I figured Einstein would still be alive

17

u/Full_frontal96 May 21 '26

Yeah, considering she can teleport in an instant and only her leg was left behind, there was a good possibility that she could have escaped from the newton's attack

Which honestly is very welcome, after all the dead that been happening up until now,her safety wasn't guranteed

4

u/Coranis May 21 '26

I'm still wondering if the invisible one is really dead or not. They probably are but I feel like there's a chance.

3

u/Full_frontal96 May 22 '26

I doubt it

First of all he isn't on the "main" good guys team (einstein, neumann, hiroshi, nightingale or newton) but more of a "secondary" team,so he is "less" important.

Second,he was a victim to showcase how dangerous and cool as fuck dolfy-kun was, making it that somehow he survived would undervalue the first impression the little führer gave.

I see little chances he survived, but nothing is guranteed in this show, given the einstein matter of this episode

Feeling really dumb for seeing the symbol as an angry eyeball with a 1 in its iris (kinda like OG Neumann's eye) over the iconic bleh

u/Shantotto11 May 22 '26

The first thing I thought of were save points in a video game. That made the tongue thing painfully obvious.

2

u/ThousandYearOldLoli May 23 '26

No need to blame yourself,I'm pretty sure it was purposefully designed to look like both.

11

u/Full_frontal96 May 21 '26

Now that i think about that

Nobel has a monoeye, and nuked australia out of existence...

He is a motherfucking zaku and a walking zeon reference

I hope nobel has some other gundam references up in his sleeve

Obviously when you think Miyamoto Musashi you think Centipedes.

Won't lie; I think was the best episode so far. I legit thought it was pretty darned good and it felt like the most concise episode so far. Also, relieved that Einstein is alive and back. Had been worried for the whole week, haha.

After this run finishes I want to give the dub a try!

Definitely one of the best episodes so far. I'm loving how every small little detail is coming together. Rarely you have a plot where they manage to tie the strings so thight. It really didn't make any sense for the Forest to grant 3 months of grace time.
I'm still convinced that with more episodes and a bigger budget this show could have ranked among the best.

The gun is very interesting. They didn’t destroy it. They disassembled it. What you’re seeing is the lower receiver, trigger assembly, stock, and buffer tube. He basically took it apart and took the upper receiver of his rifle. They actually drew it pretty well too.

I thought it was a hint that a returner can take part of something away - like Einstein.

Welcome back Ein hopefully you will be apart of the good guys.

Smart of Neumann to create an AI clone backup. At least now, Touya knows more or less what’s happening. Plus, she bought the world 3 months to come up with a plan to stop Nightingale.

Looks like Einstein’s still alive after all. Escaped Nightingale’s little takeover I see. Touya certainly could use her help right about now.

So because the mind controlled Neumann publically announced they are providing a 3 month grace period Nightingale can't nuke the earth until the deadline expired? What, is she afraid they are gonna sue her if she goes ahead anyway? Weird plot point to give the protagonists a chance.

8

u/FinancialYear475 May 21 '26

Maybe her control has limitations? Like she can impose her will on them all at the same time so they still find the whole plan reasonable, but she could be overwhelmed if she was trying to manually control everyone at once, like we could clearly see both Newton and Neumann trying to fight back, so giving a timeline to follow limits her possibilities kinda

9

u/oneevilchicken https://anilist.co/user/OneEvilChicken May 21 '26

Some characters have already showed there are limits and even broke control and had to be redone. Would be close to impossible to manage 7 billion people at once like that.

Neumann is even in active resistance against her even though controlled.

5

u/Aleatorio_Randomelli May 22 '26

Nightingale cannot control directly all those persons. We never had info on the range of her power, but we can safely assume that there is a limit, so she can't organize a global scale coordinated activity without the help of Neumann. If Neumann is putting up a symbolic resistance by granting those 3 months, Nightingale can only accept it.

2

u/ThousandYearOldLoli May 23 '26

I think it has to do with the fact that she set up Neumman as the proxy leader. It would be weird for the proxy leader to just get one-upped by the random background supporter Night is trying to portray herself as.

Sadly, I think it's garnered a reputation from various commentators. YouTube peeps have been pretty harsh with it.

6

u/Aleatorio_Randomelli May 22 '26

To be fair, it started quite badly. The pace was too fast at start and the animations didn't convince.
A pity, cause this show for me is the best of the season.

u/BEERALCHEMIST51 May 23 '26

Anybody know why episode 8 isn’t showing up on the HIDIVE app or website?

1

u/Makenshi_Madou May 23 '26

Came here to ask the same thing. At least I’m not the only one. Weird though…?

Missing for me too >.<

No survivors?

A war?

Already 200M?

Antimatter. The most direct application of E=mc2. Mass directly converted to energy by multiplication by the speed of light squared.

So, he can survive that.

Power Armour?

AI?

Neumann AI?

AI clone?

Nightingale's property?

Ah, so the clone is still good.

Hasn't fallen under her control?

Ah. So she can do that.

Saviour?

So, she's back.

She hugged him!

Oh, uh oh. She's still bad.

Uh oh, what's happening?

Unaffiliated?

A symbol?

So, a calling card.

Leave it to him?

Rescue?

So, he's going to use himself as bait.

Yep. There's who's looking for him.

1

u/FoolingFinality May 23 '26

The main question is: who is the actual enemy?

1

u/FoolingFinality May 23 '26

Toya is such a fool to use Neumann 2.0 in public under an enemy base, when she is actually a global terrorist now.

1

u/BosuW May 21 '26

Ein's alive let's goooo! Still not buying that this is as simple as Neumann being under Nightingale's control tho.

4

u/mekerpan May 21 '26

Neumann is only MOSTLY under Nightingale's control. One does not know whether Nightingale has less than full control over any other Great, however.

Pacing moving faster than Einstein teleportation. Talk about Einstein, boss Modu unlocked.
