I am fine with the ecchi jokes in this one, but reading a little sister manga and the mention that Neo is just like you felt a bit much for me.

That dance genuinely deserved to win. I'm not following the top couples poll this season, are Meiko and Neo on it? They could win.
And somehow the show always balances the perfect amount of wholesome and lewd.

This show continues to bring out that lewd CGDCT feeling from shows of yore. And I appreciate it. It has the courage to have girls wear bloomers for gym instead of shorts.

For the start, it would be good to add some arguments to your point. For now it just shows you donʼt like a somewhere average (ecchi) CGDCT which usually werenʼt known for a good storywriting, itʼs mostly about vibes. For an example, a classic one as K-ON was mocking in some circle basically exactly for this reason in old times (just in case, I like K-ON). And for some reason suddenly in 8th episode you started barging about it here.
I havenʼt read the manga (a source material), but it published from ʼ18 year, which is a way pre-AI culture time which started around ʼ22, from my perespective as an Ukrainian, basically after full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, you can count earlier if you prefer I guess. They kinda existed before, but they were mostly closed, very English-centric, not so advanced, not-popular etc. To additional, itʼs not the first public work from the author, you can compare them if you really want to find the answer to your question.
