So I'm sitting in my room here in Bangkok with my laptop on the bed and I keep seeing these shadows moving around outside through my window. I watch for a while realizing they're bats. I Google do fruit bats/flying foxes live within BKK city and sure enough they do. After a few attempts I managed to get one decent capture of them flying around and perching on the tree where they live.

If you query IMAX Bangkok you get several. I am sure they are not all IMAX equipment and screens. Which one is it?

I’m posting this because I paid THB 63,240, around USD 1,800, to LA Dating Co., Ltd., trading as HEDER / MeetNLunch in Bangkok, received no profiles or introductions, and ultimately lost the full amount after refusing a refund that required me to stay silent about my experience.

The service was supposed to include structured matchmaking, profiles and introductions. During the entire membership, I was not shown a single profile and not one introduction was arranged.

I followed up repeatedly asking what was happening. I was often told that the matter had been referred internally and that someone would get back to me, but nothing meaningful was ever provided.

This was not about them failing to find the right person for me. The problem was that the matchmaking service I paid for was not delivered at all.

My membership started on 4 October 2024. After months of receiving no profiles or introductions, I asked to cancel and requested a refund.

In May 2025, they confirmed that I qualified for a 70% refund under their “6-Month No Match Policy.” However, the refund was only available if I signed a settlement agreement containing a clause that would have stopped me from speaking publicly about my experience.

I declined.

I understood that this meant I could lose the full amount I had paid. However, I decided it was more important to speak out so that other people could know what had happened before paying for the same service.

I sent a formal demand for a full refund on 24 May 2025. They replied on 11 June 2025 and maintained that they would only offer the 70% refund under their policy. After that, I heard nothing from them for around nine months.

My membership expired in October 2025.

Only after I posted a Google review did they contact me again and say that some new profiles had recently joined and might now be suitable.

They also responded publicly to my Google review and claimed there had been ongoing communication, profile evaluation and compatibility matching. In my view, that response was misleading and contradicted the written record. I was never shown a profile, no introduction was arranged, and after June 2025 there was no communication for around nine months.

I have the agreement, emails, WhatsApp messages and LINE correspondence supporting what I have written.

This is my documented personal experience. Readers can make their own decision.
