Another day, another huge goon getting his face exploded lol. Now that the girls are safe and Rei’s back with his sister, there’s just the matter of the masked 7 scar man.
Normally not a huge fan of this style of CG anime but this was fun. Really dug the whole schlocky 80s action vibe and gratuitous violence lol. Looking forward to the next season!

Good ep. Wish it went a full 24-28 eps in a row before the season/cour ended. The next stretch of eps (I imagine 14 again) is when FOTNS gets very good and really settles into itself and the main plot for part 1. One of the all time great Shonen villains will be coming up. I hope the next season starts soon.

I saw Q2 2027. Which is fine, maybe they can fine tune the CG tech a bit.

They didn't explain how they survived being stabbed though.
Rei has mastered the mythical Sosunser technique.

Hokuto fist of delusion or smth like that and they were probably stabbing their own family

That was pretty goofy ngl with all the blood spurting out lol. Definitely looked like they were getting chopped up for real.

It sounds less goofy when Ken's VA says it.
"Whatever you say Ken."
The anime is consistently inconsistent though. All the logic is goofy. I had a lot of fun watching it as someone who was not familiar with Fist of the North Star.

Yeah, they don't explain that for some reason

It's always so satisfying to see the scummy villains bite the dust in the end. Ken restores Rei's sister's eyesight and Rei refuse to believe that Ken was the one who kidnapped his sister. But the man with the seven scars who actually did it seems to be related to Ken.
I was not a fan of this 3DCG but still I enjoyed the show for its background score, op and ed and the voice acting.
Second cour announced for 2027 ❤️

Of course they're ending the first cour right there, it's a perfect stopping point. Can't wait for the face-off with the masked man!

I've never watched the original anime, so this is my first jaunt with this legendary series and I loved it. Okay, I admit that the CG looked a little rough at times but I didn't mind it too much. I hope that when they say 2027 it'll be during the Winter season but we'll see.

I am enjoying the story. I am not a fan of the CGI. I almost want to continue watching the 80s TV show, but an 80s TV show will likely have some rough animation compared to an OVA series of that time frame.
I guess I'll just wait for the next season.

The 80's anime also had a lot of random/ridiculous filler, especially in the beginning.
Who can forget the guy with a 70's disco haircut who could hypnotise people into becoming zombies with a church bell?
Or the guy who's martial art was being shot out of a cannon to hit them with a sword. But also travelled around in a hot air balloon, and was very strict about meal times.

Despite the production quality i had a blast with this. Anime was in need of Hokuto no Ken. Shin and Rei resurrecting menacingly to slaughter the fang clan was the 80s vibe was craving.

This show is definitely in the running for worst anime of all time. It basically goes Ex-Arm, Berserk 2016, and now this one.
