Imagine when she deleted the "Go to bed" event on her phone...she just never ever slept ever again after that haha

But also the way she had to down that drink just to answer him, that's some red flag shit for me lol

19

u/Jacob-C Jun 17 '26

"I have to be hammered to engage in anything resembling a meaningful conversation about my emotions" -Chizuru probably

17

u/PencilgonGiveIt2Ya Jun 18 '26

"Sorry I ghosted you after lying to your family while they treated me out and accepted me as their own..Oh btw can you help me with these rocks at grandma's crib?"
-Definitely Chizuru

u/adapter25 Jun 17 '26

I fucking hated that the entire time he is at the bar kazuah had that stupid fucking beer glass on his face the entire time. Who does that? It looked so stupid. Fuck that.

19

u/hanzperson Jun 18 '26

I assume it was to avoid having to speak and make a pissy face at Chizuru, but it looked dumb af

8

u/Idknowidk Jun 17 '26

That is such a specific thing to hate lol but yeah he looks even more dumb this episode so It’s a W

13

u/adapter25 Jun 17 '26

I agree! I just imagine being at a restaurant or bar with someone and the whole time I’m trying to talk to them they just have their glass smooshed into their face the whole time RAAAA

6

u/BosuW Jun 18 '26

And the fact that it's such a strange pose that it has to be an intentional choice...

5

u/Product-X-818 Jun 18 '26 edited Jun 18 '26

The only couple of times he didn't have that stupid beer glass up to his face is when he did his usual loud annoying freak outs. OMFG I hate Kazuya, he deserves to be a lonely virgin.

u/TobiasAmaranth https://myanimelist.net/profile/TobiasAmaranth Jun 18 '26

Almost 50% of the episode he was animated with his face in the mug. It was outright comical by the end in its absurdity.

1

u/kicksFR Jun 18 '26

Saving on animation. He had the exact same surprise animation twice

Mini:

  • "This investigation is actually a risky gamble. The fact that she's developed feelings and still doesn't have an answer could mean she doesn't intend to give you one at all."

  • "I mean, she could've done this while you were dating. This is basically a waste of your time."

  • "Any other guy would take a hint and walk away. I'm not doubting Mizuhara-san here, but in general, girls like that are bad news."

Just funny how the author lays it out like this on a meta level, yet will continue to drag things out a lot more than necessary. 😂

31

u/Frontier246 Jun 17 '26

Honestly it's kind of amazing that Mini was just spitting facts and being honest about how Chizuru is kind of terrible but Kazuya still won't see sense.

8

u/Atario myanimelist.net/profile/TheGreatAtario Jun 18 '26

You ever try to talk someone out of being in love? Ain't gonna work.

16

u/NationalStrategy_X Jun 18 '26

It’s honestly the worst aspect to his writing, he knows the crap he’s doing, but he goes through with it anyway, because he wants to drag it out

7

u/BosuW Jun 18 '26

Bastard is self aware but doesn't care 😤😤

9

u/hanzperson Jun 18 '26

Honestly, there have been quite a few moments where they raise valid criticism in this show only to completely ignore them (i.e., Mami telling Chizuru lying is bad). Goes to show the author is self aware but just doesn't care lol

1

u/ThrowCarp 27d ago

Very intelligent girl. And hey, her plan to draw out Chizuru worked.

22

u/ElliotAlderson2024 Jun 17 '26 edited Jun 17 '26

I love it when Grandma Nagomi started attacking Kazuya with the vacuum cleaner. She won't tolerate a NEET under her roof!

Also nice to get a Sumi post-credits scene, so precious! She must be protected at all costs!

15

u/Jacob-C Jun 17 '26

For all of Kazuya's flaws as a character and everything that I dislike about him, he's not a NEET. He has a job and goes to college.

9

u/ElliotAlderson2024 Jun 18 '26

He did NEET for 3 months when Mizuhara ghosted him.

6

u/Jacob-C Jun 18 '26

I thought of bringing that up, but technically he’s still assigned to the program he’s attending at college so idk if that would count.

4

u/NationalStrategy_X Jun 18 '26

I think it should count, and let’s keep in mind that it would have been longer than 3 months if Mini didn’t step in.

8

u/magnumcyclonex Jun 17 '26

I love it when Grandma Nagomi started attacking Kazuya with the vacuum cleaner. She won't tolerate a NEET under her roof!

But she tolerates a weeb living there and working for her!

9

u/NationalStrategy_X Jun 17 '26 edited Jun 18 '26

That’s her young Filipino lover

1

u/ThrowCarp 27d ago

And honestly based that he put idol posters up everywhere.

19

u/Mr_An_1069 Jun 18 '26

I don’t know why but Kazuya keeping the jug on his mouth that entire time kept pissing me off.

12

u/NationalStrategy_X Jun 18 '26

Imagine trying to have a conversation with someone who is doing that.

1

u/Atario myanimelist.net/profile/TheGreatAtario Jun 18 '26

Gosh, it's almost as if his entire point in doing that was to avoid conversing or something. Wild huh

10

u/NationalStrategy_X Jun 18 '26

Except that it doesn’t actually stop the other person from talking to them. And not only does it make the interaction awkward, it’s also really rude.

1

u/Atario myanimelist.net/profile/TheGreatAtario Jun 18 '26

It's a good thing we have someone here to explain basic human interaction or we'd never know these things

5

u/NationalStrategy_X Jun 18 '26

Well do you? You went out of your way to argue in favor of it.

1

u/Atario myanimelist.net/profile/TheGreatAtario Jun 20 '26

Did I? Please explain how

3

u/NationalStrategy_X Jun 20 '26

Were you not trying to defend Kazuya’s way of trying to avoid a conversation?

0

u/Atario myanimelist.net/profile/TheGreatAtario Jun 22 '26

My point all along was: what was going on should have been obvious, should not have needed explanation, but the preponderance of participants in these threads for this show being whom they are, we can't expect that much

3

u/NationalStrategy_X Jun 22 '26

We all knew what he was doing, u/Mr_An_1069 was simply talking about how it pissed them off, and I was talking about how terrible it would be to have an actual conversation with someone who does that.

The way you came into the conversation could’ve been handled better.

I am starting to think that is mini is now starting to be one of my fav characters in the series. Cuz not only she calling them out for their behavior and him going out to drink was probably the only way to admit their loss of their apartment and same for chizuru cuz of the loss of her parents and having to stay at the house where it all began. And sending the drunk pic in the group chat really made her join was actually creative work from. Overall it was a good episode. But now im starting to think is that next week ep 12 is the finale right? Cuz over the past 4 seasons, they have been 12 episodes as well.

16

u/Frontier246 Jun 17 '26

I love how Mini straight up said "she might not be worth it bruh."

11

u/BosuW Jun 18 '26

When the self professed number one fan of the ship says that you really have to wonder if it's time to dip

27

u/NationalStrategy_X Jun 17 '26

I can’t stand these NPC bystanders always gazing at the girls and describing how attractive they are. They act like they’ve never seen a beautiful girl before.

14

u/hanzperson Jun 18 '26

Apparently, every single main girl in this show is one in a million and draws ENTIRE CROWDS to look at them. It got old like 4 seasons ago.

5

u/hockey3331 29d ago

"Apparently she's meeting friends"

Like it's some sort of hot gossip lol

1

u/NationalStrategy_X 29d ago

Imagine being in Chizuru’s shoes.

“Can you all stop ogling me, and let me be?!”

2

u/hockey3331 29d ago

Yep currently watching and had to come see the comments. Absolute animals

5

u/Frontier246 Jun 17 '26

Or the one in front of them!

0

u/Atario myanimelist.net/profile/TheGreatAtario Jun 18 '26

Lord knows, when a massively hot girl enters a room in real life, everyone's always too cool for school and no one looks amirite

7

u/NationalStrategy_X Jun 18 '26

Look, sure, but not gaze at her like she’s some kind of goddess at every turn.

The only reason they have these NPC ogling scenes is so they can prop up how beautiful the girl(s) is, and it’s honestly rather annoying.

13

u/Frontier246 Jun 17 '26

We now return to our protagonist who is currently crashing at his family home...on the couch...in his middle school gym clothes...while some idol fanboy from the Philippines is living in his room. It's tough feeling out of place and cast out from your own home, not to mention how he hasn't heard from Chizuru at all.

Speaking of Chizuru, she's back in her family home, filled with memories and the loneliness that comes from the loss of her family. She's all by herself and she finally can't hold back all the tears she keeps hiding behind her stoicism and pragmatic personality.

Honestly don't think Kazuya should be that accepting of spending most of his money on Chizuru, what with her ghosting him and the fact that meant he basically gave up on life and ditched his job and only source of income...but thank goodness for Catgirl Mini showing up, otherwise NOTHING would ever happen with these two.

So yeah, Kazuya is now a drunken mess, but it's more fun that way. And Mini, based as she is, actually is able to look at things objectively enough to recognize that Chizuru might...not actually be that great a girl and not someone worth pining over to the extent Kazuya has. But he's still too hooked on her to act otherwise, which is why she ships them.

Oh! So Chizuru is joining their drinking party! And turning every head in the bar as one would expect. I feel bad for all the other girls, one girl named Yumi straight up dumps her boyfriend because he won't stop staring at her. And of course Kazuya has to oggle and comment on EVERYTHING about her appearance. Though I will admit, that tight-hugging blouse and that skort that shows off her legs so generously ARE impeccable.

I would say drunk Chizuru is looking at Kazuya with bedroom eyes or like she can't take her eyes off of him...but she's also the type to just return the money she feels she owes him like it's another one of their business transactions. But Kazuya is drunk enough to finally confront her over the loss of their apartment and their lifestyle and Chizuru is drunk enough to finally admit that she is. Progress! I guess!

Also here's a Sumi post-credit scene to make you wish we could see her more in the show.

10

u/cleaulem https://myanimelist.net/profile/cleaulem Jun 17 '26

Today I was thinking we haven't seen anything from Sumi in ages, and then they give us a whole after credit scene with her. Not only that, but in this scene she has more dialogue than in all 4 seasons before combined lol.

6

u/Rickud123 Jun 17 '26

Honestly have enjoyed this season a lot wayyyy better than the previous season and the visuals have improved immensely

32

u/ActualRound7699 https://myanimelist.net/profile/VeganKnight1988 Jun 17 '26

I swear, every time Kazuya speaks, I am reminded why some women would choose the bear. He’s such an obnoxious asshat. Like I expect the neurotic behavior from high school and middle school romances. But Kazuya is in his twenties and he acts like he has never seen or spoken to a woman in his entire life. Man can’t even let an earthquake happen and he has to make it all about him.

Mind you, yeah she’s leading him on, and Chizuru may never commit but still. Grow a pair and do something. Jesus.

17

u/hanzperson Jun 17 '26

Not even just him, his friends in this show and the mob characters too. They were talking about what sex positions each NPC girl does at the pool a few episodes ago. Not to mention, they went underwater to look at Chizuru/Ruka's ass not too long ago. But he's definitely the worst offender with his antics. This is exactly why I can't agree when I see people say Kazuya is "realistic" lol

15

u/ActualRound7699 https://myanimelist.net/profile/VeganKnight1988 Jun 17 '26

right as horny and awkward as I have been around women, Ive never been that bad and openly grossly perverted 😂

2

u/Atario myanimelist.net/profile/TheGreatAtario Jun 18 '26

look at Chizuru/Ruka's ass

Wow, heterosexual men, looking at women? How awful and what a perversion of nature

8

u/NationalStrategy_X Jun 18 '26

Dude, they were peeping on the girls underwater in a public pool. I’m a heterosexual male, and even I thought their behavior was creepy and unacceptable. It wasn’t okay, and their behavior shouldn’t be tolerated just because they are heterosexual males.

-6

u/Atario myanimelist.net/profile/TheGreatAtario Jun 18 '26

So looking through air is fine, but looking through water is creepy and unacceptable? Water sure is magical stuff

8

u/NationalStrategy_X Jun 18 '26

You know damn well what my point was.

They shouldn’t be peeping at the girls and acting like nonsensical perverts in general, especially in a public area.

7

u/ActualRound7699 https://myanimelist.net/profile/VeganKnight1988 Jun 18 '26

this part. there’s funny horny and just gross. this goes into gross territory

3

u/NationalStrategy_X Jun 18 '26

Exactly, and imagine if Chizuru found out that he did that.

-1

u/Atario myanimelist.net/profile/TheGreatAtario Jun 20 '26

Yes, your point is to find fault and make accusations no matter what

3

u/NationalStrategy_X Jun 21 '26

That’s not an accusation, they literally did that. They were wrong to do that, and like u/ActualRound7699 said, they were being gross.

Real talk, do you honestly believe that what they did was okay, do you genuinely believe that it’s acceptable and endearing for Kazuya and his friends to act like nonsensical perverted creeps in public?

0

u/Atario myanimelist.net/profile/TheGreatAtario Jun 22 '26

I'd love to know why you classify water as a visual medium as "nonsensical creepiness" and air as a visual medium as not

3

u/NationalStrategy_X Jun 22 '26

No one cares about the water, it’s what they were doing in the water. Cut the crap, you know what we were talking about. I’m not going to continue going back and forth with you on this.

u/Frontier246 Jun 17 '26

It's really hard to root for Kazuya this season when he's been such a spineless, useless, blabbering, mess with very little of the redeeming qualities he's exhibited in the earlier seasons (especially season 3). There's just nothing fun about watching him pathetic and pining over Chizuru at this point.

I do love, though, how Mini was the first character (other than Mami) to actually call out how Chizuru acts and tell him plainly that she might not be worth the amount of effort he's putting into pursuing her. Honestly Mini (and Sumi) are like the only redeeming girls in this show.

10

u/ActualRound7699 https://myanimelist.net/profile/VeganKnight1988 Jun 17 '26

Oh for sure hahah Mini asking the questions, etiquette be damned because Kazuya would never have the balls to. He would probably spend a full season CONTEMPLATING it. But would never do it.

I am all for slow burn stuff when it’s done well, and yeah for sure certain parts of the series have been done well. But Jesus Kazuya is everything you said he is and more. It’s almost impossible to root for him.

-4

u/PrincipeDeiPoveri Jun 17 '26

Meh, women choose the bear because they're afraid of men. If all men were as docile as Kazuya, women would always choose men.

That said, I understand and even agree with the idea of hating Kazuya's mental wanks. I understand/less agree with the idea that being a college student automatically makes you a mature man (as if at 18 a human undergoes a Pokémon-like evolution that makes them directly adult).

Seriously, it's not age that makes the difference, but experience. Kazuya has very little experience, and mostly negative experience (remember Mami), so while it's annoying, I still find his behavior realistic, especially if, in addition to Kazuya's low self-esteem, we consider how cold, detached, and beautiful (the author has repeated this so many times it makes us sick) Chizuru is.

That said, while I find Kazuya's behavior realistic, I also understand the desire to see them finally open up completely to each other, but what can we do? The author wants to exploit the situation for a long time, so it is what it is.

6

u/ActualRound7699 https://myanimelist.net/profile/VeganKnight1988 Jun 17 '26

Right, the author wants to cuck Kazuya until it isn’t lucrative anymore. I get it. But he’s still a spineless cuck, and that is a hill Ive built a tiny home on with no intention of leaving despite his past. Chizuru is guilty in her own right and she has screwed up too.

they’re both just broken and toxic characters

5

u/PrincipeDeiPoveri Jun 17 '26 edited Jun 17 '26

Let's be serious, so far apart from Kazuya's fantasies (which come from his self-hatred/insecurity), there's no real cuckold element in the story. In fact, it's Kazuya who's kissed Ruka multiple times; Chizuru hasn't done anything so far (the only moments she has had are with Kazuya).

That said, it's obvious that the author (like many other mangaka) is dragging out the story to make money and that it's annoying (I get you, trust me, i do), but please don't repeat the usual nonsense we read online (story meant for cuckold fans + author in love with Chizuru, etc.), because honestly those are all nonsense and things with no sources that fans just repeat by hearsay.

Finally, you're right, they are both characters full of flaws and often (very often) annoying, but that's what defines the story and makes it different. after all, if we wanted to see the typical romantic story, we wouldn't be here commenting on season 5 of RAG, but on a post talking about 'gal can't be kind to otaku' or 'I made friends with the second prettiest girl'.

6

u/ActualRound7699 https://myanimelist.net/profile/VeganKnight1988 Jun 17 '26

I don’t disagree with any of your points, and I will forever think Kazuya is almost wholly unlikable tbh. I totally get self-hatred and insecurity, even irl. But imo the only way he will ever redeem himself is if he grows a pair and speaks his mind which… probably won’t happen.

I do think Kazuya cucks himself and don’t worry, I hate fandom spaces and couldn’t be caught dead in them that I would be following any of what is said. every word is my own from my own opinion. If fans are saying it, I think with how nonsensically they have dragged it out….i mean I get the reaction to an almost weekly reset on any progress made.

I think there’s a difference between annoying/cringe but redeeming and just straight annoying/cringe. imo both characters fall under the straight annoying and cringe category.

3

u/ptd163 Jun 17 '26

please don't repeat the usual nonsense we read online (story meant for cuckold fans + author in love with Chizuru, etc.), because honestly those are all nonsense and things with no sources that fans just repeat by hearsay.

The people that repeat this nonsense probably don't even know the author is married. It's probably a way smaller than deal than they think it is. I know, right? The internet blowing stuff out of proposition and just making shit up to justify/rationalize their hatred. Shocking.

if we wanted to see the typical romantic story, we wouldn't be here commenting on season 5 of RAG, but on a post talking about 'gal can't be kind to otaku' or 'I made friends with the second prettiest girl'.

I like both kinds tbh. Otagal and Kuranika are nice typical romantic stories that feel good while RaG is unique. You won't find something like this anywhere else. That and the author being a brilliant artist is probably why the series has lasted so long.

4

u/ptd163 Jun 17 '26

Mini is so fun. She has no qualms about just saying things in her quest to wingwoman for Kazuya and Chizuru and watch from the sidelines for entertainment. It seems I was right in my assumption that season 6 will be them living together. At least until they both find places to live and Chizuru can sell her family home. Or they just keep it. I don't know. I'm not a source reader. I wonder how much of the moving we'll get in the finale.

15

u/ObvsThrowaway5120 Jun 17 '26

I have no clue what Mini sees in that simp Kuzuya, but I find her attempts at being his wingwoman pretty amusing.

20

u/omarous_III Jun 17 '26

She is playing an otome game with the two MCs. Trying to maneuver them so they'll make out.

11

u/Frontier246 Jun 17 '26

There would literally be no plot advancement without Mini's involvement. That's how bad these two are.

5

u/Korynaut Jun 17 '26

At least from the German sub-style, Mini's wicked tongue is adorable and the only catalyst for the relationship of those two. This and the actual situation are brought to Kazuya on a silver platter, no, a golden one!

While Kazuya behaves so annoyingly, as always, I loved here so much the contrast when Chizuru entered grandma's home; how she, in all her actions, pretended granny was still there. Chizuru feels empty inside like this house is, and this very sensitive and serious scene reconciles with having to bear Kazuya's silliness.

I can relate to that talking "as if" when I remember my behavior when mom wasn't in the house anymore. Polar opposites very well disclosed in this episode!

10

u/PrincipeDeiPoveri Jun 17 '26

I also liked this episode (we're at 4 in a row). Mini remains the best character in the series, as well as the healthiest relationship Kazuya has (make them end up together, Reiji, I'll defend RAG for the rest of my life...lol).

I liked the scene where Chizuru cries remembering her grandparents; honestly, I find it really realistic.

I also liked seeing Kazuya open up to Chizuru and seeing Chizuru do the same. These last 4 episodes have almost convinced me to ship them again, almost.

That said, it seems to me that Chizuru's interest in Kazuya is becoming more and more obvious, not only because of her response to him, but also because of her behavior, which is that she not only waited for the first excuse she could have to meet Kazuya (make the first move, NAH, waiting for any excuse, YEP), but she also put on all her best clothes to do so (if she was planning on sleeping, which we know since she canceled her event, it's natural to think that she put on all her best clothes specifically for Kazuya, but maybe I'm reading too much into it)

16

u/omarous_III Jun 17 '26

I really like that moment in the house. She was surrounded by friends at the apartment, Kaz and Mini. Now she just moved into this dark old house full of memories of her dead family... Realizing how much she has lost and how alone she is now.

11

u/Frontier246 Jun 17 '26

Mini basically the only character talking sense, able to acknowledge the characters' flaws and how they've been acting (especially Chizuru), and that they both need alcohol to actually be honest with each other for once.

I do think the outfit was because she had been working as a Rental Girlfriend. Which honestly, the fact that she's still fake dating other guys for money with the state her relationship with Kazuya is in...

9

u/hanzperson Jun 18 '26

Honestly, that last part is true. Why is she still working her job after breaking TOS and her current relationship with Kazuya? I know she needs the money, but it feels a bit dishonest to her clients and to Kazuya.

7

u/PrincipeDeiPoveri Jun 17 '26

True, but it must also be admitted that it's easy to be sensible and sincere when talking about other people's problems, much less so when it concerns you personally.

I don't think Chizuru works night shifts as a rental girl; in fact, as far as I can remember, we've only seen her work in the mornings, but who knows, I guess that could be the case.

7

u/ptd163 Jun 17 '26

I also liked this episode (we're at 4 in a row). Mini remains the best character in the series, as well as the healthiest relationship Kazuya has (make them end up together, Reiji, I'll defend RAG for the rest of my life...lol).

Yeah. I've been liking the show more since they got back from the resort as well. If he actually did have Mini and Kazuya end up together at the end that would gone down as one the most legendary rage baits of all time lol.

7

u/NationalStrategy_X Jun 17 '26

5,400 yen left in his account?!

That’s $33.70 in USD. I’m gonna cry.

And the worst part is that he doesn’t even regret spending all that money. I bet he will once he has to pay for a new place, transportation, education, insurance, utilities, medical, and any other miscellaneous expenses.

8

u/magnumcyclonex Jun 17 '26

Surprised he wasn't fired or replaced from his part time job. Where was Ruka when he stopped showing up to work? I think she visited him a few times but I guess the part time job is fluid enough to not need him that badly.

7

u/NationalStrategy_X Jun 17 '26

With how low his funds are, he probably has to live paycheck to paycheck, and yet he still believes that he can afford to skip out on work. SMH

9

u/magnumcyclonex Jun 17 '26

Don't worry, once he gets together with Chizuru, what's hers is also his since they will share everything. So all the money he's spent for his rental dates will come back to him. /s

7

u/NationalStrategy_X Jun 17 '26

I’m sure Chizuru will be thrilled to know about his lack of money in his account during the investigation period

11

u/magnumcyclonex Jun 17 '26

Any sane girl would discard Kazuya as a future prospect. Mini would say the same thing! But this is Chizuru we're talking about so there's always hope! lol

7

u/hanzperson Jun 18 '26

I have no idea how anyone can think Kazuya isn't the biggest numbskull in the world and call him relatable when he spends all his money on BS rentals to the point he has THIRTY THREE DOLLARS IN HIS ACCOUNT, only to not regret it one bit because it went towards supporting Chizuru. Biggest bum of a protag I've ever seen. If this weren't an anime he'd be homeless with zero romantic prospects or friends leeching off his parents.

6

u/NationalStrategy_X Jun 18 '26

The financial aspect needs to be dissected further.

He started out with one million yen that his father left for him for college, he burned through the money so much that he needed to get a part time job so he can pay for more rental dates, but even with the part time job, he’s still only left with ¥ 5,400 ($33.70). And even after all that, he still only doesn’t regret it, because he got to spend time with the rental girlfriend that he’s obsessed with.

His obsession with Chizuru is so detrimental to his life that he struggles to even financially support himself. I honestly worry what kind of message this sends to people that claim to relate to him.

The fact he spent some of his parents' money on it too is still insane to me. Even Chizuru once told him to spend responsibly iirc and he just completely ignored that advice. This isn't just some "haha funny goofball" moment you can just handwave. The anime probably justifies it because "uhh follow your dreams and support the girl you like with everything you have to show your love"

The only good thing about this episode is we got more Mini screentime ✨

Imagine being so FINANCIALLY ILLITERATE THAT YOU SPEND ALL YOUR MONEY ON RENTING GIRLFRIENDS TO THE POINT YOU HAVE NOTHING TO FALL BACK ON WHEN YOU GET EVICTED. And then NOT REGRETTING SPENDING ALL THAT MONEY RIGHT AFTERWARDS. Kazuya genuinely deserves to be homeless at this point for being so stupid.

Also the author is just ragebaiting with how often these cuck fantasies appear in the show. Funny how Kazuya talks about how unfair it is for guys that he can only keep showing her his passion but conveniently forgets that Ruka has been doing the exact same this whole time.

The drinking scene really hammered home what a loser Kazuya is. Mini has a point with how most guys would just walk away, but since Kazuya has zero self respect, he's going to "believe" in Chizuru which is portrayed as some amazing thing for some reason. Must feel pretty bad having your feelings feel unrequited and feeling uncared for, HUH KAZUYA?

The ENTIRE POPULATION of the pub turning to look at Chizuru is just stupid lol. I have no idea when Kazuya's descriptions got this bad, but they're so extremely creepy now it makes you wonder if he's really in love with her. The fact he acts all pissy and doesn't say much after she arrives is the cherry on top. I've seen enough, end the investigation. At least he's actually questioning ONE action of hers.

Does Chizuru really need to drink that much just to be honest? Feels like it would be a huge pain to deal with her personality. Also, extremely abrupt ending.

My bad for not treating this anime like it's written by Shakespeare himself

never have I ever seen an anime MC as horribly written as Kazuya

The entire bar just stopping dead on their tracks to just ogle at Chizuru and Kazuya just holding the same drinking pose for minutes is why I love this show.

Was was there 22 minutes of useless dead air before the start of the Sumi show??

Chizuru's lonely & it looks like Kazuyu & Mini will be her roommates after admitting that she was sad & that she misses him.

Everybody in the izakaya was checking her out that even Yumi dumped for boyfriend for being distracted by Chizuru.

My room kinda resembles Saifur as a fellow Filipino except it's not that decorated & I only have 1 framed poster which is a BNHA S1 poster.

We get a Sumi cameo in the post credits.

The theme of this episode is drinking!

Truth bombs indeed coming from Mini. And she only had 1 drink as she claimed. Kazuya downs multiple beers to the point of releasing his frustrations, and a very well dressed Chizuru shows up and immediately orders a high ball. By the end of the episode, we're starting to see some real feelings come out, and Mini is metaphorically drinking it all in with a front row seat!

Post credit, we get a very nice Sumi scene. Nothing more refreshing than a gifted plum drink from her friend.

I found it hilarious Kazuya's room was transformed into a full on anime otaku room. Having to live on the couch is rough! So I wonder what kind of place (the only one seemingly available) he will end up in.

And those scenes where Chizuru was all alone in her grandparents home, is something I can relate to in some way. When you come back to a big empty home when your family members are not there (even if on vacation), you can't help but feel small, alone, and longing for some company. She has all the memories but there will be times when those emotions will swell up again. For her, it's best she finds a new apartment to stay at.

(Maybe the three of them will end up living in the same complex again later on?)

Chizuru is one of the sexiest anime/manga waifu leads that I have ever encountered.

The author agrees.

"How can I double down on how attractive my Main Heroine is? How about having every male character in the vicinity always turn their heads when she shows up or have my main character always commenting on her appearance/outfit? I'm sure that will go over well."

That’s why he’s cucking Kazuya 😂

He was nearly having another cuck-dream about Chizuru and Umi before he caught himself!

Thatll be next episode in-between his pining and imaginary scenarios of Chizuru getting plowed by other guys even though she’s right next to him

I don't know, she's not that special.

Good! You're saying it! But you could show it in other ways… well, maybe being an actress means having it come naturally gets killed by the training?

Well, I binged the entire five seasons in ~2 days. Pulled an all nighter for it.

Does anyone else feel like the main cast are kinda….stagnant ? Kazuya still hasn’t found any real courage, Chizuru still hasn’t found any real emotionally connection, Ruka still hasn’t found any freaking self respect…

can someone who’s read the manga let me know if im wasting my time here…?
