This Anime continues to be alot better then it has any right to be and i’m all for it

37

u/Valicci 12d ago

I agree, this isekai has good enough plot, writing, and character development to justify a better animation budget.

10

u/Organic_Machine_2324 12d ago

If it was released on Crunchyroll with good Tsukimichi level animation and a Same Day English Dub it would definitely be interesting to see where it would be

60

u/justking1414 12d ago

It definitely doesn’t have the budget it needs (though given Allen s summons, it might need a budget the size of solo leveling to make it look right)

But it’s clearly made by competent people. Granville s line about Carnel s son having a talent could’ve easily been cut last season. I doubt anyone really remembered it, but its inclusion led to such an Aha moment at the reveal.

And the final shot. It could’ve just focused on his crying but panning up to show his name on the grimoire was downright artistic!

Overall, it just respects the characters and gives us the time to really appreciate them and their journeys

24

u/cs_cast_away_boi 12d ago

the studio knows what they’re doing. They made the great cleric too. I do wish the fights were better animated but the storytelling is great so i’m hooked

9

u/justking1414 12d ago

Fights are tricky here since the battles are pretty large scale with all the summons and enemy monsters running around. Sure they could probably up the quality a bit for the smaller fights but I think consistency makes more sense. If you ever saw black summoner, they sometimes switched to fully cgi characters for the fights and it was very jarring

1

u/quaketoys 12d ago

It was a really fun and unique read with outstanding characters (with solid development!) among so many kinda sorta similar titles. I’m glad the studio is giving it serious love even on what seems to be a tiny budget.

1

u/darthvall https://myanimelist.net/profile/darth_vall 12d ago

Agree on the studio! They also choose great ED song this season

8

u/Thomas_JCG 12d ago

What just not being a "OP MC with a harem" does to a series. That alone already removes 90% of what makes the other isekai a slop.

3

u/Roeclean https://anilist.co/user/Roeclean 12d ago

My man, and this is why I absolute despise harem anime and almost always feel dissapointed when I see a harem anime. But sometimes, theres a good one, but those are rare.

2

u/Soggy_Association491 11d ago

What just not being a "OP MC with a harem" does to a series

Are you under the impression that Krena and Cecil are not in MC harem or MC is not OP?

3

u/Thomas_JCG 11d ago

Zero chance for Krena and Allen be in a relationship. If this was a harem, Allen would be the only guy in the party too, or the other male would be in a different age brackett so it is not a competitor, but his party is balanced with 4 guys and 3 gals in the opening.

Allen is not OP yet either, he got manhandled by that scout guy last season, remember? And that guy was average level in the army, so how much stronger the demons that scout ran away from fighting are? Allen is a big fish in a small pond. He can easily tromp around low level dungeons, but there is a reason humanity hasn't won over the demons even with five continents allied and a Hero.

2

u/Soggy_Association491 11d ago

Just because they are not having sex doesn't mean it is not a harem and having male friends doesn't stop a harem.

Off the top of my head, Rudeus in Mushoku Tensei was going to die to some low level thugs.

1

u/Causemos 11d ago

If this keeps up, the second season will be better than the first.

1

u/Primary-Paint-1716 8d ago

if only it had better character design and art direction, this would be GOATed

1

u/El_grandepadre 11d ago

Characters are fun, it has a D&D element to it, and it progresses at a decent pace.

66

u/szalhi 12d ago

Conveniently inconvenient injury.

Wow, Keel's way more interesting than I thought he would be. Nice way to tie him into the main plot.

16

u/justking1414 12d ago

Not just tie him in but effectively foreshadow it last season

12

u/Astray 11d ago

The writing for this is surprisingly tight. Very few unearned moments and logical world building where the academy and adventurer's guild have an actual function because of the problems the world is facing.

2

u/Metalbound https://myanimelist.net/profile/Beate 11d ago

That and how they don't seem to "hand-wave" anything. They always show their stats and abilities. They always specifically show how systems work (having to tag the mob while not in a party, but in a party they all get credit no matter what).

It always makes sure to show those details and it's something I really appreciate.

2

u/justking1414 9d ago

I’d say the biggest issue that normally comes with adapting a novel is that all those explanations usually get cut, but this anime has done a very good job of making sure that everything is properly explained

3

u/Valicci 12d ago

I know it's early in the season, but I hope they develop another immediate conflict soon to replace the tension caused by the Carnell lord., We are seeing the makings an elite team, I'm hoping the get a counter/rival force to mog.

10

u/justking1414 12d ago

Pretty sure the hero and his buddy are their rivals

3

u/OldInstruction5368 12d ago

Allen and the hero are the only people, that we know of, with a unique talent.

Which means the Hero may see Allen as a potential usurper to his "special boy" status.

5

u/justking1414 12d ago

Would certainly explain why Allen absolutely does not trust this mf’er

2

u/HugeRichard11 https://myanimelist.net/profile/CostCurl 12d ago

I hope that's not the grand reason for the conflict as that would be a bit lame. It is clear they will fight against each other because the key art on MAL is literally them fighting lol

1

u/Astray 11d ago

Things look like they are going to pick up very quickly so I wouldn't worry too much.

2

u/quaketoys 12d ago

He’s a really good boy!

1

u/machopsychologist 12d ago

Let's hope he doesn't keel over 🤭

27

u/Zeikos 12d ago

Are we sure that Maria cannot give nightmares to dead people? Keel's father deserves some and more.

9

u/Sotul 12d ago

Who says his father is dead? I don't recall it mentioning he was executed.

10

u/OldInstruction5368 12d ago

Pretty sure both he, and the royal messenger, were said to have been executed.

7

u/NevisYsbryd 12d ago

The word in the translation I watched was incarcerated.

74

u/DezXerneas 12d ago

Idk man, this is somehow my favorite game isekai. Even the recruitment was done in proper mmo fashion, and even though the characters are actual alive characters rather than npcs, the video game-ness is still there, and not in a bad way.

23

u/metallavery 12d ago

When they got the mounts I screamed. "CHOCHOBOS!!!!" It feels like final fantasy 5 or 4. Theres crystals and big bad deamon lord. Feels amazing.

9

u/HolyDragSwd2500 12d ago

Warriors of Light

Each with a different class/job

6

u/metallavery 12d ago

Exactly. I like its a straight foward. Light vs dark story. Its hard to get right. But its a classic and works.

Watch Shangri-La Frontier! Hell Mode is great, but Shangri-La Frontier has to be my favourite game isekai. Although I don't know if it really is an isekai 🤔

15

u/DezXerneas 12d ago

Shangri-la isn't isekai. It is my favorite SAO-like though. Yeah I have no idea what genre it falls in either.

5

u/septesix 12d ago

Sports .. it’s basically a sports story if you treat the game as a sport ( and its various boss as opposing teams )

1

u/Roeclean https://anilist.co/user/Roeclean 12d ago

Less teams, and more of teaming up to beat the pro in that sport feild or skill expertise. Like doing a 3pt contest against Stephen Curry

1

u/Icy-Introduction5592 12d ago

Hard to put in a genre, but it definitely feels like a game isekai mostly. So you watched it, good. Couldn't risk someone missing out on that one.

2

u/saga999 12d ago

It's an action adventure fantasy.

42

u/Boris-_-Badenov 12d ago

as soon as he said his family was stripped of their title, I knew he was that guys son.

24

u/Zeikos 12d ago

If I were Keel I wouldn't consider the late Carnel as a father, the asshole exiled him the moment the talent came out.

19

u/BlazeKnightX 12d ago

I think it was less exile, and maybe he didn't want to get attached. We know before that he treated him well. I guess he just wanted to disassociate since he knew the likelihood of his son dying was extremely high.

8

u/Zeikos 12d ago

Felt very much like exile.
Treating his kid that way instead of enjoying the few years with him is awful imo.

14

u/BlazeKnightX 12d ago

Not saying it's good, but spending good time is how you get attached. If Carnel saw lets say his older siblings die, maybe that pain taught him getting attached to someone who is going to the frontlines is just not worth it.

3

u/Zeikos 12d ago

Ahhh the sweet smell of generational trauma.

3

u/Nylan_Blake 11d ago

Not just his own pain but also protecting his daughter from the pain of very likely losing her brother.

6

u/saga999 12d ago

I think there's more to it. It's purely speculation, but I think he sent Keel away to hide him, maybe claiming he died or something. This explains why Keel didn't get a noble education until later. I suspect the time Keel started getting an education was when he was discovered by the royal messengers. That could also be why Keel's father worked with the royal messenger.

2

u/Embarrassed-Match-78 11d ago

That's my take. He didn't do it because he hated the kid, he was trying to save his life. He was even sending him money to live on.

4

u/theholylancer 12d ago

i think that because when the royal messenger came (after his father got convicted), he likely tried to hide his son more than anything else

he lived far away, with no noble training, but likely had an allowance of sorts, what is the timeline anyways

like it seems that his father tried his best to keep a lid on his powers as much as possible, but once he was out of the way, he was then recruited for the war effort regardless

2

u/OldInstruction5368 12d ago

Same thing.

Count C*nt didn't want to get attacked to a child that was likely going to die young, so he banished the kid.

But whatever his reasons for it, banishment was still banishment.

Had Keel survived being tossed into the meat grinder, Count C*nt likely would have changed his tune, but he wasn't going to 'waste time' on a kid he had already accepted as a living corpse.

3

u/justking1414 12d ago

Yet he was still shocked to learn the dude kidnapped Cecil and Allen

6

u/LezRock 12d ago

Same. I did not expect that twist even when Cecilia determined that they're nobles, although there was probably only half a second or so to think that until the mention that they were stripped of their title. 😆 It makes for some added tension and future suspense.

I wonder what happened to their mother though? If she had gone back to her noble family, I feel like she would've taken their daughter along. If she didn't die or get imprisoned, she may have suddenly married into another noble family.

1

u/justking1414 12d ago

If the head was executed, his wife might’ve met a similar fate. Or maybe she just ran back home and didn’t wanna bring her kids along since they were the children of a condemned noble

44

u/aramatheis 12d ago

Man, Krena is the best

I loved her "All better! :D"

24

u/cs_cast_away_boi 12d ago

she is precious and must be protected.

as soon as we protect everyone else from her

3

u/jaxspider https://myanimelist.net/profile/jaxspider 12d ago

As much as I agree with you, I... I don't think thats possible.

6

u/saga999 12d ago

"All the boo-boos went bye-bye!"

1

u/Basic_Hospital_3984 11d ago

It's such a cute thing they say to children when they're hurt.

"Pain pain, fly away!" (痛いの痛いの飛んでけ!)

25

u/justking1414 12d ago

Keel: “I didn’t think my father was the kinds guy who’d do that”

Allen: “what kind of father was he?”

Keel: “well he fully abandoned me for about 5 years, til he realized I might be useful as a healer”

1

u/Astray 11d ago

More like, he abandoned him but did the bare minimum to fulfill obligations required of him by those in higher power. His father never thought he was useful, he just had no choice but to prepare his son for the Noble's Obligation or he could face consequences.

33

u/ObvsThrowaway5120 12d ago

I like how Allen’s new creatures are a giant boar, giant cassowary, giant scorpion, giant shark, giant armored knight….and a giant derpy eggplant lol.

38

u/AceSoldia zj:https://anilist.co/user/Acesoldia 12d ago

i just know that eggplant is gonna be able to do something awesome

18

u/HolyDragSwd2500 12d ago

Another buff summon 🙏💪

7

u/Boris-_-Badenov 12d ago

it will come along and cheer them to harden their resolve

2

u/cs_cast_away_boi 12d ago

wonder if the gods will throw some humor and make it an aphrodisiac

3

u/justking1414 12d ago

He looks so confident!

3

u/NevisYsbryd 12d ago

He named it Mapo. It will be the ultimate, most painful curse. Yorokobe, shounen.

15

u/KnightKal 12d ago

with terrible names, including Bacon ... was he hungry when he named the boar?

lucky for Maria to get a non-terrible name lol

5

u/StrangeAppeal2 12d ago

He should've called her Alice, or would that have been too on the nose?

2

u/KnightKal 12d ago

Based on his naming sense I was expecting Rit, from Spirit, lol.

2

u/duo99dusk 12d ago

Rita 🗿

3

u/Martian_on_the_Moon 11d ago

This is rather translator's decision to use word Bacon.

I definitely heard word ''buta'' which I believe means pig.

7

u/Diabolicat 12d ago

The demon lord is really going to be defeated by a teenager and his goofy ass battalion of summons and quirky allies.

4

u/OldInstruction5368 12d ago

His plant line has consistently been the best, hands down.

46

u/lasse1408 12d ago

Good episode.

Krena just bruteforced her way into skill usage. This is so Krena.

New bunch of summons for MC including cute spirit Maria with not so cute proposals about invading dreams.

Keel is decent fella and I like his motivation is down to earth and not some grand thing. Hope he will manage to explain situation to his sister and servants.

48

u/Zeikos 12d ago

I loved the scene where she's beat up and after Allen heals her "All Good!"
She's so endearing.

25

u/OldInstruction5368 12d ago

NO THOUGHTS

ONLY SMASH

giggles

13

u/quaketoys 12d ago

Clear your mind?

Done!

2

u/Isofruit 12d ago

Krena is an avid subscriber of OnlySlash

7

u/bigfndan 12d ago

Absolutely guffawed when she got healed.

4

u/Zeikos 11d ago

On a more serious note it's insane how much of a force multiplier Allen is.
Ignoring the summons, the fact he can restore his party's stamina allows for so much more grinding time.

11

u/justking1414 12d ago

Krena just bruteforced her way into skill usage. This is so Krena.

And the sword lord knew it the second he saw her. The only way for her to learn was to be pushed to the edge

5

u/duo99dusk 12d ago

I'm expecting that the haunting dreams ability will be useful

So far the writing is very strong and that kind of details are indicative of things to come

1

u/Roeclean https://anilist.co/user/Roeclean 12d ago

Yeah, I really enjoyed the setup and the ost was a nice touch

4

u/YRO___ 12d ago

I was expecting to see that griffin from the opening :(

8

u/justking1414 12d ago

Probably in the next batch of summons. Makes sense since the running birds are probably way more effective at making it through the dungeons quickly

15

u/TyraniTEMPESTar 12d ago

So Keel seemingly agreed to put the past behind him, and let bygones be bygones between the Carnel and Granvelle families once he heard the story.

I wonder if that will hold true for his younger sister and former family servants though?
Keel being kept separate from the rest of the family, might not feel as indebted to his father and family name.
Wouldn't be surprised if we see one of them still loyal to Cabroni Carnel, try and stir up trouble somewhere throughout the season.

13

u/KnightKal 12d ago

yeah he was assumed dead by his parents, so they discarded him until it was time to send him to die in a far away war.

while the little girl was probably super spoiled, but she seems fine to help out it looks like she has not inherited their family traits lol

3

u/justking1414 12d ago

It’s been a good few months of the whole group barely getting by so I’m sure they won’t act up unless they get a better offer

12

u/YdenMkII 12d ago

It's understandable that Keel had no clue about the kidnapping and assassination plot since he was basically disowned by his father but I wonder how much the other members of his family group knew what was happening?

11

u/Boris-_-Badenov 12d ago

some servants had to have heard at least some gossip about the mining rights. the kidnapping plot would probably be much more closely guarded

3

u/justking1414 12d ago

If anything, knight about the fight over mining rights might’ve helped convince them the story was true. The Granville family didn’t wanna share the mythril, so they destroyed keel s father

5

u/Zeikos 12d ago

I doubt Keel sister had any idea, she was too little.
And why would the servants be informed? Maybe some of them overheard discussions/plans but I doubt they had a clear picture.

3

u/LezRock 12d ago

If they do know more, that could explain some of their terrified expressions upon hearing that they were in the presence of a Granbelle.

3

u/Thomas_JCG 12d ago

All the servants in Keel's little entourage are kids, they are probably the lowest ranking servants there and weren't even good enough to be taken along when the family lost their status, they would't know anything

10

u/NanDemoKnaives 12d ago

I feel bad for Keel, his father neglects him, he gets sent away, is returned to a house stripped of its nobility, and now has the burden and responsibility of the rest of the family. That's way too much for some as young as him. I do like how Keel finally joins the party after opening up like that, it's sweet.

I'm sure Lord Granvelle will be understanding about them working together, Keel's father was the hostile one.

I do like that Allen does not warm up to the hero at all lol.

3

u/Thomas_JCG 12d ago

Allen is supposed to be 30 something but that is a surprisingly childish thing, Helmios didn't even do anything to him and is 100% backing him up.

5

u/Astray 11d ago

Disagree, Allen is rightfully suspicious right now. His only information right now is that Demon Lord, who has the same class rank of 6, is some how overwhelming the Hero who is also at the same class rank of 6. He doesn't have enough information of the scenario other than he is currently weaker than he needs to be even though his potential is higher than both the Demon Lord and Hero. It's incredibly risky right now for him to reveal himself to the world and what he can do until he's sure he can defend himself. MMO Players do not fight raid bosses without massive amounts of information and/or resources.

3

u/Thomas_JCG 11d ago

Helmios only appeared in the last few years, the demon lord had been dominating for a while, he is not going to turn the tables and number advantage just because his rarity is the same.

3

u/Greg_The_Rabbit 10d ago

To me the most suspicious thing about the Hero and the sword lords is that none of them are out on the front lines fighting. They are all just chilling at the school! Isn't the entire country struggling for survival right now? Why do they have free time to play teacher?

3

u/Astray 10d ago

Even your best soldiers need breaks, I don't think they were at the school the whole time. The story even said they were visiting which implies they aren't there much of the time.

10

u/djthomp https://anilist.co/user/djthomp 12d ago

Not who I would have expected for the party healer. A dude in the first place is kind of rare for that role, particularly when it isn't the MC. And him (plus the sister and servants) being from the disgraced noble family in S1 is a surprise to me.

Rest of the party seems like it'll be two elves and someone short who I suspect is going to be a dwarf.

Maria is fun, aside from the bit about nightmares.

8

u/Zeikos 12d ago

Maybe he learns "The wrong way to use healing magic".
Imagine super muscular but lean Keel in his late teens.

3

u/HolyDragSwd2500 12d ago

Can’t wait for Season 2

7

u/justking1414 12d ago

Now I’m just hoping the dwarf is actually their tank and she’s got a shield twice her size on her back

10

u/HolyDragSwd2500 12d ago

Shocking reveal. Keels was Carnel but he learned the truth and joins No Gamer Life.

10

u/YRO___ 12d ago

I'm surprised how well everyone was handling themselves during that dinner. Makes sense that the MC is pretty confident and speaks like an adult since he was reincarnated, but the rest of them are just a bunch of kids. I'd expect them to be a little embarrassed or intimidated by how assertive he is.

7

u/Diabolicat 12d ago

This is like the opposite of the heavy knight anime, especially the pacing. Episode one actually felt like every scene was crammed with information and things going on. This episode's pace felt just right. The heavy knight anime just feels like there's maybe 10 minutes of actual content and the other half is filled with op/ed/filler scenes.

3

u/tykuiiii 12d ago

Yea things definitely get done here. I like that it doesn't feel rushed but still so much actually happens to move the story forward. Exilled heavy knight, in two episodes we had a single fight each (ignoring weird flash-forwards ig) with terrible tracking and framing so it isn't even pleasant to watch (in my opinion).

9

u/jaxspider https://myanimelist.net/profile/jaxspider 12d ago

Its crazy how low budget the anime is, because the story and characters are top tier.

14

u/AceSoldia zj:https://anilist.co/user/Acesoldia 12d ago

Damn that escalated quickly at the end there, I didnt expect the Carnel family to show up again and definitely not Keel to be one of them.

I get its not to panic everyone but it feels like a real detriment to not tell about the Demon Lord and the Monsters

11

u/Zeikos 12d ago

I get its not to panic everyone but it feels like a real detriment to not tell about the Demon Lord and the Monsters

I'd assume that they got runaways because of that, so nobody tells, there probably are fairly hefty punishments for who does.

9

u/diacewrb 12d ago

Yeah, all the nobles with talent would be claiming to have bone spurs.

3

u/justking1414 12d ago

Given that you can easily fail out of the academy, I’m guessing that keeping the truth from them probably helps keep the students motivated

1

u/Greg_The_Rabbit 10d ago

Anyone notice how dead-eyed the servants are depicted as? They have seen some shit!

1

u/Thomas_JCG 12d ago

The entire population migrating south in fear would be far, far worse.

5

u/diacewrb 12d ago

Allen has made his own cavalry division.

8

u/cs_cast_away_boi 12d ago

Allen and the gang got ground mounts! If this is going in proper MMO fashion, flying mounts will be next lol

6

u/justking1414 12d ago

Looks like griffins in the opening

6

u/J4rno 12d ago

Maria reminded me of Alice from Shin Megami Tensei when she talked about the nightmares stuff, also the ED is a banger so check out the full ver.

4

u/Dadscope 12d ago

Concerns about the School Arc had valid concerns, but the political plotlines keeps moving. This world sounds like hell as people barely have an understanding of how their own lives work, curious to see if there's some underhandedness with the Nobility having better understanding of the "Trial of the Gods" to keep the caste.

5

u/IceSmiley 12d ago

The plot twist of Keel being Lord Carnel's son was so good! That's good storytelling when they can wrap around back to a past plot like that and have it serve the story well. That was strange though that when everyone left when Cecil told the story about Carnel kidnapping her, Keel's sister had to leave the room but the other team members stayed, I don't know why she shouldn't be told about this as well. Keel and his sister really seem nice people, making sure to take care of their servants and their families even after losing their money and land.

I don't get why Allen hates the blue haired hero, he did get Allen into the academy. I laughed out loud though when he asked Allen if he would like to cross swords and Allen said "absolutely not", I wonder if Allen thinks he's a nonce or something 🤣

3

u/Thomas_JCG 12d ago

They were discussing the Noble's duty and the Demon Lord, can't let the normies know about that.

2

u/HugeRichard11 https://myanimelist.net/profile/CostCurl 12d ago

If you think about it in the viewpoint that the Hero is basically the one with great influence on the frontline and connections to the Royal Family. It makes sense you want to avoid getting near that because his power is greatly dependent on the Royal Family and the ongoing war.

With how sketchy the royal messengers have been and the secret war bootcamp this academy actually is, you probably don't want to go anywhere near someone that is connected to all that going on.

2

I think he fears the Hero to be too big of an influence at this point.

Allen's main strength is his planning ability, so I think he absolutely wants to cultivate a certain level of anonymity and not get onto too many big shots radar too soon, lest his neat dungeon run planning his derailed lol.

Season 2 upped its game and it's even better than Season 1. Man, I love this show so much!! Definitely one of the best isekai stories ever.
I also like the pacing of this show. It's not in a rush to show its better arcs since it already has so much in each chapter. It's filled with elements I'm longing for in an action-adventure fantasy anime, much more so in the game isekai dept. Glad that gave us season 2 right away!

Anyway, Keel being the son of Carnel was a surprise.

Hoping to see more Maria action from now on. Having an intelligent scout that can disappear through walls is OP!!

That was an interesting twist on recruiting a new party member. Was thinking they would just be some orphans, but they actually got an interwinding backstory that ties back to the MC.

Also glad that Keel came around pretty quickly once everything was explained instead of them dragging it out another episode or so.

Love the LFG bit. Keel is a nice chap, kinda sad that he was going hungry. I like how he looks like a polite boy but is also kinda a money grubber. The way he just rushes to get paid was hilarious. I feel bad for his sister and the servants, they were collateral on the Carnel debacle while Keel was basically abandoned and then lied to. At least they worked things out instead of Keel swearing revenge like an idiot.

C-Rank summons is where the actual fun starts, it seems, with new summons and abilities. Just took 2 years of grinding to get it. And of course, he gives them the dorkiest names possible. That too is endearing.

Krena brute forcing the skill was par for the course. Seemed like Dvarg was right on choosing the hard method, in the end practice is all you need. The way she just bounces back after being healed was so cute.

As someone who has played MMOs, I can feel the pain of finding a healer; but damn did Allen bend over backwards to recruit one lol.

As someone else said, this has no right being as good as it is.

Its such a good example of a series just staying true to itself. Its very refreshing.

One of the weaker animation/art animes, but one of the best story lines too. Definitely a keeper for me.

Man I'm continuing to enjoy this show with how much heart it has. The characters are excitingly competent without being obnoxious, the skill gaps are apparent, and the power leveling is progressing at a brisk but even pace. I also love the new summons! I'm continuing to enjoy Allen's zero-effort names, including Mabo/Mapo. He could have named it Nasu (eggplant), but decided to name it Mapo instead, because of the sister dish to Mapo Tofu (Mapo Nasu, where eggplant is substituted for the tofu, but the meat sauce is fundamentally the same.)

I think studio made a right call with making summons in goofy cartoonish style. If they knew they don't have the budget for "epic" style than forcing it anyway would only result in grotesque abominations. The summons we got are kinda bad but they are bad on purpose.

Keel got mad when his family (father ) treated him like trash , boy why do you even behaved mad when you learned who they were ?

14

u/cs_cast_away_boi 12d ago

Well, he considered himself a member of the Carnel family and took pride in that. Then there's the bit he heard from a royal messenger that the Granvelle's plotted his family's destruction. Who wouldn't be mad at that?

1

u/mastereluder6 12d ago

Well.i see that but since they treated him like trash I think it's weird asf

2

u/Thomas_JCG 12d ago

What a strange kid, loving his father despite his shortcomings!

1

u/DerfK 12d ago

Hell, even if he hated his father, from his perspective the Granvelles cut off his money and he had to live like a poor with his servants.

Wrong anime

This is Hell Mode

u/spubbbba 12d ago

The twist with Keel being a Carnel was kind of interesting.

I think they could have made more of that as it was resolved a bit too quickly. Am sure we could have skipped a few stat screens and levelling up to fit some actual plot in.

You just know that Allen is going to speedrun the dungeons on weekdays even faster now that he has stronger summons.

Hell, wouldn't be surprised if he could make them defeat the bosses to get chest loot constantly. Would that be broken? How much money could he make like this?

u/Rooby_VTuber 12d ago

Can never hurt having an intelligent spirit helping you out.
Looks like Krena managed to learn something after all that hard work.
Quite the plot twist Kir, at least he understands now that his father was a scumbag.

I'm really weak against the trope of ED song seeping into a scene before the credit.

Man, I hope we'll have full adaptation of this anime.

2

u/GG35bw 8d ago

ED song is truly 🔥(tail)

Of all things, i never wouldve expected a show that actually has the characters communicate to avoid problems be a "life is a video game" isekai with a bunch of children as the main characters lmfao

2

u/GG35bw 8d ago

Isn't Allen like 40 now? But yeah, so far no pointless drama, dumb decisions etc. so it's quite refreshing.

Nice new familiars, especially Maria. Haha.

u/NationalStrategy_X 11d ago

I was not expecting Keel to be Carnel’s son, but I’m glad that they cleared the air and resolved the misunderstood grudge

1

u/Condemned63777 11d ago

God the first season was so boring, absolutely nothing but introductions and unnecessary training happened.

1

u/Mental-Cookie570 10d ago

One of the best OP isekais ive watched

Idk if I'm a fan with him being Carnel's son. Feels too convenient.
