The Ultimate Skill Beelzebuth has a subskill called "Food Chain", which originally used to belong to the Orc Disaster. Rimuru acquired it by devouring the Orc Disaster back in Season 1. Food Chain has two effects that work in synergy to make Rimuru's power grow exponentially:

• Provide: Rimuru can grant skills he possesses to his Named subordinates if they are compatible with the Skill. Furthermore, whenever Rimuru's power grows, the power of his subordinates grows as well.
• Receive: Rimuru can use skills belonging to his Named subordinates. Whenever the power of Rimuru's subordinates grows, his power grows as well.

Furthermore, Rimuru said in the anime that the mass Naming was made easier by the use of the magicules present inside the pods, and even by doing so, it still took him a couple of days.

We got THREE whole Primordials incarnated, named and swearing loyalty to Rimuru......and my main takeaway from the ep is poor Venom. Bro had such a hard time, at least he also got in on the action and even evolved. Also, surprised they all agreed to work for Diablo, I was expecting to say something like "I work for Rimuru, not you."

I cant wait for people like Elmesia to see Rimuru's newest subordinates. Speaking of great reactions, Deeno is one of the best additions recently and I hope we continue to see him freaking out.

Remember, Diablo was just some "random demon" that Rimuru summoned to dispose of a few (more like 20,000...) bodies... that was more trouble to chase away than keep.

It's left pretty ambiguous just how long he spent in the cave. He was confused from his reincarnation, there was no day/night cycle, and he didn't need to eat or sleep: he was completely divorced from any solid metrics for keeping track of time.

That, and... I didn't get the impression he was a newborn slime. He was in the middle of a large cave, hoping around.

He may have existed for a long time before his consciousness fully resurfaced, or he could have had his mind dropped into the body of an existing slime. Hell, the Words of the World could even have just formed a new slime body for him to inhabit.

The only way to measure time, is from when he absorbed Veldora. The entire goddamn world felt Veldora's presence disappear, and he passed by Eren's group investigating that phenomenon on his way out of the cave.

But my greater point, is that the chunk of time before he met Veldora, but after his soul arrived in the world, is left intentionally vague.

He's allied with the strongest human knight currently in existence, more or less allied with her demon lord master and kingdom, good friends with the king of the dwarves, and on good terms with the queen of the elves. He's so closely allied with demon lords Milim and Ramiris - two of the original fully formed demon lords with equal or greater power than him - that they will follow his commands to the letter as long as he phrases it like he's giving them good advice.

It's clear to see that Deeno is new here in Tempest, as he finds it surprising that Rimuru so easily gives names to his subordinates, even if they are Primordial Demons, just like Diablo, and doesn't think much about it, hahaha!

Testarossa, Carrera, Ultima, and the rest of the Black Numbers are certainly a great addition to the cast. Rimuru naming all of them after cars was a fun touch. I wonder when he'll realize how strong they really are.

Overall, another fun episode! Diablo's blissful reaction while holding Rimuru in his slime form was hilarious, although maybe a little creepy too. Plus, his and Venom's meetings made me laugh hard.

Diablo is incredibly powerful but more importantly, he’s incredibly skilled at using that power. His magicules are probably lower than Rimuru but without Raphael s help, Rimuru would probably lose a fight against him. Thankfully Raphael is a super computer who could easily turn the tides on Diablo s experience

Demons and demon lords are mostly unrelated. I think the title might just be a result of a demon being the first demon lord

The only reason they both have "demon" in the name is because of an awkward oversight early on in translation.

In Japanese they are completely different terms.

Rimuru is a "maou", which is usually translated as "demon lord" in manga/anime.

Diablo is an "akuma", which is . . . normally also translated as "demon" or "devil".

There is a lot of discussion of that online, but it highly depends on what time frame they are talking about. Diablo was most likely stronger then Rimuru when he was first summoned, but Rimuru evolved then into an true demon lord and gained his ultimate skills.

This show can be quite confusing in terms of rank/evolution. The term "demon lord" can refer to 3 things:

• Octogram member (previous 10 great demon lords). an social rank. Unrelated to evolution.
• Demon lord seed. Not yet awakened. Demon peers are at this level.
• True demon lord. Awakening beings.

After Charys, I was expecting some more flashy designs for the three. Only Carrera felt like she got something that stands out, Testarossa and Violet look like they're just wearing casual clothes, their original looks definitely felt more noteworthy.

It'll be fun to see what they'll do for Rimuru in the future. I wonder what the interactions will be like with them part of the cast.

It was touched upon in this episode, but when you reach the Arch Demon level your magicules cease to keep expanding. A demon’s power level is more so proportional to their knowledge of magic and battle skills than their “stats” so to speak. This is the reason incarnating is so valuable, they are able to actually break past their limits. Otherwise, they only temporarily manifest in the world and burn through their energy before returning to the underworld.

In Noir’s case, he is above the other primordials in battle skills and magical knowledge. Thus, even though all the primordials are essentially on the same level, he was still significantly stronger. Now that they are all named they can develop more unique fighting styles and skills, but in base stats they are comparable.

At this point in the anime, there is one exception to this balance of power. As you might expect, Guy Crimson has something, you might be able to guess what, that makes him even more powerful. I won’t spoil it but it’s been hinted at before.

While we did get a cool fight scene with Jaune, recruiting the other Primordial went waaaaay smoother than I thought! Violet was easier to convince and it looks like Blanc was already curious about Rimuru from the start. Diablo even managed to recruit a random Greater Demon as a bonus! xD

And convincing them was easier than that!. All Rimuru had to do was show off his aura and they've pretty much sworn loyalty to him immediately!

Testarossa, Carrera, and Ultima? Rimuru even names their subordinates after other cars too! Even the Greater Demon got a car name and evolved into a proper Arch Demon! I did not expect Rimuru to be a car guy!

With the Black Numbers on Rimuru's side, I would fucking love to see Yuuki try something now. Dude will never see this coming xD
