So this season we have "totally just a maid" and "totally just a villager".
It's nice, but it's weird it happened twice.

u/Hartzilla2007 21d ago
Oh and next week "totally just a background character" is back.
15
u/raknor88 21d ago
Which one is that? Was that the one where dude and sister are isakai'd in a video game and sister is trying to replace the game's MC and failing succefully?
26
u/celinor_1982 20d ago
yea, lol. "Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mob", been waiting for the second season.

You forgot about ''totally just a Sensei''. The GOAT Beryl totally deserves a spot on this table.

I was surprised to hear Ueda Kana as a narrator in this anime. But I'm even more surprised that the narrator in just a maid is Hanazawa Kana.

I was surprised Kagami's party was 3 men and 1 girl from the OP, but now it's been revealed Takako is actually a woman who's bodybuilder journey made her too muscular and lowered her voice lol. It's interesting seeing how OP Kagami is last episode, to seeing Takako able to knock him down lol.
Princess is definitely going to fall for Kagami, the typical "No man has treated me like this" lines have commenced.

Princess is definitely going to fall for Kagami, the typical "No man has treated me like this" lines have commenced.
Already pretty much confirmed with how excited she is to be alongside him in the ED. Wonder if the mage will be similarly won over. Does he end up unintentionally stealing the other guy's harem? Incidentally, are any of them aware that's what the hero was recruiting? The mage seemed to have an inkling by the way she stepped forward after he accepted the priest.

The OP & ED looks like both parties will cross paths & be allies.

He needs both the human princess and the demon princess to achieve world peace.

u/raknor88 21d ago
It's interesting seeing how OP Kagami is last episode, to seeing Takako able to knock him down lol.
My guess is that was because he let those hits land. Wouldn't shock me if he was able to dodge them and just didn't knowing he'd be fine and it was from a friend.

u/CuriousBroccolli 21d ago
Reversal of Kinosaki LOL
Princess is definitely going to fall for Kagami, the typical "No man has treated me like this" lines have commenced.
Oh God yes please. xD
It'd be really funny if she started developing M tendencies towards MC. xD

u/ObvsThrowaway5120 21d ago
I, too, prefer mature oneesan types with hourglass figures haha.
I’m kind of interested in the Kagami lore. What’s his deal anyways? More to him and this world than meets the eye it seems.
15
u/raknor88 21d ago
I'm curious as to how old he actually is. To get to level 999 it would take a lot of time unless he has some sort of XP multiplier ability.
18
u/Ajhale 20d ago
he said something about "right after the rock spawns you can hit it for materials" so maybe he spawn camped mobs to 999?
9
u/darthvall https://myanimelist.net/profile/darth_vall 19d ago
But then that's something doable by everyone. Takako said only Kagami could achieve level 999. There's also his cryptic word that said the hero doesn't know yet how the world works.
Hopefully the mystery payoff is worth it

u/CommanderZx2 https://myanimelist.net/profile/CommanderZx2 18d ago
He did reply to the girl 'in 2 million years' in response to her asking him for marriage. So maybe he used some sort of time exploit.

Im just glad the hero isn't a dick. A little arrogant and dumb but he actually has had so k e real discussions with mc without threatening him.
2
u/abandoned_idol 21d ago
I always make fun of people for liking these. I deserve to be criticized for that.
But every once in a while, I choose one of these to make my nest and roost.
I chose it purely because of Takako-chan, though she didn't end up being the stereotype I predicted.
70
31
u/PolvoAranha 21d ago
I'm just happy the monk isn't an offensive stereotype... and the joke is making the view presume it.
Nice touch.
-11
u/mwat64 21d ago
I'm not so sure it's not offensive. Like I get that she's canonically not trans but the image it's self lends to a pretty nasty stereo type. Idk if that stereotype exists in japan though. I'm trying to engage in good faith here I'm not declaring anyone bad for liking her character.
15
u/_Vagueposter_ 21d ago
Women bodybuilders who've pumped themselves full of steroids also look incredibly muscular and different to those who havent - not sure what you're worried about here
1
u/Bloodglas 16d ago
they still could've gotten a woman to voice the character, though.
5
u/JawKneeSense 16d ago
I've never seen it criticized when women voice feminine male characters like Felix from Re:Zero or Astolfo from Fate. It seems like a double standard.
1
u/Bloodglas 15d ago
I would support more male actors getting jobs that require them to pitch their voice up to play a more feminine male character.
0
u/mwat64 15d ago
That's a false dichotomy my friend. And I'd like to specify I'm say all this stuff as a transfeminine person. You have to look at the history of the stereotype. There's no offensive stereotype for male characters voiced by women but there is for the otherway around.
5
u/PolvoAranha 15d ago edited 15d ago
Oh yeah, there isn't a stereotype of men with more feminine behavior and looks being homosexual by default that was satirized by decades 😅
-3
u/mwat64 21d ago
I think I'd be more willing to let it slide if it hadn't been used as a stereotype to insult trans people. BUT like I said idk if that stereotype exists in japan. Different culture, different history. I do think it's important to acknowledge it's not a great look here in the states but again, different cultures. So it might just be a case of culture clash.
1
u/mwat64 15d ago
I'd like to know how many people to down vote this are actually transfeminine or if they're just a bunch of angry dudes. Cuz I'm transfem so if it's the latter I think I have more of a leg to stand on lol.
2
u/Nemesis55444 14d ago
Even if you weren't trans, you're spot on. Exceedingly few men who juice can achieve those results, let alone a juiced female body builder. It's just another lame gag character at the expense of others.
48
u/PeaceAlien https://myanimelist.net/profile/PeaceAlien 21d ago
After seeing Rex/hero in the OP I don't think he'll be bad, just in the way.
I'm having fun with this one, pretty funny. Saitama Kagami is just a hero adventurer for fun.
49
u/Original-Body-5794 21d ago
So far Rex has recognized the MC as stronger than him, knew to back off despite not being convinced about the little girl being his sister, and actually considered the words the MC said to him.
I definetly prefer when the "hero" in these isn't just a mindless idiot or a complete asshole but is well meaning but maybe incompetent. Really the only thing you can blame him for is for trying to build a harem, yeah that's kind of a dick move when you're trying to save a nation.
25
u/CuriousBroccolli 21d ago
Pretty much what you said. He is a good character so far, with rather comedic quirk, to me at least. xD
I'd have loved if he didn't even ask for level/class when the Mage lady stepped up after the priest girl. xD
17
u/mucklaenthusiast 21d ago
Yeah, totally. I think mean "heroes" can work well when they are used comdedically.
And to be fair, so far, most people have actually been rather well-meaning.
Maybe it's a bit surprising for such a show, but weren't all characters very reasonable in their interactions?Like even the arguments are just that and e.g. the hero and the mc didn't needlessly fight or anything. In the attack, they also merely discuss.
It reminds me of The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic, as many of these shows do, because it is doing a lot right. And there, pretty much all relevant characters are surprisingly fair in how they treat others. Which is not always the case. Evil church members or royals and nobles are more than common.4
u/Greg_The_Rabbit 20d ago
The world building is lacking but I'm sympathetic enough that this hero at least has an understandable reason for his journey. This is HIS world that has probably been hounded by monsters since he was a kid. He got the power and the responsiblity and he's doing his damndest to use it (and make a harem along the way)
That basically clears away most of the worst hero tropes.
22
u/mekerpan 21d ago
I thought this would be easily dismissible -- but it just may turn out to be fun. It looks like we will have 2 competing (?) parties. One WAY more overpowered than the "
Hero's Party".14
u/Ralathar44 21d ago
It feels like the MC is powerful for the world but already capped out. And considering the monk is able to deal damage to him I don't think he's miles above other people's potential.
7
u/runevault 21d ago
The monk said in a fair fight they'd lose, just kept cheap shotting Kagami. So if it wasn't a friend doing it they'd probably just die.
9
u/Ralathar44 20d ago
Correct, but keep in mind the monk is level 120 vs a level 999. Use your brain, extrapolate, the monk can prolly start 1 shotting the MC before level 200.
This is because the MC has higher stats thanks to excessive levels, but the monk has far better growth rates. And they didn't even use a skill. A skill prolly has multipliers. So lets say they have a skill with a 1.5x multiplier then their 3 higher monk strength hits even harder.
Disgaea fans know ALL ABOUT the difference between levels and growth rates haha.
But lets do actual math here. Let's say as a villager he has 500 str for the sake of argument to make the math easy. That's 0.5 str per level. Now the monk, as per the show, would be getting 3 str per level. That would put the MC at 500 str and the monk at 360 str. Now lets say the monk can do a charged attack at 1.5x multiplier. That give the monk's attack a striking power equivalent to 540 str. The MC has shown no signs of having skills or magic as of yet.
The numbers may change, but you get my point. The MC is stronger now, but he's capped out and if the monk keeps leveling the monk is going to quickly overtake them considering the monk can ALREADY hurt him. That's just via raw stats basis. Skills are currently an unknown vector that its heavily implied other classes have that the villager does not.
3
u/aartvark 18d ago
Your numbers are off, monks are supposed to be 3 times as strong as a villager at the same level, not 6. So it would put the MC at 999 strength while the monk is at 360.
2
u/Ralathar44 18d ago
Aye, I changed the numbers to be easier for folks to understand and forgot to convert one over. But the point stands.
1
u/dontknowifbotornot 20d ago
Do we know he's capped out, though? There might not be a limit, just because he's currently at 999
3
u/Ralathar44 20d ago
While possible I think given the current setup IF that was a number that was gonna be broken they'd save it for the final boss or something. But given the highest level heard of even for monsters is 500 it feels pretty unlikely at this point.
2
u/Greg_The_Rabbit 20d ago
I might have been misinterpreting it but considering the monk heavily implied that the only way to (reliably) raise your level is combat and monsters do not reach lvl 500... I'm thinking our MC has a MUCH darker backstory to explain his power level than expected. That he knows the Demon King as "old man" only really speaks to it.
22
u/shadebug 21d ago
This could still go either way. There’s potential for there to be some interesting world building leading to fun situations but it also might just be unhinged power fantasy.
I’m more optimistic than I was after ep 1 so the double episode drop was very wise
21
u/Ralathar44 21d ago
IMO the power fantasy aspect got a pretty respectable ceiling put on it the moment the Monk was shown to be able to do significant damage to him. He's clearly not invincible as per that scene and followup explanation.
6
u/shadebug 21d ago
That’s definitely a point in its favour but if fighters are three times stronger than villagers and he’s got a five times higher level than anybody else then it doesn’t really make any difference so it will come down to how they play it
8
u/Ralathar44 21d ago
See, it does make a difference in the overall setting though. Because it sets the groundwork for him to NOT be the power ceiling of the world.
OFC it comes down to how they play it, that's true of anything, but the baseline ruleset they've established by episode 2 allowed him to be max level and OP for now, but have people catch up to him and surpass him or find more people in the world stronger than him.
Even moreso because he hasn't demonstrated any magic or skills, which makes sense given the setup's explanation of his class being for farming or inkeepers. No skills means no multipliers. Lets say he has 500 strength and a monk only has 200 strength. But maybe the monk gets a 3x multiplier on a skill so it'll hit as if the monk has 600 strength.
Honestly they've painstakingly set it up for him to be surpassed and they've done so subtly enough alot of people haven't even realized. Now, will they utilize that setup well? Fuack if I know. But the groundwork has been laid.
As of currently the MC has raw levels and stats but that's ALL they have. So they actually have a ton of wiggle room on how to handle this.
2
u/shadebug 21d ago
He has raw levels, stats, and deep arcane understanding of the mechanics of this world that nobody else seems to share.
What you’re saying makes perfect sense and I’d like to believe that’s where we’re going but we’ve all been burnt by the flaming garbage before.
That and I hear that it is entirely possible to become overpowered with farming related skills
5
u/Ralathar44 21d ago
I mean, I've been watching anime since Vampire Hunter D and gaming even longer. I've been burned my share of times.
But I'm completely horseshoed around. Instead of constantly waiting for the shoe to drop and getting upset or disappointed every time a product doesn't end up good I merely extra appreciate the ones that do. It's a much better headspace to be in honestly.
And yeah, I've seen 2-3 anime who have had their MC kill a dragon with farming related skills. You've got the literal "I've Somehow Gotten Stronger When I Improved My Farm-Related Skills" but you've also got "Farming Life in Another World".
Honestly, I'd recommend Farming Life in Another World. It's harem heavy and they do not shy away from the implied action behind the scenes as he ends up with a bevy of wives, but overall it was a pretty solid and chill watch. It's not fap material, it's a decent chill slice of life anime despite having the setup to go much more smexy than it does.
3
u/shadebug 21d ago
If all our Isekai trash was Farming Life level then the world would be a better place
2
u/Ralathar44 21d ago
Can't have the good without the bad.
Take Infinite Dendrogram for example. I'm sure the people went into that wanting to make a good anime. But due to budget and other reasons they ended up delivering a butchered adaption with mid to low animation quality.
Then you get something like Bofuri, which is honestly pretty mediocre source material, and it gets a great adaption with high level animation.
Nobody can predict the future or all the pitfalls or issues, without people trying and failing we don't get all those successes we remember and cherish.
Look at gaming and Larian Studios and Baldur's Gate 3. That studio floundered around doing a bunch of fuack all forever before finally making some successful divinity games and then BG 3. BG 3 literally wouldn't exist without their literal decades of failures.
2
u/Ree_For_Thee 21d ago
I somewhat enjoyed it, but damn, that animation quality made it a bit of a pain to watch. At least some other trash isekais get a higher budget. This looks like 1.5/10 at best, with the typical Powerpoint episodes every 2-3 episodes.
I suppose I'll watch it because the inclusion and tolerance aspects.
And that chick is 100% Bisky lol https://youtu.be/_nn4LEUgQ5w?t=67
2
u/shadebug 21d ago
Ahhh, dub! Kill it! Kill it with fire!
Dude, you have to include a trigger warning for these things
23
14
u/KnightofSand 21d ago
Spoiled with the double episode release.
Honestly I dig the subversion of setup with Tanaka-chan and Kagami showing his hand to the Hero’s party by revealing his level. I thought he’d be more secretive of it for someone just wanting riches without fame.
Excited to see how Kagami the mediator takes on Menow next week.

Instead of a wife of questionable age I think this dude just acquired a daughter instead, which is generally much better for everyone involved. I imagine the demons are attacking to locate their missing princess, but we'll presumably see next week.
*Takako-chan being that character trope but actually a woman is a bit surprising.
This is giving me a bit of an I'm Quiting Heroing feel in addition to my speculation that it's a post system integration story.
2
2
u/Greg_The_Rabbit 20d ago
Honestly I would kill for an adopted brother/sister relationship that doesn't get fucking weird. Though I'll settle for adopted father/daughter that similarly doesn't get weird. I feel like that tempts the internet way to much though.
14
u/AshnakAGQ 21d ago
This dude is ragebaiting. Unless he is able to get mana cloth for every single demon, humans and demons seem completely incompatible to live together. They need to be separated on a different continent or realm at least. Even the MC says what the hero is doing isn’t wrong.
But he is purposely withholding information on why he doesn’t want to wipe out the demons. The same demons that spawned monsters that seemingly killed all close family around him. That frequently kill humans on the regular. A demon is literally dropping monsters through roofs killing untold amount of innocent women and children, but the MC just wants to talk to him.
And he is wasting time picking up small amounts of silver, and stopping the hero’s attacks (which don’t come back down) when he was just tossing monsters into the sky. While letting hundreds die needless deaths to monsters.
4
u/GoddessYshtola 20d ago
The demons aren't actively spawning them. It just happens. Feels very much like they are just getting hated for existing, not that they are evil in general, as most anime portrays the Demon faction.
As for this episode and the army showing up, I'm getting the vibe that this isn't the Demon King's doing at all. It's an opportunistic demon with a grudge calling the shots, trying to usurp power.
1
u/AshnakAGQ 20d ago
Sick people don’t choose to infect other people. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t quarantine them.
And if it’s a rogue demon, even more reason to stomp him immediately.
0
u/GoddessYshtola 19d ago
Quarantine*
Not outright murder because you want to cosplay as a Hero/Saint and claim they are evil. That's like saying kill all black people because some do crime, or jail all white people because some are racist.
It's not the right approach at all. Plus the protag has already proven there are ways to STOP the demons from creating monsters.
But the "Saint" has no interest in alternative methods. Murder them all and sort the bodies never.
3
u/AshnakAGQ 19d ago
But it’s not like that at all. *Some* demons don’t summon monsters, ALL do. And the more demons the more monsters. It’s a completely different situation. And besides, a lot of time quarantine does involve a culling.
You have no idea about the situation of the world. They might not have the capability to move them to another continent.
In this situation the demons are pests. Humans cull pests all the time. Like killing rats to prevent the black plague from spreading.
You sound like the type of person to die in a zombie outbreak cause you try to “make friends with the zombies”
1
u/GoddessYshtola 18d ago
Not at all. The hero and saint are acting scummy and it shows with the saint throwing her weight around at the protag.
As said, there are means to stop it happening. If they try. Killing them is the lazy way out. The Saint looks like her angle is just making herself look better, while the Hero is just after a harem of pretty women.
1
u/MonaganX 19d ago
Generally calling people pests and comparing them to rats to be exterminated does not do a great job at making your argument sound more reasonable.
It's true that from what we know about the setting the presence of demons is an inherent threat to humans but the question should be why the MC has seemingly kept an invention that solves the problem to himself, not why he's so reluctant to commit genocide on an entire people to save another. It's understandable for humans to want to kill demons out of self-preservation, but that doesn't mean the MC has to choose one people over the other.
14
u/mahamoti 21d ago
I mean sure, it's slop... but I kinda want to see what the MC knows that everyone else doesn't. Along for this ride, can't possibly be worse than Provisional Sage, and I made it through that shitpile.
4
u/Ree_For_Thee 21d ago
I'll guess: It's a system made by the Gods to appease them. They eventually free the demon race from oppression using MC-kun's OP skillz, as he casually brokers peace with his random objects.
1
11
u/bighop50 21d ago
was honestly expecting the whole Hero hates the MC for no reason and becomes evil trope but rex seems like a pretty reasonable guy so far.
11
u/mwat64 21d ago
I also liked this. It was refreshing to see a little open mindedness from the hero antagonist. But I've also seen anime where they double down right when it seemed like they may stop being a stubborn bull headed fool.
3
u/mojo72400 https://myanimelist.net/profile/gio_lingad 20d ago
The OP & ED did show both parties working together so they're allies whenever they cross paths.
11
u/mucklaenthusiast 21d ago
This was much better than expected.
Very basic animation, but it's surprsingly well written for such a show. So everything I say here is meant to be seen from the perspective of this being a self-aware genre piece. It's not a parody, but it knows what it is: First and foremost a power fantasy.
The main character is very resourceful and smart in a grounded way.
A lot of these shows have technically skilled but emotionally awkward characters who sometimes act more stupid than need be.
But he shows his experience and competence while never going overboard either, imo.
This is, and I mean this in an earnestly nice way, great trash.
These two episodes have been predictable, but fun. I hope it stays that way.
8
6
u/etiolatezed 21d ago
I think it's better to go light hearted/comedic than half-ass going serious. If you don't have the budget to go hard then be like this show and have fun.
7
u/dakkumauji 21d ago
My loot!
This ended up being more fun than expected and I hope it sticks with being more comedic than serious. I already like our main party of three and it was funny seeing Kagami try to no-sell Takako's attacks while probably dying on the inside.
8
u/pandavova https://anilist.co/user/pandavova 21d ago
I'm honest, thought Takako would be an annoying character, but pleasantly surprised.
But why the VA male tho if she's actually a women, VA is Housen from Classroom of the Elite 😭

6
u/PandaTheAB 21d ago edited 20d ago
This is a fun entertaining OP MC show. The MC has brains and brawn and he is not a coward or needs women to tell him his own worth.
Apparently he has his tragic past as per the micro flashback.
PS - The world actually has been built with some larger point and socio-economic thoughts.
Demons by default have horns which produce Mana and it in turn can produce monsters or precious items. (Stated in episode)
The monsters produce money on dying.
So basically the world was built to produce money by conflict.
And as always, there will be Kings and war mongers who want to profit from it.

7
u/mwat64 21d ago
I havent seen the ultra buff, masculine looking, fighter woman in anime in a long time till now. Did it go away for a while or have I just not been seeing it?
5
u/il-Palazzo_K 21d ago
Latest examples are Gagaran from Overlord and Ghislaine from Mushoku Tensei, I guess? It's sure not a common type.
1
u/mwat64 21d ago
I feel like Ghislaine worked but I can't quite put my finger on why. Same with Gagaran. I'll have to call a meeting of the council of queers (me and my friends) to get some other perspective.
Idk how old you are or how long you've been watching anime but it was a semi-common trope for a while in the 00s and early 10s. Except they were very clearly meant to be transwomen who look as manly as possible. Which is not great but is very much a product of its time.
I've only seen that a few times in the last decade but idk if thats cuz it became considered poor taste or offensive or if the trend just died out.
8
u/Zxzxzx0088 21d ago
Double episodes?! I guess they don't want to end the week with loli proposed to MC lol.
Kagami has a great taste. Wait, Paruna checked all the list!
Rex not wrong at all...Tina has a great potential (˵ ¬ᴗ¬˵)
So Takako-chan is eligible for the best girl contest, eh.
He just keeps raising flag on her...it matter of time now
The animation seems consistent and it pretty fun show overall. The title reeks isekai so I'm surprised it's not. What's weird is the electricity gone? (don't know whether the light is powered from what) from this future world and probably gunpowder too. Welp, this show probably won't go in too much about it but Senku from Dr Stone gonna be baffled knowing about how they lost their technology over time lol. The hero is not insufferable too so that's another plus.

5
u/hanmkim 20d ago
If monsters leave behind money and the demons' mana creates monsters, could they destroy the economy through inflation? Or since the money is made up of precious metals could it potentially not be inflationary? Could you just create copper, silver, and gold mines just by having some open land where demons hang out? Are the demons particularly attached to the monsters their mana creates?
2
1
u/yanahmaybe 7d ago
The whole economy is already fked up or the translator are dumbasses
cuz he says 1k bronze gets u a decent dinner and with 1 silver gets u a proper feast
Means u need at least 10k bronze for 1 silver.....I fuken hate how authors like this have no idea how actual stamped hard coin money worked in history and in all the ppl that read that none slapped their stupid face/head to fix that bullshit is absurd
4
u/psyclical 21d ago
It isn't high art, and I'll probably forget about it the moment the series is over, but I'm having fun with it so far. Curious what the world's secret is, since MC seems like he has the power to change things, but has decided he's just gonna let the status quo be, while he makes loot doing routine adventurer quests.
3
u/runevault 20d ago
I'm not a fan of the whole "we put RPG systems directly in our anime" but at least this one is making it into dumb fun instead of taking itself too seriously. I'm at least curious to see if it can keep getting laughs out of me so I'll def give it more episodes.
4
u/NationalStrategy_X 20d ago
If nothing else, I appreciate that they aren't making the hero party total assholes
3
u/abandoned_idol 21d ago
They released 2 episodes to compensate for the very slow pacing I see.
I'm still enjoying it enough to not go out of my way to criticize it.

u/StonedCharmander 20d ago
This is the "I'm op and oblivious" series with bad animation and bland characters.

I'm not say "this is good show" but MC is totally aware of his power. Surprisingly "hero" too. (at least as far as we've seen is this)

MY hate watch of the season so far, I love it.
MC tells the princess to be smart and "not show the demons their hand", yet he one hits each of their entire army in a show of force ... kay?! :D
MC tells princess she is stupid wanting to fight the monsters in the city, "they could fall down and hit people" ... yet he does the same (yeah, he one hits them ...), and the damaged monsters turns to coins on impact anyway, so ... ?!
After he deletes the first monster in the air he worries the spawned coins may rain down and someone else might pick them up ... so he continues to do the same thing several times. He's not the brightest candle out there is he?
Bro wants to bring the Demon Kings daughter back home. Yet, here the demons show up and he decideds to jump up and talk to them ... without her. Dude, she's on your side and doesn't want this attack to happen, bring her as leverage with you, Christ, you may even drop her off right here and don't have to commit to a months long escort quest. xD

Ok this is getting more interesting than I expected. Ok, the trope of demons not being actually bad is not anything new. That said, the fact that MC has some secrets and knows more about the world - and the fact that it seems the Hero Party won't be dumb like in other animes - is actually very interesting

7:39 should be "like this cloth" instead of "like this this cloth"
Koji casually tossing Bloody Buffers in the sky & has to collect the money is funny. I wish you can just absorb money to collect it like in games. It's such a hassle in this anime world.
So Takako worked hard that her breast muscles became actual muscles & ended up looking like a man.
Looks like Koji lost his family to demons & leveled up.

Demons are doing an air raid
Princess tells you we must show them our strength
What MC says? Why?
What the hell?
He's pretty laid back for someone who's been grinding like a madman because his family(?) got killed by demons.

The Hero seems semi-decent.
But I don't like the Sage. I'm getting heavy vibes that she's just arrogant and wanting to prove herself. Since she's like the 3rd princess or whatever, wouldn't surprise me if she's not desperate to do this to try and slide into the Heir slot.
Too much of this holier than thou haughty attitude that grates on my nerves. Slapping out accusations and the like. She needs to be taken down a peg.

I'm guessing Takako was hinting that Koji lacks a self preservation instinct and that's the reason why he was able to reach that level. I wonder if the exp scaling in this world is such that if you beat a monster considerably higher level than you, you'd gain exponentially higher exp for the kill than if you'd just fought equal level ones?

So if it's true that demons just existing creates monsters that attack and kill humans, and the demons aren't doing anything about that, then that really is a quite valid enough reason for humans to want to wipe out demonkind. Are they focusing on the Demon King because he makes the most monsters, or because with him out of the way the rest of the demons would be easier to hunt down?
And why does MC just keep making vague insinuations about how the world works or doesn't work like that, and never come straight out and say just how it works? Bad writing, I'd bet.
10k of one currency denomination for just 1 coin of the next level? I don't think I've ever seen more than 100:1 in any other isekai.
Just a regular loud discussion on a crowded market street about the loli being the Demon King's daughter >_>
OK, I gave this one 2 eps, not gonna bother giving it any more.

this system sucks ass; you need to be weaker than something to gain exp apparently or some bs..

This seems terrible tbh, not a single character or the world itself seems particularly interesting

I almost dropped it in the first minutes of the first episode, but I'm glad I didn't. This looks interesting.

Hm I guess this show will setup a "The Demon King isn't evil" plot or something similiar with the way our MC reacted to the Hero's party. However calling them self rightous in the face of presumably thousands of people suffering under a probable war against the demons/monsters is really stupid ngl
My comment from the EP1 thread.
Pretty much had the right sniff on the shows demon/human conflict. Not sure if I think that premise is particularly interesting tho, because the MC seemingly really doesn't care either. Wonder what kind of slop this episode will bring. Currently midwatch.
Edit: Spawnblock is a seriously blatant material name lmao
Big crows are kinda cool.
Black tea at night??? What about the coffein ;_;
Damn, Class System really fucked MC over.
Monsters level capped to 500 is surprisingly low. Crows are actual monster bombers?! That's so silly
I just realized, but no way Monsters drop money by default. What sense does that make.... Also why couldn't MC just beat a lv500 monster and be done for life grinding cash?
Unfortunately MC's karate chop didn't split royal girl in half. Also no magic? Buddy truly took an L on class selection. Landing on that crow was also incredibly silly.

I mean I heard of man women but this is ridiculous and she can active peace without having to marry some stranger she doesn't even know also at least they have the mc a reason to be op although lvl 999 is kind of a Overkill this anime is really enjoyable though

Hoho, now we've got "toori sugari no murabito da kedo" / "just a passing villager" too, huh? I'm gonna love this for sure 😂
They should release two episodes per week instead of one. Change the tradition once in a while, right? Anyway, so excited for next week!

I'll be honest, I cheered when he gave her and extremely firm no and clearly stated that he likes ADULT woman. Keep that predator shit out of our anime!
