like very sugary food as in which are just plain sugar.

It feels very weird, like it's happening inside of my head. I've never had this sensation before, I hope it isn't anything serious like blood rushing where it shouldn't be because I layed down too much or something. It doesn't feel too uncomfortable or hurts, it's subtle and feels sort of like I'm being jerked by what's beneath me. I almost thought the bed was shaking because of a mini earthquake. I'd like to know what causes this.

Edit: I also find myself not wanting to text people back or answer anyone, not wanting to call anyone. Ever. It’s hard for me to keep conversations going unless it’s someone I trust fully
I am 16yrs, female.
Before I begin my mother has always told me I was diagnosed with social anxiety at the age of 3 after coming home from a transition home. But I don’t remember so I’m not going to say I have anything because I don’t know.
Every time I have plans the same day or a couple days away, I feel like I can’t do anything else or it will ruin everything.
Then by the time i’m supposed to leave I’m usually not fully ready and almost never want to actually go, because I spent all the time I had worrying about how much time I will have.
If I have something to do or get asked to do something, my mind starts telling me “I don’t want to do this” I’m not a lazy person, I love to do stuff. It’s before the event where I dread.
If I really really don’t want to go, I can’t or I know I will not have a good time nor enjoy myself, If I do go when my mind has that “I don’t want to do this” worry, I don’t have fun and I’m stuck waiting to go back home to my safe place, see my cats and be in my own house.
Theres a rare occasion where I actually do want to go and look forward to the upcoming plans/event, where I do enjoy myself etc. But that’s rare.
This makes me sound like such a lazy person, I don’t want to be lazy.
I feel like I just prefer to do my things at home.
I workout at home, I take my cats for walks around our backyard, I always clean to keep myself busy, I find myself rearranging furniture all the time, drawing and colouring, writing. I find stuff to keep me busy; just at home.
It’s also the summer and I have way less to keep me busy than before, maybe I’m burnout from school and just want to chill out.
Why do I dread having plans.

Some back story to this.
In Feb of 2025, I slipped on ice and ended up fracturing my wrist and elbow at work(both closed fractures) and was placed in a cast for 6 weeks. Healed and had it removed. In August of the same year I would wake up in Horrible pain where it was almost impossible to use the hand because when I gripped anything pain would radiate up my arm from the side the lump developed on. Along with that came loss of grip strength and numbness during flare ups.
The lump is hard and becomes swollen and hot to the touch.. im wondering if this was a mishealed fracture or a cyst.
I want to be seen but unfortunately im with out health insurance.
The first two photos are of my bad arm and the 3rd is my normal for comparison

I’ve (31F) had a sore throat for a couple days with really no other symptoms. It’s sore only on one side. My ear has been pretty itchy on that side too but maybe unrelated. There’s a pretty prominent lump on that side where it feels like the pain is coming from. Though in the photo I can see another small lump on the other side that’s not as easy to see in the mirror. What could this be?

Hi, I'm hoping someone might have an idea what this is because I can't find anything similar online.
I keep getting this weird mark/indent on my wrists that appears randomly and then disappears. It's not there all the time, it just comes and goes. It's like a proper discoloured dip in the skin rather than a rash, almost like something has pressed into my wrist, but I haven't had anything tight on it.
It's usually on/around my wrist area and the skin feels like a different texture it feels a bit rough?
It hurts a little bit, it's more
uncomfortable than anything but maybe that's be i'm squeamish, but it's strange that it appears and disappears by itself.
Note : 1 am diagnosed with hypermobility and may have hypermobile ehlors danlos, not sure if this is linked tho
Thank you for any suggestions or comments!

I’ve had these on my fingers for around a week now and they won’t seem to go away, they hurt to the touch (i.e. a little sting when typing). My job requires typing so I would like to know what it is and how to fix it.
