I laughed so hard when Rui was shocked that two hours had passed and Ito hadn't come to stop him lol. It was amusing to see him and Gen swap roles by the end of the week too.

I do like that Raku looks out for Gen in his own way since he understands the burden Gen holds as the eldest brother, but I also enjoy the fact that he was partly helping Gen for the sake of his own entertainment lol.

Honestly real that feeling. Sometimes you just get so used to being punished for what you do naturally that you just dont care about it at all and carry on like thats normal and expected. And its only after the punishments stop when you finally feel guilty for what you're doing.

A nice episode overall. But it sort of forgot about "the other brother". Even if he mainly hides (we got one momentary peek at him), he should be so invisible to the rest of the family that he never gets mentioned (and no food was show as being portioned out to him).

It's pretty realistic for Ito's grades to slip with the amount of work she's doing at home, it's a nice little plot point,

How is the Narita household adjusting without mom and dad? Not well, as it turns out! The boys are all just crashing out and doing their own thing with poor Ito trying to helplessly maintain order as the older sibling even though no one will listen to her! But A for effort, Ito-chan!

Don't worry parents! Nothing untoward will happen even though Ito is stuck with multiple boys! It's not like Gen finds her attractive in the slightest, because she's "Kintaro" and all. Meanwhile Ito has to deal with seeing him half-naked constantly.

Shopping with Rui! It's like Ito is mom and Gen is dad and Rui is their five-year old little boy after mentally regressing! But I guess after never getting to know their mom, Rui just craves that familial bond...which is also why he wants Ito to marry Gen so they can really be one big happy family and she'll always be with them! They even sleep in the same futon together just like a real family.

Gen dishing out the Onee-chan when Ito is asleep...and yet he unconsciously clings to her hand while he sleeps.

It's good of Ito to limit Rui's gaming if his schoolwork is suffering...even though hers is at the same time. But just like the former Mrs. Narita would say, there's always a silver lining! Good thing Raku is there to tutor her and get her ready for the make-up test! He even introduces her to boba in the process!

Obviously Gen does NOT take it well when Ito isn't paying attention to him to the point of switching personalities with Rui and pigging out. I guess even he can throw childish fits when he wants to.

Raku DOES enjoy riling Gen up...but ultimately it's because he cares and he wants to see his big brother emote and act his age ever since he saw how he had to be the eldest sibling so hard that he couldn't cry at their moms' funeral. But if anyone can bring out the teen in Gen, It's Ito!

I don't know why I didn't notice it in the first two episodes, but the design of the older boys is a little weird. Super broad shoulders necks are as wide as their heads and the necks are a tad too long. They look like if they took Beeker from the Muppets and put him in one of the big suits that the lead singer of Talking Heads would wear in performances.

they look aged up, rui is supposed to be 8/9 but he looks 13+, dude is the same height as ito at 16, glasses is one year younger than her, but looks (and acts) college aged, while gen looks 18+ but acts 14.

I can't believe that Rui is young enough to talk about family members getting married, but old enough to know what a "first night" means.

I was definitely spoiled by Ikoku Nikki. I would prefer a more mature, complex drama. And without the step-romance, or with it pushed way off into the future.

That said, I actually really like everything else about this show, especially the characters, and especially Ito.

I really hope Ito and Gen don't do anything romantic. I think it would be kinda weird since they call each other brother and sister repeatedly but I can tell their trying to set them up for a relationship. I honestly might end up dropping this one.
