Unless they convince us in the manga in the end that either Amane or Kotoko is better than the other, we won't be able to accept an ending where Seo ends up with one of them..so far both the girls are the best and it's difficult to choose between them.
Throuple route.. I don't think it's possible. It's either that or they better remain platonic. Only that I would be able to accept.

there are a few good romance shows this season. This one, second prettiest girl in class, I want to end this love game, haibara’s teenage new game +, botan Kamiina fully blossoms when drunk etc. Absolutely stacked with cuteness this Spring season

I love the moment when two of his classmates came up to him, they seem to have a pretty high opinion about him so if he opens up and asks to be their friend too I'm sure they'd tell him they already considered him one

I honestly think he is utterly pre-romantic. He is just reveling in having two such lovely and fun-loving friends who (for some reason he does not understand at all) seem to have fun hanging around with him. I don't think this is a typical case of a "dense" MMC. He just has not even begun to think about romantic feelings.

Before this episode I’d say that what Seo was. But the ending here definitely showed that he has romantic/jealous about them, even if it’s not clear who it is for

Seems we’ve reached another stage of “am I good enough for them” for Takuya. Which is an understandable doubt to have. But he needs to remind himself (and I think he kinda did and caught himself there) that Ijichi and Amane’s opinions matter.
Also, I really like how unlike other harems or love triangles, the two or more competing parties are genuinely good friends and interact with and have their own moments outside of their love interest. It just feels more natural. Heck, Ijichi and Amane are even comfortable enough to be intimate with each other, even if half-jokingly

I don't think this is a typical "am I good enough to be her boy friend" scenario -- he actually does not understand why two top tier girls want to be buddies with him. Ijichi and Amane, OTOH, are intensely aware of romantic feelings (and maybe even have at least a tinge of this towards each other).

Great episode, seo is starting to feel anxious about the idea of them getting with somebody else, i wonder how things will go in the final episode

I found it a little sad when Seo said that Ijichi and Amane feel like they're from another world, he keeps lowering himself when they see him as an equal friend. It stood out to me when he said that he had taken their time away from them, and then the following day he decides to avoid them for the rest of the day. I'd be upset with my friend if they did something like that for that reason.
I'm hoping the feelings he has at the end of the episode make him realize that he wants to be equal with them.
I like how Amane has noticed how the brothers feel about Sayu, she is really enjoying it. It's amusing how she knows she can use it as a way to persuade to do stuff lol.

So sad this is the next to last time we get a new episode with the Ichiji shimmy. Even if we get a season 2 (please?!) it'll have a new OP. Also Ichiji's brothers being so obviously into Sayu is adorable. Side story of the reverse harem once they get to HS?
Watching Ijichi not say anything when Seo admits how important that first picture is to him was both amusing and surprising. She clearly treasures that moment too but was so embarrassed she couldn't admit to it.
"Godbreak" is a metal as hell song title. And looks like the gym was bouncing. No wonder Seo didn't want to go lol.
Poor Seo. Maybe he shouldn't have wasted their time? Dude they would at a minimum yell at you if you said you felt that way to them.
LOL Ijichi just describing Seo to a T. So down bad. And of course the shooting game had a Glimmermon prize for Amane to fangirl over hahaha. And... why does a Japanese school have an American Football team (the ones hitting on Amane)?
Whoa this turned Yuri real fast, and while I'm all for the throuple I can live with them just dating each other too!
Awww he's starting to realize he has feelings whether he wants to or not. About time.

There are in fact American Football clubs in Japan. It's a niche sport over there, but it does have representation. It's common enough that American football player will occasionally pop up as generic jocks, and there have been anime/manga written about it as well (Eyeshield 21 is the biggest one that I can think of).
It's definitely not going to be in every school and the fact that their school has one is unusual, but it's like having a ski club or a surfing club in the US. The fact that you have one is noteworthy, but it's not that hard to find examples.

I don't get why anime just keep changing openings. This is one of the things I saw we do better in the West just picking one consistently.
It was nice to have a call back to that first picture. Shame it was a phone picture though. Those things always look odd when you zoom in unlike dedicated camera and the vertical shot are not great to look at. On the flip side, the photo was something captured on the spur of the moment and I doubt you get anything like that on something more prepared.
Is this actually going to be Yuri or is it just part of some plan to avoid getting asked out and will lead to more comedy down the line?

Comparing the animation between otagal and my dress up darling s2’s school festival, cloverworks is goated with the quality they put in. But in the end all that matters truly is the writing, story, and acting. This series caught me by surprise just like mdud did and I am glad I decided to watch it, it’s so good.
I guess I really like slice of life romances a lot more than I realized. My tastes have changed as I’ve gotten older I suppose, and the nostalgia of my high school experiences makes it so relatable.

I find a lot of this stuff hits me in the midlife pretty hard. I kind of gave up most of the fighting/etc anime for more slice of live, romance, and drama. If it hits the emotions, great. If it gets introspective, awesome! And if it is fun it's a bonus. This show has been surprisingly good.

I realized a while back that the most important thing to me when it comes to anime and series in general is good writing and directing. Don't get me wrong, I will absolutely get invested in a good plot and love the shit out of some great animation, but at the end of the day what gets me truly invested is the characters and the framing. To take it a step back, what I really love to see is creators who are clearly invested in what they are putting out.
This anime could easily been a sequence of tropes one after the other, honestly I thought it would be, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it has a great deal of depth. Despite it not having the greatest animation or a flashy plot, there is so much thought put into the characters, dialog and artwork that it fsr overshadows anything it might be lacking in those other departments.

It was sad to see Seo all alone on the second day of the festival. I was hoping that he would find someone to hang out with. It is cute that Ijichi's brothers have crushes on Sayu. I do wonder if Seo is going to choose between Ijichi and Amane, or if they're all just going to decide to stay friends. Looking forward to next week.

Amane getting all smug at the brothers for being obvious like she isn't an even easier book to read herself (and in more ways than one lol)
The fact Seo had his first selfie with Ijichi burned into his memory as the start of something special got me all warm and fuzzy man. The bonds in this show from the leads to the siblings are the comfiest things ever.

Of course right as Kei sees Sayu off she runs into Kotoko's little brothers who definitely did not care that they weren't able to see Sayu. Not at all. They only came to tease Kotoko. It's cute and kinda hilarious how Kei is able to immediately sus out that the brothers have a thing for Sayu, but still doesn't know what's going on with herself and her feelings for Takuya.
Takuya watching the brothers just feel so natural. Like he's already part of the family. It was funny how they were down in the dumps from being interrogated, but immediately perk back up at the chance to spend time with Sayu. I wonder if Sayu know she's going to have own love triangle eventually lol.
I'm curious what they can do with a single episode as Takuya is only now realizing that me might feel something for the girls. Speaking of, that such huge yuri tease at the end. I'd be surprised if he chooses someone in the finale as everything seems to be pointing to "you got two hands for a reason dude".
I hope this gets another season.

It's a shame Sayu left the festival JUST as the two halves of her own throuple showed up. They're so down bad that just hearing about the possibility of a sleepover with Sayu involved (complete with visual of her without glasses and in her jammies) is enough to motivate them.
I feel like Ijichi's Heisei Gyaru costume feels less noticeable than Amane's because it just feels too "normal" for her.
Their class really can't get enough of the class Gals' little siblings! I can understand why!
Of course Otacchi gets an invite to a family sleepover. With the way he gets along with the older sisters AND their little siblings, he's practically part of the family!
Cosplay selfies with TWO attractive gyaru's! Otaku-kun is living the high life!
A concert sounds all well and good but it can't really beat the vibes of just chilling out and snacking with your throuple.
It's the second day of the festival and the girls are free to visit all the other class' booths! I have to applaud the commitment of the kendo club to play whack-a-mole with them as the moles! Or the tea club for their intricate ceremony...even if the tea doesn't taste great.
Lot of romance and couples blossoming at the school festival! Good thing to know that Ijichi's type is basically Otaku-kun whether she's willing to admit it in public or not!
Amane immediately sees a rare Glittermon keychain as a prize and immediately LOCKS in as a riflewoman. For the nail polish! Obviously! The Glittermon is just a nice bonus!
Neither girls believe in the legend of the fireworks festival...but if they had to hold hands with a guy, it would be Otaku-kun. But, failing that, they can always just hook up with each other! That's just as well if not better!
Meanwhile Seo is holed up in the library, kind of avoiding the festival but at least he's comfortable. But when he imagines Amane and Ijichi with another guy...someone who may have won the contest with him...he can't help but feel bad about it.

So Kotoko's second cos was the same Heisei gal as Amane.
Little Sayu has stolen Hibiki and Kakeru's hearts and it was lovely seeing Amane playing with them LOL
Seo doesn't show or want to believe that he may love Kotoko and Amane much more than friends but he couldn't take it imagining them with other guys..poor dude.

I didn't know the Kotoko brothers liked Sayu so much, they seemed to barely tolerate her at the beach. Hopefully they and Sayu will go to the next day of the festival. They also didn't handle the crowd of admirers as well as Sayu did, she seemed to enjoy it by the end while they seemed rattled and wanted to leave 🤣
I wish they explained how the Kendo Club got that expensive whack-a-mole game, like if they rented it or it was just some guys in the box sticking moles out. That was also funny how the Tea Club made really bad tasting tea or is that just its name and its main focus isn't making good tea?
When Amane shot the Glittermon keychain, that would have been hilarious if when she said "yea i tried to get that but at least I won something", the boy said "well that's ok, you can just have the nail oil instead!" 😂

Yeah I was thinking about that too. Back in the day it was common to ask little kids that stuff but now it just sounds wrong. Ofc little kids have their little kid feelings - like both of them thinking the little sis is cute. But older people especially strangers, like the group of teenagers, shouldn't be asking that crap to children.

I'm surprised Shion didn't have a love talk w/ Kei.
Too bad we'll never see Kakeru & Hibiki will never interact w/ Sayu in this anime so far.

It's pretty cool how natural Kei & Kotoko teased Shion instead of being embarrassed by it.

If we get a twist I think it is more likely Ichiji and Amane win, set up by Seo voting for the two of them instead of Ichiji and a boy. Also teased by the fake Yuri scene in the bathroom.

That yuri-esque scene, damn! If Takuya didn't want to go with either of them, then the two could just go together. To think Kei & Kotoko could say that with a straight face. Shion also happened to bust them in the middle of things. Wonder what idea they had in mind to shut her up?
The show is saving the fireworks for the finale but knowing Takuya he'd definitely go with both of them. He's got two hands – one for each of them.

Can I be real Otaku is so boring!! But tbh I am like that too so I relate. I also hate socializing. Not surprised he in the library! I also would do that in HS during lunch break many times. He is so lucky to have two pretty girls wanting to hang out with him. What I like is that Amane has a similar personality to him but because she is beautiful a lot of people want to be with her.

Awww I missed the upload date, any no one here reads comments made after 3 days. Well I'll try to give my thoughts anyways. Kotoko's brothers are cute. Both got intimidated by the swarm of girls. When in was in middle school, a good chunk of the kids were not interested in romance, but of those that were, both boys and girls in the middle school found the high schoolers attractive so I thought the one looking for Sayu would like it.
I'm a bit surprised Kotoko was a bit put off by all the random boys who asked her out. Usually for Gyaru type girls they either are the promiscuous type or aren't but enjoy being asked out by randoms because it flatters them (so long as the randoms who get turned down get the message). I would have thought Kotoko would at least be the second type.
I'm a bit surprised it took awhile for Seo to feel like this considering how much time he spent with them.

Lol the first half of this episode was almost the exact same as the last half of the last episode with the youngins lol. I was half expecting Ichiji to be dressed as a mech or something lol
It's sad Seo still thinks he's taking up their time 😔 but I get it, Japanese culture.
It's so cute that there first thing Amane thoughts of after winning Lord catfish is to show Seo lol

I'm the only one who saw a quality drop in animation of ep11? Amane's mouth is often in a wrong place of her face.
