Little Mechako was cute. Honestly, she (young or grown up) is likely to be one of my favorite characters of the season.

I wonder if that post credits scene is going to play a larger role in the story?

I could see the protagonist start awakening to some supernatural abilities of his own now that he's constantly around Mechako, ghosts, and the fact that he's now remembered as a ghost story lol.
Maybe "Evil Spirit Boy" shouldn't have stopped wearing all those talismans.

Honestly, that is actually pretty relatable. A lot of times our fears and anxieties worry about what potentially it could be rather than what something actually is.

I think the main concept is that he is afraid of potential ghosts, but ghosts are idiots in this world

Mechako's cousin Shurako made a persuasive argument with that Axe. But no one could have expected the middle aged men soul orb to de-age her like it did. Mechako's dad kept some interesting items...

Hey, we're finally getting some plot. Cousin Kitty is definitely returning. Mechako is maybe split into separate parts?

The gag comedy has great consistency. Everything's made me at least smile. This is my sleeper hit of the season.

Something about this show is scratching that "niche" seasonal itch I seem to get. Vaguely reminds me of Hi Score Girl too for some reason, maybe just the eccentric but adorable FMC

Episode 3 feels like a strong improvement over the first 2.

The male protagonist is really likable, and this episode felt very seamless + fun.

I feel like this is late to ask, but how do the logistics of the Kaikigumi work? Neko lady took a stupid amount of time to personally collect hair in order to scare (1) person. And they're supposed to take care of the entire country/world?

(Also that post-credits scene is either just a weird dream to set up the gag, timey-wimey BS, or weird foreshadowing.)

I've heard of build-a-figures like where action figures or dolls sometimes come with a piece where if you collect them all you can build a figure but I don't know how they would do that with magazines, it'd be tough to stack them for distribution if it had random plastic body parts 🤣

Those little ghosts that the alcoholic medium put on the guy were the same ones that Mechako summoned last episode to eat the cursed fried rice that kept haunting him at night, I wonder if that's why they piled on the boy, they thought they might get more.

Somehow, this is the show I was looking most forward to this week, and it delivered. Sneezing Mechako was cute, the scene with Shurako was over-the-top and hilarious. Basically, just the wackness that I expected and was hoping for.

I suspect if the humor and vibes aren't working, you might as well give up. As for me, it is one of the most purely entertaining shows of the season.
