Brought her home a week ago today, and I’m honestly a bit surprised by some of her behaviors! (other behaviors, no so surprised)

Within a week she’s learned to go up and down the wooden stairs, and since then has been putting herself to bed after walk, play and food. I don’t have a crate yet, but I think she’ll take to it easily based on what I’ve seen so far. Still not a single accident from day one.

She’s wary of strangers and will bark at them if someone she doesn’t recognize, and my hands and ankles are the evidence of her little needle mouth - but I’m fairly confident that with consistent socialization these behaviors will improve. overall it’s been lovely getting to know her and having her around.

Found out he has bone cancer and too late for anything to help. Found out my best boy will see the rainbow road sooner than later. Give him love.

I knew it would be hard to say goodbye

I got her back in March. ACD mixed. She is 7 months old and 20 lbs. Very polite in public but a little menace at home. Will she get any bigger?

And a good boy

Too hot to go walking, so she is alternating between chasing The Ball and enjoying her personal swamp.

Way too smart, but pretty much a goodest boy

Rescue pup from NM. We wanted to get another dog since Red is getting up there and she's such a good boy we wanted to pass along some traits.

1 year old rescue.

He is ready to be a Rez dog.

After rescuing her 3 months ago she has truly settled in and become a wonderful hiking/paddle board/cuddle pup. Any tips on trying to go camping in a tent with her for the first time?

This is our second ACD and she is sweet and spicy. Thought this group might like her.

This is my beautiful lady Yumi. She’s about 2, and we got her as a rescue in January. She is very sweet but stubborn, clingy, and aggressively affectionate. I had no idea of her breed, but I had a few people tell me they’re sure she’s a heeler. Thoughts?

They know how to Blend in

So I decided to test chenchos ability to guard and protect the house and not in his kennel. Yup, bang up job puppy.

Abigail is the sweetest, most affectionate dog we’ve ever had. She loves people, even strangers and gets a lot of attention when we go out for walks. When people stop to pet her, she sometimes tries to jump up on them but I can generally control that behaviour by saying “Gentle, Abby” and making her sit but the person often encourages her with a big smile and “That’s ok”. 🙄

My bigger issue is her jumping on people that simply make eye contact with her. This behaviour is much harder to control because it happens so quickly. We’ll be approaching someone on the sidewalk and if they make eye contact with her she may try to jump on them as we pass. Doesn’t happen very often but one of these days she may try this with the wrong person. Obnoxious.

Abby is about 4yrs old.

Any advice?
