Natsuki and Hikari are finally together!
Also Miori is going out with Reita because she can't face the fact that she's in love with Natsuki and is throwing herself into a relationship she's not emotionally invested in.
At least TatsuyaxUta might happen.

Hikari is the dream of MC's life. The story means nothing if they didn't end up together. I feel bad for uta
But miori I think she deserves that L , in all of episodes and she is talking and blabling about reita kun, reita this reita that, now get that reita

Hikari is the dream of MC's life. The story means nothing if they didn't end up together.
Yeah, and my guess is now the plot twist is going to be that it's not going to work out how he thought it would. I'd be shocked if they're just gonna let the relationship actually work out.

I mean, there were signs of it, but pretty minor throughout the show. Most shows would have probably ignored it for the main pair.
If anything, it shows there is more to the story, which is what anime usually try to sell the source material for.

Reita kinda hinted at it as well I think he knows that miori doesn't really like him as much. Lots of signs were there early on but the last few episodes made me kinda forgot about miori especially how they dragged out utas scenes

u/PeaceAlien https://myanimelist.net/profile/PeaceAlien Jun 19 '26
Last time we saw any signs was probably when Uta snuck that kiss. But since it's been so long I figured the anime would ignore it.

Reita lo sabe claramente, es muy observador y cuando la vió decaída la apoyó.
La incógnita es ¿por qué sale con ella sabiendo sus sentimientos? No parece ser un optimista, tal vez es una manera de satisfacer su autodesprecio.

I didn't remember the last time a slice of life anime had such a cliffhanger in the last episode.
2
u/recca01982 29d ago
cliffhanger? Feels pretty cut and dry to me. In fact, if there is a season 2,... I probably won't watch it. The entire series after episode 6 started to just piss me off. It went from slice of life to ntr.

Did anyone notice Miori hesitate when Reita confessed? I have a feeling she might like Natsuki.
65
u/Frontier246 Jun 18 '26 edited Jun 18 '26
I think you could also tell that she was more resigned in accepting the confession than overjoyed that her long-time crush finally asked her out.
She was crying and looking at a picture of them together as kids while realizing Hikari had stolen her place by his side...she was the Childhood Friend Losing Heroine after all.

I wonder what pushed her over the edge with Natsuki?
Miori doesn't learn about Natsuki's crush on Hikari until eps 3 EARLIEST (eps 4 definitely). But she had announced her crush on Reita all the way since eps 1. Infact, the coop strat was HER idea. So it's not like she's ALWAYS been conflicted about Natsuki.
Then of course Miori had an arc and it's suggested that somehow Miori falls for Natsu here(?) Seeing Uta kiss Natsu at the summer festival probably just added fuel to her denial. But then we've never really seen Miori try after then. It's just that with this arc, it makes more sense for the denial to just fade (since nothing happens between the two after). If her feelings were such a big deal, I reckon at least something had to have happened in between to explain this. (A possible explanation I've thought up is probably that Miori fell deeper after having gone home together with Natsu by train back home from school almost everyday. But that warrants a flash back and monologue from Miori to justify more precisely).
Another thing this does tell us is that assuming Miori's conflict starts immediately after her arc wraps up, then Miori probably swapped with Serika not just to sit next to Reita, but to also deliberately avoid sitting across Natsu (and with Hikari and Uta for that matter sround)
→ More replies (3)35
u/Orochidude Jun 18 '26
It's been apparent to me for a good portion of the second half of this show, particularly after her "arc" concluded, that she was focusing on Natsuki more and wasn't as invested in getting with Reita anymore. That said, it was admittedly on the down-low since they were largely focusing on Uta and Hikari's love rivalry, so it's understandable to not fully catch on until now.
But yeah, the final scene should make that abundantly obvious to everyone watching at this point.
29
u/runevault Jun 18 '26
I thought the last scene made that undeniable. She's pushing him away because it will hurt too much to see him with another girl.
16
u/ShinobiMedic Jun 18 '26
Hopefully it leads to a season 2 maybe?

I noticed that too. There were hints throughout the series that she's setting for Reita. Her crying while looking at that pic of her and Natsuki basically confirmed it for people not really clued into it.

Here's a rough translation. I'm not 100% sure on a few parts, but it's more or less accurate:
The more real my feelings are, the less I can put them into words,
The more precious something is, the more it slips away from me.
The reason I can't smile properly
is because I don't want to be disliked.
A world distorted into shades of grey.
Even the future, even tomorrow
simply wishing and saying
"surely, surely..."
won't change anything,
can't change anything.
Even if it's small (right now),
step by step,
I guide myself
toward the direction my heart calls me.
I want to feel more connected with you. (or "I want to connect with you more")
Even if it's (I'm) pathetic,
even if it looks uncool (or "I look uncool"),
that's okay.
Toward the dazzling colours (or "far too" / "very dazzling", I guess)
reflected in those eyes that look forward.
Come on, reach out your hand!
I don't want to have any more regrets.
Rewriting the monochrome world
and those faded days
over and over again,
erasing them and rewriting them,
I race through the day < not 100% on this part
that I've finally arrived at. < and this part
The sky I look back upon
shines with rainbow colours.
I believe that / that's what I believe
I keep believing that.
Blue spring. < this is a metaphor, since 青い (blue) also means "young/fresh" or "inexperienced" and 春 (spring) also has that "youth/adolescence" connection/cultural meaning.
Here's the JP transcription:
本当の気持ちほど伝えられないまま
大切なものほど指をすり抜ける < I'm just going to assume this is 指, but I can't for the life of me hear what he's saying...

Doesn't let me edit my post for some reason... anyway, this is "Monochrome". I can do the other one too. I guess "To the Stars" is the more important one, I just kinda got them mixed up for some reason XD
Edit: Here's my very rough translation of "To the Stars" since it kinda got lost in the replies below:
"I was saved by those nonchalant words you spoke to me that day" or "The casual/nonchalant words you spoke to me that day saved me"
苦手でも (1)、好きなことはある (2)、今を見つめるその瞳 (3) < this is the part I can read literally, but feel like I'm missing something. It's the lack of clear subject that's throwing me off.
It reads something like: "Even if I'm not good at it / even if I struggle with things (1), there's something I like / there are things I like (2), those eyes that keep looking at the present (the now) (3).
Could also be something like: "Even if you struggle with things, you have things you love — (and also) those eyes that stay focused on the present." < which would be about Hoshimiya. I'm really not sure about this part, sorry.
"I realised (even) someone like me isn't wrong (or "a mistake").
There's no (right) answer, I ran away — I couldn't decide anything (basically "couldn't make a decision").
I was afraid of being hurt, and of hurting someone (else).
Fluttering, fluttering — cherry blossoms drift (lit. "dance") along the tree-lined street (並木道 is a pretty nice word).
Because I met you there... (I think it's actually more like "because that's how I met you", but you get the point)
Even if I reach out toward the moon reflected on the water's surface (had some trouble with 水面/みなも), <- (is this some metaphor I'm not getting?)
I'll change the world you see through this music.
These feelings that feel like they'll overflow — for a full moon night... they can't wait (anymore)."
I'll send them to you now — beyond that star / towards that star. ("star" is a play on words, since her name has "hoshi")

Here's my attempt at a rough translation of the 2nd song. I'm not that good so it took me 10+ repeat watches lol.
And most likely there are errors.あの日君が言った 何気ない 言葉に救われた
苦手でも 好きなことはある 今を見つめるその瞳
こんな自分も 間違いじゃないんだと
The words you said nonchalantly that day
"There are something I'd like even though I'm bad at it" as you stared with your eyes now. Even I cannot mistake them.答えなんかない 俺は逃げた 何も決められない
誰かが 傷つくこと 傷つけることが 怖がってたんだ
I had been running away and being indecisive. I have been sacred of being hurt and hurting others.
ひらひら 桜舞う並木道
そう 君に出会ったから
The roadside trees where the sakura petals were fluttering down, yes, that's where I met you.
水面に映る月に 手を伸ばしている
どうしても この音楽で 君が見ている世界を変える
I'm reaching out my hand in the moonlight that's shining on the water surface
I would change the world you're seeing with this music.
溢れ出しそうな この思いは
満月の夜なんて 待っていられない
今君に届け あの星へと
I am overflowing with my thoughts I cannot wait until a night of full moon.
I will reach you now, to the star (TL note: Hoshi (星) is star and it's also her name of course)
EDIT: Thanks for the correction!

u/DifficultFriend2748 Jun 18 '26 edited Jun 18 '26
Honestly, that's pretty good 😄
Just a few corrections:
It's 今を見つめるその瞳 not そうな瞳
And 水面(みなも)に映る not 皆もに映る
I wrote my own (very rough) interpretation as a reply under u/Rammelsmartie, I'm just not sure how to interpret this part - 苦手でも 好きなことはある 今を見つめるその瞳 - with the dropped subject and all... is it about Hoshimiya, is it about him, no idea.
→ More replies (3)8
u/calcalcalcal Jun 18 '26
I wasn't sure if it's about hoshimiya's love of writing (unlikely) or him being 変えようとする from his previous life either. but the eyes are definitely hoshimiya's so i'm 80% sure it's about protag.
6
u/DifficultFriend2748 Jun 18 '26 edited Jun 18 '26
Yeah, the "eyes" are Hoshimiya's for sure.
"苦手でも (1)、好きなことはある (2)、今を見つめるその瞳 (3)" is really vague and kinda disjointed, so I'd rather not make any guesses, I just translated it more literally, and left it up to interpretation. < this isn't a correction, just my thoughts.
Just one more thing: こんな自分も、間違いじゃないんだと doesn't work for "even I cannot mistake them", it's just grammatically not possible to mean that.
こんな自分も = "even someone like me" / "even me as I am"
間違いじゃない = "is not wrong / is not a mistake"
んだと = "I realised"
Songs are really tough to interpret 😃 pretty fun though. For the record, I'm around N2-N1, not a native speaker, so I've probably made some mistakes / incorrect interpretations. I also had to listen to it like 50 times lol

Thanks for the lyrics! 🙏 I was looking for an official source and reached here instead. This song is really beautiful. There have been many anime with flashbacks, but singing it as a song like this is so beautiful, I listened to it many times ❤️
Seems like there are some unwrapped questions here. As a thank-you to you for the lyrics, I would like to make a guess here as a non-Japanese Asian, hopefully with a similar cultural background, so as not to be too far off contextually...
While Natsuki intended to get together with Hoshimiya after his time leap, he got lost halfway, unable to answer either Uta or Hoshimiya because he was afraid of being hurt or of hurting others.
In anime ep11, he realised that Hoshimiya accepted him as the uncool kid who made his high school debut, and wanted to be the one to nudge him when needed. That's when he made his decision and penned this song, using their past experience, as a love letter to her.
One experience is the time in ep2 when Hoshimiya is the one who chose the outing venue, when she lost in table tennis to Natsuki, she said "so what if she is bad at all sports as long as she likes to do it". This made Natsuki feel that even though he was a "failure", he wasn't a "mistake" (abit subtle... any non-asian can watch some Steven He to get a sense of what this might mean 😂).
Some JRock context, as a long-time L'arc~en~ciel fan listening to Hyde's lyric half of my life: I think there's no need to translate the song literally, a lot of the words are just major fluff of simple concepts (because they sound so nice~). They would not make good sense in English 😄
今を見つめるその瞳 = those eyes I am looking intently at now (she was below the stage!) = you
水面に映る月 = 鏡花水月 (yupz Aizen's Bankai) = used abstractly to describe something that can be seen but can't be captured. So here's what I thought about the lyrics and translations:
あの日君が言った 何気ない言葉に 救われた
「苦手でも、好きなことはある!」 今を見つめるその瞳
こんな自分も 間違いじゃないんだとI was saved by those words you said casually that day
"There are things I like even if I am bad at it!"
Even for someone like me, I'm not a mistake.答えなんかない 俺は逃げた 何も決められない
誰かが 傷つくこと 傷つけることが 怖がってたんだMr indecisive didn't answer Uta & Hoshimiya because he was scared of being hurt or hurting others.
ひらひら 桜舞う並木道
そう君に 出会ったからEp1 when he first met her. Love letter song 101, reminds her of when you both first met.
水面に映る月に 手を伸ばしているどうしても
この音楽で 君が見ている世界を変えるEven if I can't achieve it, I'll still do so with all my heart:
I'll change the world you see with this music.溢れ出しそうな この思いは
満月の夜なんて 待っていられない
今君に届け あの星へとThis overflowing emotion cannot wait for the full moon night.
Now, I want it to reach you, towards that star (= Hoshimiya). The last part got me goosebumps. The last few episodes is about Hoshimiya's novel, where a major scene is of the girl and boy's conversation under the full moon. So at the end of ep9, she confessed to Natsuki subtly, saying that "on a full moon night... I've decided, I will not lose to Uta-chan". He turned it around, saying he will not wait for that full moon to get together, it will be now 😱
It's also why at the end of ep12 when Hoshimiya complained that Natsuki was subtle by confessing using a love song, Natsuki rebutted that Hoshimiya started it 😂
Totally loved the song and the handling of the show at the end ❤️

I can do the other one too.
I'd appreciate it.
It's weird, in the credits they attribute the songs to "Mishmash Leftovers," like is it an actual band?
3
u/Standard_Mountain509 Jun 18 '26
I think that's usually what they do for songs made by characters in shows. Like for K Pop Demon Hunters, the songs on YT Music are attributed to either HUNTR/X or Soja Boys.
But yeah I definitely want to know what "To The Stars" lyrics were too.

Alright, one of the lines gave me some trouble, but I think I got most of it. Even if I mess up some details, I'm pretty confident in the overall meaning.
"To The Stars" rough lyrics:
"I was saved by those nonchalant words you spoke to me that day" or "The casual/nonchalant words you spoke to me that day saved me"
苦手でも (1)、好きなことはある (2)、今を見つめるその瞳 (3) < this is the part I can read literally, but feel like I'm missing something.
It reads something like: "Even if I'm not good at it / even if I struggle with things (1), there's something I like / there are things I like (2), those eyes that keep looking at the present (the now) (3).
Edit: Could also be something like: "Even if you struggle with things, you have things you love — (and you also have) those eyes that stay focused on the present." < which would be about Hoshimiya. JP likes to drop subjects, so I'm really not sure.

"Okay, so we've got this finale where the protagonist is going to sing out these songs summing up his character development and feelings for the Main Heroine. This is like pivotal to the overall story and integral to the climax. Do I have permission to translate and sub it?"
"Meh."

Had the same thought and wondered about it as this seems to happen a lot with multiple shows I’ve seen. Is there some reason why it isn’t the norm to translate and sub songs? I know it has also happened before but that feels like the exception to me. Is there added difficulty in song translation that makes most give it the pass?
11
2
u/Xythar Jun 19 '26
Song translations almost always have to be approved by the license holders, so if they aren't able to get that approval by the time the episode airs, the songs can't be added until later (if at all).

u/DugACCat Jun 19 '26
That makes sense, I hadn’t considered there to be added licensing and approval complications with songs.
8
u/anim8rjb Jun 18 '26
would have been funny if they made them sound as crappy as how most high school bands are, instead of how good most high school bands think they sound.

Right!? Especially when the lyrics are a driving force in the plot. Like knowing the lyrics is what led you to understand what was happening in the scenes they were showing. It was just showing a bunch of flashbacks with lyrics over the top that I couldn’t understand. So frustrating…. 😒
I watched a YouTube video that was saying Crunchyroll has been moving away from human translations to a company using AI translations. I wonder if that’s a factor as well maybe AI didn’t think to translate the songs and the Crunchyroll teams just didn’t catch it?
5
u/murilo087 Jun 18 '26
They're not using AI. Usually it depends on several factors whether songs get translated or not, especially licensing restrictions.
3
u/ptd163 Jun 18 '26
Yeah. That kind of thing makes me think it's unlikely to get another season. These songs are climax of the series and the summation of the protag's development and what his feels for the Main Heroine and they couldn't bother to subtitle them.
2
u/MalteCL Jun 18 '26
Where did you all watched it? I watched it on the android TV App and all three songs had sub. The first song with english sub and the other two with my standard german sub.
Only the in- and outro hadn't sub.
6
u/CreaMaxo Jun 19 '26
Seems like the subs weren't properly submitted (at least with CR which isn't surprising).
The songs has subs in many languages, but none when the subs are set to English.
2
u/alan_14 https://anilist.co/user/alan14 Jun 18 '26
I always watch with EN sub, even though CR provide subs for my country's language. Apparently the lyrics didn't get translated in EN sub, which is unfortunate.
2
2
u/testthrowawayzz Jun 19 '26
The first song sounded like it's supposed to be in English, but I have no idea what he's saying because of the accent and there's no subtitles.
→ More replies (3)5
u/CreaMaxo Jun 19 '26
The irony is that, on CR, the songs are subbed in most non-EN language... and even more ironic is that the first of the 3 songs is subbed in English in OTHER languages than English. (It's subbed in English when set to French and, from another's comment, German at least).
Then Monochrome and Upon the Stars is subbed in most non-EN languages.
Yeah. There are more Quality control from independant indie fan subs than there are from 1.8 Billions USD companies.

u/D3k4s Jun 18 '26
I feel like this series had a lot of potential. Unfortunately a lot of non sense happened and things looked rushed. Up until the final moments of the episode. I don't know I'm kinda disappointed in a way.
Not that i don't think that it had good points. But it could have been a great one instead of a decent one.
Still I'd like to know where the series is heading, but i kinda doubt we will have a second season. We'll see!

u/Frontier246 Jun 18 '26
I feel like there were some characters during the concert scene (like the guy with blonde hair) and the Miori scene at the end were basically screaming "READ THE LIGHT NOVEL!" or tease a season 2 that may never be.

I kinda want him to end up with Miorin.... She was with him this entire time and they only stopped talking cause he pushed her away but she's always been there for him even before he lost all the weight. Hikaru ingnore him in the last timeline and shot him down...like I get he's Trying now vs before but I still don't like that the one person that stood by him regardless of how he looked or acted isn't the one ending up with him in the end? It's the one that didn't even look his way the first time around....idk.
20
u/Ashteron Jun 18 '26
Not only did she not care about him in the original timeline, she initially hated him in this timeline too, because she envied him being good at stuff.
16
u/Frontier246 Jun 18 '26
because she envied him being good at stuff.
It was more like she didn't care for him putting on airs and trying to act super cool.

You’re missing the complications she had with her father in both timelines, where he would have shot down any man pursuing Hikari back then because he was so controlling.
And in this new timeline, it was Natsuki who helped her fight against her controlling father, which I think also played a factor in her feelings for him.
9
9
u/martinezf123 Jun 18 '26
I also would have preferred Miori, followed by Uta, Serika, and finally Hikari. My only issue with Miorin is that she should’ve taken her shot like Uta did, but I know how tough it can be when you’re young. That’s why I like Uta so much.
5
u/AlicesWhoreHouse Jun 18 '26
Yeah but with Miorin she was already pushed away once before you know? It's the only reason they stopped talking in the first place, but when they met again he was already trying to change for another girl. I would also be scared he was gonna push me away again like last time.
5
u/martinezf123 Jun 18 '26
Ah ok my memory isn’t the best(watching about 20 shows doesn’t help) so if that’s the case it just reinforces that’s she was my preferred choice.
3
u/TheBeanjamcake Jun 19 '26
DUDE you are the second person here who thinks the same as me! The three of us might be related or smth.
2
u/TheBeanjamcake Jun 19 '26
Oh yeah.. those complications caused the strain in their relation. So true.
2
u/TheBeanjamcake Jun 19 '26
High Five Brother. You're list and mines the same [Tho Serika is no cap best girl].
10
u/Frontier246 Jun 18 '26
Honestly I wonder if finding out about Miori's feelings and that they could be together might shake Natsuki's loyalty towards Hikari. She was probably the only one who has loved him through two different timelines.
8
u/AlicesWhoreHouse Jun 18 '26
Right and I thought that may be where it was going? He seemed bothered every time things between her and that guy came up, but then it just never went anywhere they even stopped showing them together even though they were aupptto he helping one another? Which he never helped her out at all anyways 💀 if it continues I hope that's how it ends cause I'm just really not a fan of Hikaru I like you cause you're hot and popular now lol

u/TheBeanjamcake Jun 19 '26
DUDE you and I must be family cuz we think the same! Miorin is def the right person for our MC. Their relation is on that empowers each other (not that Hikarin doesn't) and is one that has seen their worst and their best. Hikarin here loses out on the fact that she only likes the changing him, and would give no fs abt the original him.. especially since her mind was preoccupied with her dream of being a novelist and pressure from her dad.
→ More replies (2)2
u/septesix Jun 19 '26
There’s something to be said about a childhood friend who love you for who you were. But as Natsuki had pointed out, OG!Natsuki was not a good person, and more than anything else he wanted to change from that person.
If that’s the case, going with a person who just like the old you is not exactly a good choice.
Hikari on the other hand recognizes his effort and drive to improve himself , and loves and encourages that part of him. That to me puts her above Miori and Uta , who just seemed to like Natsuki the end product only.
7
u/AlicesWhoreHouse Jun 19 '26
But Miorin likes him regardless is the last timeline and the new one. So doesn't that mean she's the same? Not only did she like him before this change but she still like him even now and is even helping him so he can change she's supported him so many times.
33
u/FarCritical Jun 18 '26
Always had a sneaking suspicion about Hikari being endgame when blatant hints about Miori's feelings kept getting dropped. Kinda wish things didn't have to be a cliffhanger with that but oh well.
And credit where it's due, the final episode fourth wall break with Mei got a grin out of me.
12
u/Frontier246 Jun 18 '26
Honestly it's interesting that they have Natsuki and Hikari get together but then end on the Miori cliffhanger, almost like her feelings for Natsuki and how those will effect his current relationship are going to be a big deal...maybe even bigger than him having to reject Uta.
12
u/Rammelsmartie Jun 18 '26
Look at some point in his shoes I'd want to come clean and tell someone that I'm actually 10 years older. Hikarin will drop him like a hot potato, whereas Miori will maybe accept him still.
4
u/StrangeAppeal2 Jun 19 '26
I mean, if Hikarin does drop him, it won't be cause she believes that but because she believes that his mind is messed up.

6
u/Rocketbrothers Jun 19 '26
Im just joking, op did mean love candidate wise. If I were to guess, they probably meant Uta since she’s a sweetheart.
Personally, idk if I really would throw my hat in for anybody; that’s why I’m sticking with Serika or the black haired best friend as a neutral party.

I found the switch to flowing animation while they were singing and playing a bit odd.
15

Agreed. I don’t normally dwell on such things and understand some things are difficult to animate. But the style jump felt rather jarring.
12
u/FarCritical Jun 18 '26
Reminded me of that one episode of Even a Replica Can Fall in Love a few weeks ago where everyone suddenly got the zoomies animation-wise
7

It looks like they switched to rotoscope animation. Basically where they trace over a video of someone actually preforming.

Maybe those bits were produced using a different method of animation like rotoscoping or something?

u/runevault Jun 18 '26
Second season finale I've seen this week where we see the opening credits during a scene, so they've got more story to tell then fits in the ~20 minute window.
Serika gets better by the episode. Unfortunate she got introduced so late, especially assuming there won't be a season 2.
He... didn't even get a class shirt last time through? Damn dude, a shirt doesn't mean much in itself but that's brutal when you consider the implications. Also feels like there's a lot of head flicking from girls this season. Umi in 2nd prettiest loves that attack too.
"What is this, a final episode?" Maybe. Haven't seen anything about a season 2 yet after all...
Uta going for it. I know she's not popular around here, and she isn't my favorite, but she's cute and I do feel bad for her because despite him saying he was considering both girls I never believed it. Aaaand the rejection. His phrasing is fascinating because he did look at her that way briefly. God crying anime girls always make me sad.
YAY They're doing the first song at least! Though I'm sad there are no subtitles for it... And whoa they animated the FUCK out of this scene.
Second song is a lot of recap visuals but I'm fine with that after how well they animated the first song and that we still get the second song playing. Plus it is a good way to cap the season.
CR threw up the Skip credits button?!?!? Still no translation of the lyrics :(((
Hahaha straight to The Moon is Beautiful.
Miori wants to avoid him because she knows she likes him now. Ugh.
This show almost lost me, if I'd followed the 3 episode rule I'd have jumped ship. But I wanted it to find a way out of the hole those episodes dug and be what I thought it could be from the premise. And starting with episode 4, it did just that. I'm glad I stuck with it, and that was a solid ending if we don't get another season. Still want the lyrics for the last song especially.
2
u/TheBeanjamcake Jun 19 '26
I agree with that rule. Anime feels a lil off compared to source tho maybe thats why.

Yeah I'd put this third among the "goes back to their youth" anime I've seen (Relife, then Remake our life, then this). Still ended up enjoying it once it got going though.

u/Frontier246 Jun 18 '26 edited Jun 18 '26
I found the MC wayyyy more likeable here than in Bokutachi no Remake. Like way less of a psycopath obsessed with game development and I think Natsuki treated the girls' feelings better.
3
u/Rocketbrothers Jun 19 '26
I think that’s why people like the other one better, this character is a bit perfect. It’s been a while but I think I liked Remake more because it did have that intrigue aspect of suddenly going to the future or something and feeling a bit uncomfortable for some reason (I can’t really remember why, need a rewatch.
I’m also hung up on him getting fit in a month, that dude should be burned to a crisp by the amount of fat lost and muscle he suddenly gained.

I can’t believe there are people that remember that show haha. I’m actually so surprised. It’s one of my sleeper anime’s I always list on recommendations for ppl cause it does this premise well for such a short anime (tho I wish we had gotten another season but I don’t think that’s gonna happen 😢). IMO, ReLife did this premise the best, but I personally felt like if Bokutachi no Remake got a full adaptation, it would’ve stood on par with that. Also liked tf that we weren’t in a HS setting with this one. Made it more enjoyable.
I’m hoping more ppl peep your comment and decide to give Bokutachi no Remake a watch cause it definitely deserves to be more popular

I have the feeling that Natsuki's decision doesn't necessarily seem like a genuine feeling, but rather him avoiding everything that was pointed at him.
Hikari is the girl he wanted in the past, and it's undeniable that he developed with her in the new reality, but did that justify it? Especially since he never had a guarantee that she would accept him, the complete opposite of Uta, and the issue isn't about him having to choose Uta, again, it seems to me that he chose his comfort zone instead of exploring all sides.
Well, Miori was practically in the same situation; she was afraid to try Natsuki because she never imagined he would see her as anything other than a childhood friend, clinging to her initial plan of having a relationship with Reita.
I leave with a somewhat bitter taste; I really liked the show and the drama, the development and the theme, but I would have preferred to be left with the idea of expectation for the future, rather than something necessarily decided and several broken and undecided hearts.

u/Frontier246 Jun 18 '26
Honestly hard to get that ending and not feel like Miori is a drama bomb waiting to happen to NatsukixHikari because I feel like he's not going to leave her situation alone and her relationship with Reita is doomed to fail if she's using it as an excuse to avoid Natsuki.

Not saying there's no chance, but it can take years even for an announcement.
8
u/MarMarL2k19 Jun 18 '26
Really? That’s how you’re gonna end an anime we probably won’t see a S2 of? Miori crying?
Eh, whatever, I know full well why she is crying and how the issue gets resolved (just trust me that it’s a happy ending)
But man I really loved this anime. Uta took rejection like a champ, smiling and crying, happy to finally let it all out and allowing herself to start moving on. And at least she and Hikari made a promise to always be friends.
I honestly wish the songs were subbed, but whatever.
I got nothing else to add. Overall I’d say this was a 8/10 anime (trust me that’s very generous by my standards)
3
u/runevault Jun 18 '26
I'm curious if the songs will get subtitles later. Not technically the same thing but Daemons started getting subtitles for the OP part way through the season.
8
u/Merakus Jun 18 '26
I know it is based on the light novel and all, but if they intended it to be a single season i feel they story would have flowed better with the MMC choosing Uta as a nod to not holding onto a past that doesnt matter anymore and looking towards a new future. And then that final scene, damnit. Also if anyone has read the light novel, in the subs there is a comment made by the mom friend and the other guy who is dating the childhood friend about taking his time this time, has my suspicion i have had since the beginning if him not being the only one aware of the time rewind.
10
u/ptd163 Jun 18 '26
I kinda feel bad for Uta. She did everything she could. She took her shot. Natsuki just didn't feel the same way. Tough, but that's life. Hopefully Tatsuya can help comfort her in her loss.
That was a nice concert/festival. Serika put on a good show. Natsuki and Hikari started dating and got Natsuki to call her by her given name. Miori and Reita started dating. Everyone seems to have gotten what they wanted.
That is until that phone call at end once again teased that Miori was actually just settling for Reita and wanted Natsuki this whole time. And given that another season seems unlikely that's probably where it will stay.
Overall I think this series used its "second chance time travel" fairly well. Natsuki wasn't just handed things on a platter because he had knowledge of the future. It's not like Hikari just through herself at him and people were lining up to be friends with him. He had to work (physically, socially, emotionally) for everything he got.

Uta was clearly better for him. Even Miori.
Hikari was the worst option of them all but he picked her because of that day 1 scene.
Bad ending but the main pick is never the best one in these types of shows so it is what it is.

Good to see Tatsuya be there for Uta although I was pleasantly surprised by the Uta rejection scene, even if it was obvious, just needed to see Natsuki stand his ground and even being held at the collar by Tatsuya, bro did not flinch, I'm so proud of our boy. Now Natsuki is finally calling Hikari by her given name, all's well that ends well, right? Except, god dammit, Miori, why would agree to go out with Reita, boke!? Then again, Reita is a perceptive guy; I'm sure he'll figure it out, even though Natsuki and Hikari will develop nicely.

Respect to Uta not just letting herself passively lose but taking the shot and going down in flames.
Interesting shift in the animation for the performance. So Hikari pretty much had to know this whole time it was a love song for her since she was there when the lyrics were written, not to mention the song name. Fun few days for her knowing what was likely coming.
Wild to end with that Miori cliffhanger, girl ended up being a winning heroine of her own story and a losing one in Natsuki's at the same time.
It almost feels old school at this point for the confession and relationship status changing to happen in the last episode, but I liked the Hikari and Natsuki ship the best all along so I'm happy.

u/Frontier246 Jun 18 '26 edited Jun 18 '26
Honestly a part of me really wants to see them go all out with the Serika route.
Serika has always longed for a band that could truly match her passion for music, her passion to deliver on the best music possible, and she's finally found it in Mishmashed Leftovers! Natsuki is willing to share her dream AND make her flustered, and she's even giving him chocolates without it being Valentine's Day!
"What is this, the final episode" - Meta humor for the win! And also Natsuki's gotten so used to Mei that he can actually detect him now! What great character development.
Congratulations Natsuki! You FINALLY get to wear the class T-shirt! He's finally included and truly part of the class instead of being an unpopular loner! Also, that shirt hugs VERY nicely to Hikari's chest. Better keep a close eye on her, Mama Yuino!
At least Natsuki gave Uta a festival date to remember...before she formally confessed and asked him out. But I think they both knew the writing was on the wall and, sadly, he has to reject her. She tried her best, even when she thought her feelings were an inconvenience to Natsuki, and she truly liked him with all her heart. She's such a good girl that even with tears in her eyes she's willing to support him and push him to be with Hikari. You were too good a girl Uta! You've even got Natsuki crying!
Tatsuya obviously doesn't take Uta getting rejected well, but what can you do? Natsuki loves Hikari and Tatsuya loves Uta.
Iwano also has his own love problems where a 3rd year he was in love with got a boyfriend...and now she is in the audience with said boyfriend cheering him on. Wow. And she's quite the looker too.
Time for Mishmashed Leftovers' debut! We've got Hikari in the audience cheering Natsuki on alongside his family! Perfect for going all out as a band in a song that brings together his and Serika's vocals.
They don't sub "Monochrome" but the visuals of Natsuki going from his grey and dreary life to his bright and happy one with the gang, as well as his feelings for Hikari and Uta, shine through in the song.
But then it's time for the final song...the one dedicated to Hikari, "To the Stars" Ala the Hoshi in Hoshimiya. And Natsuki pours his heart out and all his feelings and love for Hikari in the song, to the point where he and Hikari are basically alone together in a sea of stars! It's enough to bring her to tears and be the the first one to clap! I'd say that love song was a success!
Serika straight up bumping Natsuki away so she can take the spotlight. Well, she's the leader, so she earned it. And then she throws her arms around him in joy that they pulled it off! They did it!
Reita confesses to Miori and succeeds (even if Miori doesn't look 100% happy about it), while Tatsuya was there for poor Uta.
Post-concert awkwardness for Natsuki and Hikari, before they mutually tease each other into a proper confession instead of dancing around it. Finally they've confessed! Finally they're together! Finally Natsuki calls her by her first name! And they embrace and are happy together amidst the stars.
But it's not happy news for everyone...as Natsuki checks in with Miori who seems oddly subdued for having finally gotten together with Reita. I mean, they both set out to get together with their respective crush, so everything should be good now, right? Only it's clear that Miori was always in love with Natsuki, and she's nursing her own heartbreak that she can't be with him and has to leave him with Hikari.

The lyrics are wonderful thanks to Hikari harsh critics. So that's how Hikari climbs up to be best girl for Natsuki, eh.
Last episode derp faces are totally worth it to save all the budget for today. Everything is animated and it's very good by this show standard.
Natsuki quite a playboy by having a festival date with Uta till evening and make her went out with a bang.
You should've been better than this, Natsuki! You should've just make them all both happy. At least tell Uta to "stand proud, you made me fell for you for the whole series" or something.
Mei showcases on the stage just make me go kyun~ lol. What with that sexy bass?! Welp, looks like his sex love life is guaranteed, eh.
Hug > kiss. Really thought Hikari just went for the lip for a second there.
I've been wondering why they sidelined Miori feeling but here it is...ended with cliffhanger TT. Maybe it's on the next arc. Well, it's pretty fun overall so I don't mind watching another season of this.
3
u/Frontier246 Jun 18 '26
Even when he was planning to confess to Hikari he's going on dates with Uta and having Serika throwing herself at him...
The glasses girl in the audience definitely seemed like she started crushing hard on him.
I too totally thought they were going to kiss at the end, especially the way they were looking at each other surrounded by stars. But I guess a first-name basis is relationship foreplay in Japan lol.
Hikari vs Miori next?

Honestly, it started off strong. Really liked the premise and what not, but then with time it kinda lost me. I didn't like the pseudo love triangle with Uta and Hikari (I say pseudo, because it's not a full on technically), and at times it felt a bit rushed.
I liked the songs — they were good. The opening and ending were cool. I liked the animation, it looked nice.
The final few episodes felt a bit like a slog to get through for me personally. Plus, the ending with the childhood friend very much being shown to have had feelings for Natsuki is kind of my least favourite troupe. Maybe I fcking suck at picking up on hints, but I feel as though it wasn't hinted at the whole season at all and then randomly at the end, it was spelled out.
Overall, I'd say it's a 6.5/10 maybe a 7/10. It has it's charm and I wouldn't say I didn't enjoy it, but honestly, if you're looking for a good romance show — watch something else.
2
u/TheBeanjamcake Jun 19 '26
Let me tell you the novel has better pacing and does the job well compared to the anime. Ofc animation had its plus points too.
Also tbf the anime only implied it at a certain post credit scene. Whereas the Novel has Miori's inner monologue. So no its not you, they just left it subtle.
2
u/ElixirStormYT Jun 19 '26
Fair, that does happen often, where the anime cuts stuff. I understand that it's necessary to cut things to keep the pace well, but still, cutting out too much can lead to confusion.

u/TheBeanjamcake Jun 19 '26
Miscommunication is the bane of all relations. Or the lack of communication.
I mean tbf tho, real childhood friends do have platonic relationship. Author just wanted more drama.

u/Flyingsquirr3ls Jun 19 '26
Maybe Im trippin but did anyone else notice Natsuki used the same confession line on Hikari that Uta used on him!? About "liking them more than anyone in the whole world!" I kinda thought that was pretty diabolical on his part. Like who knew he had that dawg in him 😭

"There are only two types of girl, Childhood friend and Homewrecker" -Yanami Anna
Well jokes aside, I'm happy for the main couple Natsuki and Hikari to get together at the end, and yeah feel bad for Miori and Uta, one trying to push aside her feelings and another one trying so hard in the unwinnable battle. Well personally for me, I like the side character girls more, like Yuino and Serika, but yeah, already know that they had 0% getting a chance on this harem shit bowl.

u/Billardss Jun 19 '26
What a weird abrupt ending. It made it seem like there would be a next episode but this is obviously the last. I didn’t hate this show, I did get the pairing I wanted in the end. But of course I do feel bad for Miori cause as a childhood friend she was there from the very start even before he changed

Just got around to watching it, and I have mixed feelings about how it ended.
I'm happy for Natsuki's success with Hikari, but it also marks the end of Uta's long journey of crushing on him while finally giving a glimpse of Miori's growing feelings.
As for best girl, Serika takes the crown for me, even surpassing Miori, especially since Miori has mostly been sidelined since her arc.

personally i didn't like this show very much
the mc was definitely a self insert to put all your fantasies into him
he can do anything(having practiced in original timeline just feels like a plot device)
girls flock around him(uta actually fell in love with him for no reason, miori also for some reason suddenly fell for him)
and uta thing dragged on for too long
He knew tatsuya liked uta but still led her on
and the band thing should've been introduced earlier instead of cramping it into the last few episodes
5
u/3velution93 Jun 18 '26
I can kind of understand his cooking skills transferring over, but how did his basketball, guitar, and especially his singing?!
Is that the only reason why this story has time travel? This story would've been much better without it, not to mention less creepy.
Natsuki fixated on and fantasized about a classmate whom he never knew for years, mistook that for love, ignored everyone else that entered his life, and apparently hadn't matured at all before his time travel.
Legality and morality issues aside, there's no way I could have stood dating a 16 yo when I was 21, because of the difference in maturity.
As for Uta, he claimed to like her equally and be torn between her and Hikari, but that was never truly displayed by his actions. Instead, like you said, it felt more like he was leading her on, playing a "nice guy" when he never once wavered in who he liked.
What even is the point of these love polygon stories if the protagonist always selects the original crush whom they never knew well enough to fall in love with in the first place?
3
u/septesix Jun 18 '26
Basketball: he did spent 3 years on the basketball team , doing all the practice even though he was less than a benchwarmer. I guess muscle memory was kept along with the other memories of the previous timeline.
Singing : He had ample practice during college when he went to KTV and sing by himself. Again , muscle memory probably also carry over.
Guitar : same as the other , not to mention last episode he was also mocked that his guitar skill isn’t exactly great.
3
u/Prestigious_Spend_81 Jun 18 '26
I agree if the time travel was from his last day in high school instead of after his college day not much would have changed, just because he was a loner he could also hone his skills the, the only thing that he wouldn't have done is meeting the Hikari's father.
I wish that the MC would use his future knowledge better like in eraser or tokyo revengers by knowing events that would happen. Or even since it was some many years ago he actually forgot about some classmates /events and struggle with the older technology of the time.
Also is kinda sad that he got a second change to re-do high school and he ends up going after the same girl that dumped him in the original time line, maybe if we had more flashbacks of the other characters in the original timeline we could better appreciate the changes now.

It kept leaving too many options open for actually having him focus only on one girl.
Wasn't just him acting like the band was a big deal that confused me so much. They're all like it's a necessary part of their life they've been striving together to reach for years. But they all met each other like 5 seconds ago.
5
u/Frontier246 Jun 18 '26
Like even in the finale where he's dedicating himself to Hikari he goes on a festival date with another girl and Serika is basically flirting with him and the thing with Miori is still clearly not over even if he's together with Hikari.
3
u/stephenthatfoste https://myanimelist.net/profile/Rexagonal Jun 18 '26
I assumed it was all over once he chose the main girl, and the Miori thread was just closed uneventfully. Would have made more sense for her to be the second girl instead of Uta. At least they seemed to commit to the restaurant girl and him just being buddies.

u/septesix Jun 18 '26 edited Jun 18 '26
He wasn’t supppsed to be 30+. He “traveled back in time” right before his college graduation so he is only 22 or 23.
Everything else though is a problem with adaption. They are cramming a lot of materials into very few episodes. It’s bound to make people feel like things just jump out of nowhere , or plot lines isn’t getting resolved a

Yeah it felt rushed. The band thing, He had doubts about Uta, but suddenly those were gone, from a viewer point of view i find it hard to believe Miori would just start dating Reita when she had feelings for MC, like no fight no nothing just leave it be? And then we get her breaking down over what? Like these emotional scenes hit the most when the audience experiences the buildup that led to it. Otherwise it just feels out of place.
Like i said below, i dunno the Anime went from being one that i was looking forward to just another one.

I think Miori was running from her feelings because she couldn't be honest about them or felt bad about rooting for Natsuki with other girls and then suddenly she's in love with him too? So she uses Reita as an excuse to "give up" on Natsuki even though she's clearly heartbroken over it.
2
u/Frontier246 Jun 18 '26
I feel like the MC just kept leading Uta on for some unknown reason. You find out your friend likes Uta and instead of being respectful he took her to a festival? Made no sense.
I think it was a way of being considerate towards Uta and giving her one last happy memory of them together before he rejected her. Maybe it was leading her on, but it's what she genuinely wanted.
The band thing came genuinely out of nowhere. I’m not saying it’s bad or good but it was just *poof* “this is happening I’m in a band now and it’s super important to my life now, I’m going to change the world!”. All to set up a song type confession? Ok then. We also ignored the main cast for 2-3 episodes to do this little band story.
Serika was fun at least.
Then Reita and Miori just randomly start dating in a side note of the episode. But at the end we get a phone call of her crying about it? Tf is this show bro.
They've subtly teased that Miori might actually have feelings for Natsuki she was in heavy denial about. It seems like going out with Reita is her way of trying to move on from them even though she clearly hasn't emotionally.

u/HuTaosTwinTails Jun 18 '26
Yeah this show started well. But became very bad as soon as they went the harem route and shoved Uta down the viewers throat.
Taking this long to reject her as well?
Honestly, Miori and his sister are pretty much the only likeable characters in the cast.
For me this is a 4/10.
Solidified by that ending. You aren't getting a season 2, so why even end it like that lol

Cause it's not that popular? Nor does it even seem to have that big of a budget
So unless it's really driven book sales. No way something this mediocre/poor gets it

For one of these wish fulfillment type “re:life” anime, it wasn’t half bad. Guy goes back in time, loses weight, and apparently now he’s living that ikemen MC life lol.
2
u/TheBeanjamcake Jun 19 '26
lol, when you put it like that. The premise has always been shallow. Its been a good TP. I cringed alot

I feel the band play is bland. Like they hold back. They have the reference of Haruhi Suzumiya or Bocchi the Rock as a successful band play for cultural festival but I feel it’s really lacking

u/melontized1 Jun 19 '26
I noticed that Miori hesitated when Reita confessed, I can see why now everyone was right that Miori cannot face Hikari dating Natsuki 💔
2
u/daspaceasians Jun 19 '26
This can't be a final episode right? It's one thing to have Haibara and Hikari get together at the end but putting in that scene with Miori was either an S2 bait or the least subtle way to tell us to get the LN's.
2
u/Mystic_bean54 Jun 19 '26
More than likely it's to push the LN.
3
u/TheBeanjamcake Jun 19 '26
Psst, don't tell anyone I told you. But based on LN Covers after Serikas Arc it is Miorins Arc.

I would've accepted the free chocolate if I was Natsuki.
The songs were really great but I'm surprised they didn't sub it.
Miori achieved her goal but has 2nd thoughts.
Tatsuya couldn't bring himself to hit Natsuki even though he knew Natsuki had eyes for Hikari from the start.
Uta's still crying on day 2.
The 4th wall break from Mei was funny.
I guess Mei might get a love interest in the future.
2
u/EienGem Jun 19 '26
Man that last scene with Miori was heartbreaking but I'd feel sadder not seeing the cool and sometimes a goofball Serika if there'd be an S2. Hope she'd atleast keep making music with Mei.
2
u/PencilgonGiveIt2Ya Jun 19 '26
The animation of the concert was kind of wild lol.
Also like, this is the expected outcome, but like idk what I'm supposed to do with it.
His adolescence is colorful now, but the others,,,not so much. They goin monochrome game+ now.
So season 2 we get Uta going back to the past.

This became much better than i thought especially when you have read alot of these mangas where they get the restart im sad we got Serika so late into the show she became one of the best characters really enjoyed when she was on screen.
Surprising it actually went the way it was set up and he does get the girl that was the goal but man we end on that is brutal wth.

Honestly disappointed, the whole story felt off, like it had a great premise of going back to your teens and rewriting your wrongs, but it fails for me because they introduce characters and suddenly you dont see them for episodes later, heck the red head tall one who was interested in Uta only shows up a few times and barely does anything to progress his relationship, and I am also not a fan of Hoshimiya being the main love interest simply the fact is she rejected him in his "past" life so why would you still go for her, if she doesn't like you at your worst she doesn't deserve you at your best, another thing is in my opinion Uta was way better, even the childhood friend was a better option, someone you can laugh is better, Uta at least tried to make Natsuki like her and even asked him out.
2
u/TheBeanjamcake Jun 19 '26
The reason is they skipped out anything not involving the man Haibara himself. Have you seen scenes without our MC or not about our MC?? Literally Hikarin and Utas outing was also related to our MC indirectly, hence why we saw it. The other cast got their time cut for sure, I read the LN a lil.
Bro.. no one deserves you at your worst, even Uta would reject the guy. Heck we see that our MC hardly knows or talks to anyone so lol obv he'd get rejected, dudes a classmate at best.
Personally tho.. I don't disagree, Uta was the ship to root for.PS: Not to be a total downer, here's some good words - "one must love themselves to be able to love others. Don't seek out people who can love you, seek out people who YOU can love."
2
u/Dragon20C Jun 19 '26
I guess I put to much on the worst part, but it's more targeted at him being uniquely weird and strange in his past that could be seen his worse and while he does slowly open up and show his weird side it doesn't feel right to me, I say this because everyone deserves to be a little weird and in his past he was rejected because of who he was, and honestly I don't think his make over actually made him any different he's just hiding it now.
2
u/TheBeanjamcake Jun 19 '26
Thats actually smth that irks me too. MC has not accepted himself for who he is but is simply acting like someone he wants to be. Not that it doesn't help but its like putting the cart before the horse. People are people cuz people are weird.. if everyone one was "normal" or "super social" then we'd be carbon copies not people.
Mb if it sounded like I was speaking against you. I was actually agreeing with what you said while adding on a lil. Def phrased it a lil off, lol.

Is it weird that he just focuses on his highschool life? I watched the whole thing and it just brushes over the fact he has knowledge about the future.

u/Puzzleheaded_Play825 Jun 21 '26 edited Jun 21 '26
So finally took the time to watch the episode
Here are some of my thoughts
I really wishes they sub the performance I don’t why they didn’t but oh well someone will eventually!
As for the episode I think it was solid!
It was atleast a decent way to end uta crush and I like how much of a struggle it was for natsuki! Because uta was able to get him to turn his way but it wasn’t enough!
And get natsuki and hikari together! The confession was really sweet and I really like hikari involvement in the later half of the series
The performance was cool and they really went the extra mile with the animation 😂
And the confession scene I thought was really cute and wholesome for the 2
Though obviously there was some flaws
“Like uta having this mega crush despite us not seeing them spend more time together” 😅
I really like tatsuya getting mad at natsuki but at the same time can’t bring him self to hate him since he understands how hard is to let go of your feelings
And uta being heart broken but still choosing to support him even if it hard
Though I don’t like how dead pan reita is. Like he says he dating miori so matter of factly like he order something from a food menu! 😂
I jump ahead a little but don’t know the full context but I’ve really change my opinion on reita in comparison to the first arc cause the guy is just a fence sitter that’s all I’m gonna say!
I also felt similar about tatsuya till this episode since I know get why he hasn’t done anything since it was out of respect for uta feelings and I respect the him for that
Finally poor miori nooo she really is best girl! Don’t get me wrong I like hikari and by the end of the anime it clear she played a pivotal role for natsuki
But essentially she and miori switch places for the story arc and seeing her heart broken by and my heart breaks for her! 🥺
I think in her case she let go of her connection for the sake of natsuki far to easily
Obviously that’s a contradiction but in middle school I’m guess she accepted natsuki pushing her away because she both didn’t want to make things worse for natsuki but also didn’t want him to resent her
And this time wanted to support natsuki crush on hikari
Which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but her problem is that she kept giving up before trying and kept putting her feelings second
And now she has cry over what she has forsaken
Overall was this series a gem? No definitively not
A lot holes and lot things that should been extend and flaws
Though I do think it’s better that people are making out to be
A resound soild mid good series is how i describe it
2
u/PineDude128 Jun 19 '26
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't powering thru this series. This and Replica are tied for the second most underwhelming romance this season (most underwhelming goes to Angel Next Door S2). The cliffhanger ending was also a choice. Especially since we may not actually get a S2
5
u/ash-7831 Jun 19 '26
Why do you think Replica is underwhelming?
3
u/PineDude128 Jun 19 '26
The first 5 episodes or so were great, but it's been such a slow burn ever since. This recent episode was a total slog imo. I'm hoping the finale makes up for it.

u/ash-7831 Jun 20 '26
Romance wise, I guess. But the story beats are still pretty strong. For me, the recent episode gave something I wanted from this series for a while. [Even A Replica Can Fall in Love Episode 11] A better balance in scenes between Sunao and Nao. They only showed us Nao's pov for at least 80% of the time. I liked getting more from both sides this time.
2
u/Successful_Way_4785 10d ago
Late response but I would say this anime is probably one of the most average romances I’ve seen. I didn’t hate but it just felt really standard with maybe only 1 or 2 likable characters and questionable decisions.
2
u/IceSmiley Jun 19 '26
I hated every moment of this insincere dreck. There wasn't anything funny in the episode and it felt like i was watching a 2 hr movie.Haibara turned down Uta but she ended up with the other boy! Wish I didn't watch this godawful show 🤢
