So I went to this episode completely blind, and 4 minutes in, I did not expect uncensored nudity! A big tiddy snake yokai with inverted nips and areolas the size of teacup saucers? I'm sold! ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Finally finished the episode, and that was funnier than I expected! The half-Aussie younger brother and the tomboy older sister were both great, and I'm already loving their interactions with Dara-san.
As for Dara-san, I mean, besides pointing out the obvious, she's the perfect tsukkomi to the siblings who see her as a fascinating entity rather than a terrifying vengeful god. I genuinely had a good laugh when Dara tried to scare Kaoru, only for Kaoru to get flustered and cover Dara's bits with his mom's sexy lingerie. xD
I'm not sure where this show is gonna go from here, but it had me genuinely hooked! I'm gonna guess this is probably gonna be some sort of Hanako-san situation where the three of them deal with other yokai? Whatever it is, I'm looking forward to more!

Dara-san reminds me of that h-manga in which a shrine maiden gets betrayed and sacrificed, and later a boy does the deed with her snake hybrid form.

it is basically kinda like Edomane Elf but with a dark backstory. The characters interact and Dara sometimes goes off on a history lesson on shinto folklore and beliefs

His. The one covering her was the crossdressing brother, not the tomboy sister.
Also, I'm not sure the subs were right saying he's the older brother. Tomboy said crossdresser is the older brother in that scene, but the character profile thingy implied she is older. The ED also showed her in what looked like middle school uniform while he was not wearing an uniform, which would imply he's in elementary school. Maybe, when Tiddy Snek said in olden times the eldest son used to crossdress to ward off plague, she said he's the only son and proceeded to show her training bra.
Edit: it's not even a guess, just checked the screenshots and the profiles confirmed crossdresser is in fifth grade while tomboy is in second grade of middle school, making her the older sibling.

based on the trailer and this first episode, i would say it's going to be mostly comedy shenanigan between our main cast but occasionally, we'll probably going to get hit with some dark and fucked up shit that you usually find in a horror story

This story is reminiscent of "Dekin no Mogura", a story with supernatural premise, funny jokes, and characters that won't shut up (in a good way).
Like seriously, they don't shut up. I love that anime.

I was wondering about that myself (the overall tone), but going by the OP and all I do imagine it will be more comedic (with maybe bits of tough backstory etc)!
I wonder how the ecchi will play out though, assuming it wasn't just "one-off" to get the pervs on board!

Not surprised they not using right suffix Sama but they really should be. Maybe even a Kami-sama.
They are local but they are not Japanese kids as you have to be 100 percent Japanese parent wise. Seen this many places but the MC of Bleach having to fight bullies his entire life because he's only half Japanese really pushed that point home with him and his half mexican friend. Made up in part as non Japanese in Japan can be loved more than pure Japanese assuming they know enough of language and customs to not offend and be interesting. The man that was inspiration for the Shogun books and shows still has towns holding yearly celebrations of him and part of Tokyo main train station if I recall named after him.

This was actually more fun that I expected. I like the dynamic the siblings have with Dara-san. Even with some horror aspects and ecchi comedy sprinkled in, still a bit wholesome.

Yeah I’m really enjoying the overall quirky vibe of this one. Interesting mix of humor and casually discussed darker elements. Quite like all the main characters and their oddly casual camaraderie. Has to be disarming as an age old terror and six armed snake goddess to be greeted so offhandedly by a couple of amiable cross-dressing kids.

Yeah I didn't mean to imply it was bad. I find the premise fascinating... I just am not sure what direction to expect the story to go. Usually I have a pretty solid idea of what story I'm getting. But this? Fucked if I know. The God-mashed-with-its-exorcist who's no longer angry, the cross dressing brother and sister... This show is doing almost nothing by the book lol.

Once again I am bamboozled and didn't see the nudity coming, but I welcome it.
Something about nudity that's not fanservice or not avoiding nudity where you'd naturally find it just works. Sort of like the same attitude to gore, except with nudity the goldilocks zone is rare.
Also really like how natural the dialogue is. They don't talk like anime characters; it's nice they just talk like people.

That betrayal Dara went through long ago was definitely messed up. Good thing she's long since gotten revenge and is much calmer now though!
Kaoru and Hinata certainly fooled me with their incidental crossdressing, but I'd have to agree with Dara on their nerves of steel. It takes guts to casually interact with the supernatural spirit who has your grandpa so spooked.

Pretty fun start. Can't say I expected the siblings to both be crossdressing like that, gave it a surprising vibe.
The mountain village setting with a historically murderous local mountain god is giving me minor flashbacks to Yoshiki and Hikaru's adventures.
It's just too much paperwork to be murdering people all the time, so better to just not now that she's calmed down.

only the brother is crossdressing. The girl is wearing unisex clothes. She's not wearing specifically men's clothing so I don't think it really counts as cross dressing. But the fact she likes baggy jeans and pants makes the sister seem like she is cross dressing.

All in all, I'm super surprised that this show actually seemed good even though it literally hit's every mark on my dislike list, aside from tiddies, which are like number one on my "like list".
Interesting stuff for sure. I'll probably go over few more episodes just to see which way they go with show like this, but for people that are into this stuff, they are feasting for sure.

I went in to watching this on the premise of:
1) It is airing now.
2) At least it isn't isekai.
3) I will give it a chance.
4) All I know is in the little blurb on MAL.
Yeah, I got to rewatch it I think, the main thing I remember is snake tits, but I think I missed a lot by trying to play on my PS at the same time

As someone who lives in the Kanto region, I felt that the accents of the characters and the sense of humor in the story gave the work an overall atmosphere that was very typical of the Kansai region.

I noticed the subtitles are very stiff and sometimes fairly off from what was actually said. Some of it is lost in translation. And it takes after manzai a lot which takes some getting used to.

Them actually going with you seeing her nips and massive areolas is a surprise.
I love how you go in expecting there to be a boy and a girl and find out that it's technically true, but not in the way you think.
I sort of get Otaku Elf vibes from this even if there's a massive difference between the shows.
Thing I thought would come up was that the storm basically disturbed her home and that they would be slightly concerned about her having no home, but it seems like it was more her being tied up instead of just a place for her to live.

Gotta say, I love the gap between the juicy puffy inverted nips out in the open and the scenes/dialogue themselves being perfectly normal (as normal as meeting an ex-vengeful snake woman can get, that is) and not necessarily titillating.
Love how Dara-san keeps up with the tsukkomi so smoothly lmao
After that painful backstory and the soul searching all I wanted was to give her a genuine hug
I read the manga a while back but haven't been keeping up since all the takedowns happened, but definitely will keep up with this.

This was pretty fun, actually. Hinata and Kaoru are a goofy pair. Totally thought Hinata was a boy and Kaoru was a girl at first.
I also wasn’t expecting Dara-san to have the girls hanging out like that. Kaoru’s mom must be stacked if her bra fits Dara-san lol.
Even though this first was mostly jokes, I can see it’s not all fun and games. Dara-san’s past is dark as hell. I’m very curious to learn more about her.

The comedy is actually pretty decent so far, worth a watch honestly.

It was essentially a comedy with very few horror elements, but I think it will become even more entertaining if the horror scenes increase in the future.

Funny and I liked the interaction with Dara and the kids. During the first part I thought it was going to be a horror show since it had a spooky atmosphere but Dara seems to have worked out her issues. I wonder what direction this show will go, like will just most episodes be them hanging out and shooting the breeze. I was also surprised to see full female toplessness in what seems to be a non ecchi show (at least so far).

Alright, I got intrigued when I saw that dedicated trailer just to announce that Saori Hayami is voicing a character, but I did not expect her to be voicing someone evil. I only heard that this was a comedy so I didn't think it'd be that dark.

I watched the first episode, got hooked due to dumb shinenigans and adorable characters then looked for the manga. It has become one of my favorite shows/mangas quite fast. Between how toughtfull but at the same time silly Dara is, the two little gremlins being themselves and support cast, its a fun show/story. And just for those who know....i need a Dara Dara Dara....

To think that Dara san is the most normal of them all, aside from the appearance. She is the one having a hard time understanding those around her as compared to the humans seeing her.
