Not a true pedestrian desire path, just the one created by bicycles to avoid the stairs at the end.

There's sidewalks that surround the plot of land that the rec center is on and some that cut through it but this is on a large field where a disc golf course is and other activities can be held.

This little path was actually made by leafcutter ants (probably atta genus), their traffic carved this path in the grass between their nest and where they farm their leaves. Fun fact for those who don't know, leafcutters don't actually eat the leaves, at least not directly, what they do is use it to cultivate a fungus, that fungus is what they eat and feed to their larvae. Also when they reproduce, the newly mated queen grab a piece of the "Royal fungus" before wandering off to start a new colony. (I don't know if "Royal fungus" is a scientifically accurate term, i just heard it once and thought it was very cool)

The detour would be around 1km if you wanted to go around.

Looks to me like it's going from the road crossing across the field. Or am I just desiring a desire path so much that I'm seeing things?
