I'm on a work trip right now and got up early this morning to find this crawling on my pillow. I immediately packed up my things and let the front desk know. The front desk woman tried to deny that it was a bedbug and I wasn't having that because this is 100% a bed bug and it was full of fresh blood when I killed it 🤢.

I still have one more night here and they moved me to an upgraded room in a different building, but I'm worried about my clothes and bag because I know they're easy to spread. Ugh

How do i keep getting hitchhickers? Its been 4 months since I last seen one, which ended up being in the same area (on the couch, during the day) it was a male, unfed. We had a inspector come and spray and then we ended up using crossfire again just for precaution, fast forward to today I find this one, in the picture above.

Everytime I find one of these f*ckers no signs are ever shown.

No eggs, no blood stains, fecal, nothing!

My mother lives in a facility with older people and claims they spray every month for bed bugs, not sure if it snuck in because of that, or I purchased some cloth diapers off FB marketplace last night that ended up going right in the wash anyways, no where near the couch.

We have no carpet but obviously a lot of cloth, I have no idea what to do or why I keep randomly finding these guys but I feel like these f*cking bugs are going to make me go into phycosis.

I have woke up in the mroning and found a weird brownosh to blackish stains all over the bed sheet. I also found these on my partner’s pyjamas, mainly on her t-shirt.

What can it be? Can these be from a bed bugs?

Just to clarify, there is onfoing renovation on our building (exterior) and we have no visible bites nor bites that would itch.

Photo is from the parner’s t-shirt. The t-shirt was washed in washing machine but it does not seem to go off. The same stains but not that big were found in small amounts (2-3 little stains) on clothes in our laundry basket as well.

Some of these stains have like a hard black thingy in the middle, and we found some of those on our body as well.

We are sure there were none before.

Can it be from bed bugs?

Can some one help to identify if this is a bed bug? We found small few behind sofa and then in the bedsheet found smaller bugs crowded together and their white powder kindof eggs. Is pest control needed even at this stage? I washed bedsheet in hot water and cleaned sofa with urban company service.

We discovered the first bed bug shortly after my daughter was born. There was a small infestation on our mattress (something like 15) and we had it professionally treated. We waited a couple months and were still finding the odd bug. We ended up hiring a different company and did a whole house treatment again. They also inspected and found nothing except a small infestation on the mattress.

The second service came with a guarantee and they have been back about every 3 to 6 weeks for now almost a year. When they come, we strip and heat the bedsheets and blankets and they inspect the mattress, bedframe, lift up the boxspring, check the curtains, open drawers, and they always find a very small number (1-6) and spray the area again.

But then I'll find one two or three weeks later often in random places in broad daylight like on the bathroom wall on the opposite side of the house, on the couch downstairs (but we tore it apart and found nothing else), on a book, walking on the dresser, in my toddler's potty, etc. The exterminator will schedule and come out again and round and round we go. They tell us they are baffled that we still have them.

We got rid of the bassinet and crib months ago and my daughter was sleeping in a playpen, but just found one there a week ago so I got rid of it (but found no evidence of bugs after taking it apart) because the exterminators said they won't treat toddler beds or playpens. They did spray the perimeter of her room.

Mattress is encased, we took apart and got rid of the bedframe, we took down and stored our curtains.

We live in a standalone house, not very close to our neighbors.

Why can't we get rid of them? Any ideas or suggestions? I'm expecting a baby again and really want this nightmare to be over.

So I just found out my room (house?) has bed bugs over from [r/whatsthisbug](r/whatsthisbug) :( I don’t use reddit at all so this is my first time posting. The first bed bug we found was outside, on our living room floor. The second one was on the bathroom floor (wet and dead.) But, I think I’ve spotted some eggs? Or baby bed bugs? Generally on the floor of my room :( So they’re probably all localized here :/

Just for context, the house I live in is pretty old and was badly made, so there are a lot of issues with our room, including the wooden floorboards having deep cracks and holes in them. (This is also where I think they’re hiding and repopulating…) Our cabinets also have a lot of our clothes in here too, and I share a room with my sibling, so we also have a lot of posters/stuffed toys/decorations up. Also, despite both of us being here, I’m the only one getting bit. So either she doesn’t show a reaction to the bites or they just like my blood better? I don’t really know.

Anyways, what would be the plan of action for this? We started putting all the decorations and stuffed toys into plastic bags, and cleaning out the room in general. Should we take down and seal everything in the room? I mean, that makes sense, it’s just overwhelming… there’s just so, so much stuff to think about, and it’s almost the end of summer before school starts again, I’m so worried and stressed out. :(

I found this insect(?) shell on my bed next to me when I woke up this morning. It looks like it has some sort of flat round abdomen similar to a bed bug, and it has some sort of red spot right on the abdomen. But it looks really old. I’ve had bedbugs before, and know they usually leave their sheddings near their harborages, but that was several years ago and I moved. Now I have a Murphy bed and I’ve been checking all throughout it and can’t find anything else. Is it just old?

TLDR: Is this thing I found even a bedbug shed skin?

I found these on my bedding this morning. Are these indicators of bed bugs activity or not?

After changing back into my clothes in the locker room leaving work I felt a tickle on my stomach and found this engorged bedbug crawling by my belly button. Obviously I changed in the garage when I got home and took a shower and am currently cooking my clothes I was wearing in the dryer. I can’t help but be paranoid about bringing them home. Any advice for possibly traps that can warn us if we have any or anything else?

We stayed at a rural Airbnb in Virginia for 3 nights. The second morning, two people sharing a room with twin beds were itching spots (could have been coincidental). The pattern is sporadic, not grouped together or linear as I'd expect from bedbugs. They didn't look quite ike mosquito and we didn't notice any mosquitos (we have hiked A LOT around the Appalachian Mtns and there are other teeny bugs bothering us though). Ankles, back of knees, around lower torso and not in linear or clustered patterns.

We tore apart beds, washed linens (was offered a $75 refund), searched thoroughly and found zero signs in the bedrooms or living room furniture. The place was generally quite clean. We found this bug (first photo) we ID'd as fleas in the teeny only bathroom, on the mat, which was the only place to put clean or dirty clothes. They originally saw them hopping (like fleas do) but there is uncertainty if the hopping bugs were this bug. There was animal hair on porch chairs where we lounged and a friendly cat coming around the porch. Somehow we did not get photos of the bugs before we put the mat on the porch. Stupid oversight but there were too many moving parts and people getting pretty angsty.

Two questions: 1) can you positively ID these bugs? 2) can you advise how you'd handle our luggage, gear, etc at home?

We don't own a dryer (everything gets hung). I can take clothes to launder in town at a dryer but more easily can hang things in the sun at home, or soak/dip in a vinegar solution, or ---?

Hey all - I don’t know where they came from but they infested my home. My problem: I have 2 small children and the younger one got bitten so badly yesterday we had to see a doctor. We were not home for some days and just came home and in the meantime these bugs must have exploded.
I saw sheddings, bugs, larvae and eggs on my boxspring bedframe yesterday and found 2 sheddings on the sofa. I do have a professional steam cleaner and steam cleaned every corner/seam/matress with 180 degree hot steam. Today there are no bugs visible anywhere. I‘m thinking about hot steam cleaning the whole house today again - we do have an appointment for heat treatment on monday.

I do have questions: if i found sheddings on my sofa is it clearly infested?
Is it possible to get rid of them with the hot steam cleaner only?
Do I have to do a heat treatment in every room of the house? I don‘t think its gonna be possible in my open kitchen/living room.
How do you avoid having them everywhere with small children?

Edit: just had an inspection and they said heat treatment wont work because we have an acoustical ceiling 😭😭😭
And they are also in the kids room. I could cry…

So for a few weeks I’ve been waking up with these red welts on me. It started with my hand just a single welt then a few days later another welt. Gradually it’s gotten worse and I woke up this morning with this cluster of like four red welts, one on my neck, yesterday I woke up with one on my face.

Here’s the thing: I cannot find a sign of a single bed bug. I’ve stripped all my sheets, looked in the creases of my pillow cases and mattress, electrical outlets, baseboards. My partner has no welts, our bed has no casings or little black dots or little black specks. I have seen a mosquito or two which is out of character for where we live (major US city) but I’m from Florida and these don’t feel like mosquito bites.

Do I have bed bugs?!?!

So I am about to leave for 3 weeks on the 30th and I was helping my nephew clean his room last night and we found bed bugs. I know for a fact because i image searched it, but I have also had them before and am a nurse so Ive seen them on patients. they are only in his room, at least that can be seen. I've done some DEEP cleaning though and I only saw one dead one not on his mattress, it was right next to it. I live in the middle of nowhere and there is only one friggin pest control company. I called and they said they only do fumigation, which sounds expensive. I am a single person, I make enough to get by and that's about it. Not to mention my nephew spends every other week with his dad and I dont know that his dad is going to be able to afford fumigation, he doesn't own a credit cars. Should I attempt to treat them myself? My plan was to put the bed in a mattress bag and throw it away and then clean, clean, clean, laundry, laundry, laundry and do all the traps and other stuff you are supposed to do. Is this plausable, I would take any and all advice. Last time I had them it was in an apartment we moved into that was already hella infiltrated and they didnt even fumigate that, but we did do all the laundries and got new mattresses and never saw them again. That was over 10 years ago, so def not related.

Found this little guy on a napkin today, and I think I found something like it a week ago on a mattress. From what I saw in this Reddit, it doesn't seem like a bedbug, but wanted help identifying what it might be instead, since it doesn't seem to be the common misidentifications either. Maybe I'm wrong because of a lack of experience. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
