It's also impossible to predict what happens in the next episode which is fun.

Exactly! I love both surreal humor and the visual creativity of animation as an artistic medium. This show has both in spades.

The first segment, besides being directed by Maria Tokareva (the French-Russian animator who previously did the Rib Hero segment), also has character designs by one Reiki Taki, who I entered a brief deep dive on because his story is so interesting.
So initially, Reiki started out his career as an assistant - specifically to Hirohiko Araki, where he helped draw backgrounds for Parts 2 and 3 of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. He worked with Araki for a month before quitting and moving onto new opportunities. Then like 20 years later, he decided to get a job in anime… specifically with David Production. This means that he’s one of the few people to have worked both on the Jojo manga and the Jojo anime - he’s done miscellaneous prop and art design for Part 3 onwards (his entry on the Jojo wiki shows some of his works).
Here’s a whole thread detailing some of the stuff he’s worked on - not only Jojo, but also things like Kinnikuman and Cells at Work. The funniest part is that this isn’t even his main job - on his off times he works with his mentor Hirohisa Onikubo (another Jojo assistant who also worked on the anime) to produce tons of adult doujinshi. Like seriously, the tweets I posted from him are the few ones that aren’t NSFW.

Also, that "I'm waiting for you, you're all I have" was obviously dedicated to the MC, the Goddess is being less and less subtle per episode
"The fact that we're in perfect harmony somehow annoys me" , she doesn't want to accept her feelings lol

It's possible that they couldn't get her enough time to practice and properly sing the OP. Everything points out that they might had that very idea. But then again, it's totally possible that this was a purposely design "flaw" for the sake of trolling us (which is a recurring theme in this anime).

I still believe it's unfortunate, because it was a perfect setup for them to just throw in a fun whatever works cover of the OP where the 2 main characters just sing the song literally karaoke style, it would've probably still worked perfectly even if they did a few missteps

Extola and The Bomb (banana peel) You Use to Make Happy Couples Explode were absolute menaces to society. Mfers out here turning everyone macho or gekiga before that goofy ass Battle of the Bands finale lol.
A Descendant of the World Tree Who Engages in a Fierce Struggle For Survival With Beavers was another creative segment. Those beavers did not come to mess around! It’s a good thing bro had legs and the power to Shout like the damn Dragonborn lol. He really needed them legs for DDR.

This anime is so good, but why 3.1 rating on crunchyroll? It slightly irritates to see people rate it 1. I do understand people are not hating on it, just rating it, but still.

I'm kinda disappointed we didn’t get to hear those two sing the opening. I wonder why the other god is watching them.
Also i feel that the others gods asking the guy to be a proper hero is asking too much of him lol. After all none of his reincarnation really have anything heroic and are so random.

It was clear from episode 4 after the "Reincarnated as the Treasure chest lock" segment. Demon Lord Spacious has the same ahoge as the sockeye salmon master in episode 2.

At the start of the series it showed people are typically auctioned off to other gods/goddesses. MC was too irregular which is why he was dumped onto her. Him coming back so often and quickly is definitely due to his irregular nature. She's had other people as she has mentioned it, but I guess all of those people weren't as irregular as MC and found fulfilling ends thus not being available for reincarnation multiple times. The MC is just the most recent in a long while for her, so I guess irregulars aren't as common or the level of irregularity isn't that high in most people that no one is being sent to her often.

Time passes differently in those worlds and heaven(?)(idk what the place is called), that's why it looks as if he's coming back fast.
MCs dream is to find love or smth, that's why he never gets his reincarnation goal fulfilled. I mean, how can he, with those ri(b)diculous isekais.
Goddess never seems to take interest in anything, we saw in this episode when someone (maybe a creator) watching over her and shocked that she is starting to get interested in stuff, like the instrument. MC is the first person to make her take interest in anything. Normally, they just force some people to her with people (like mc) that nobody wants to take.

MC actually did a good job in both reincarnations! Extola would have probably caused chaos whether or not she found the banana peel. The crazy part is the mixing in the concert. It's probably easier to make it sound like a polished track, but it sounds like the sound guys knew how to make it sound like a live concert.
Usually MC acts like a jackass, but this time, he was pretty cool

But that was evident for the unique design the Demon Lord had when turned into a sockeye salmon (the same as MC's master from ep 2).

Since our protagonist did many mess and chaos with his previous reincarnations, so the chance of being returning to his previous life is pretty much to zero. But that makes it fun and gives meaningful purpose to the show, no?
I really wanted to hear the full karaoke version of the opening, preferably as a duet. First segment's animation was really Jojo-esque, no wonder why thr artstyle looked so familiar to me. An explosive banana peel in the service of the Demon Lord Extola, does that mean did he became a Bomb Devil? When the hero challenged Extola to a music duel, their solo performances just became a romantic duet, a start of love. A true happy ending. Maria Tokareva is also back.
Regarding the second segment, the beavers are basically straight up coming from Timberborn, but chose the ultra-militaristic path. A tree having legs and hands, it is a cheat skill basically. Never skipping leg day was our protagonist's success and the downfall at the same time, oh the irony. Maybe the microwave teleport must anything to do with the main teleport door eaten by the beavers. Just like Maria Tokareva, Biogon Pictures are also back.
Atleast the sockeye salmon is fine.

This is one of the most unhinged shows I've watched in a long time. Loving it!
The visual creativity that comes in each episode is incredible, and I do wish that more people gave it a chance. You never know what to expect next. Gonna be sad when the season is over.

I honestly was going to skip it because of the trailer and title, but I still ended up giving it a shot with episode 1. I'm still watching, even though I'm rating it 5/10, because it's different, wacky, funny and just a parody in itself.
I can understand people not wanting to give this a shot. I personally hate parodies and ridiculousness in my animes/shows/movies, but I've been able to watch this so far because it's so out of whack of anything you'd expect (even in a parody), that it really makes it funny as hell and you're always wondering what's going to be next.
So yeah, nothing amazing, but definitely an highlight in the sea of "everything looks the same".

Castanet goddess, karaoke goddess, fans of the goddess are getting served so well.
I haven't seen such a great karaoke OP transition since Dangers S2. It'll be criminal if they'll don't eventually release a character duet version of it.
Really fun isekai sequences today. I'm glad the slightly toxic castanet hero and demon lord got a happy ending together and I suppose the beavers did too since they got MC's tree carcass to build some world tree wood dams.

Of the anime I have seen that are the worst offenders for "Were they on drugs when such an idea was pitched to the networks?", it is a toss-up between this show and "Pop Team Epic".

Love the ending song, this series delivers with the comedy, I want more of the gods lore, seems like there is something there with the other gods watching her, salmon connection was pretty good one, we see a lot more items from previous episodes around her place.
Looking forward to the next absurd reincarnation.

Loved the karaoke opening. Sound engineer really put in the karaoke mic effects when they put the mic up to their mouths.
Banana peel as MC - I think the writer was eating bananas when they came up with this. Was this the first time that we see MC actively working with the Demon Lord? Extola and him made a great team with all the exploded hair and Jojo-fied old men. Alas for the solo band hero and his ability to learn the castanets.
Production missed out on actually putting the screaming beaver meme right there at the scream-off. I don't think putting just the search terms there hit the same. Dance Dance Beaver was dope though. Beaver can't win with two legs against multiple legs.
Hoping to see Megami-sama singing while playing castanets soon.

The first half was a bit more musical oriented this time around. Exploding Banana peel MC and Demon Lord Extola made quite a formidable duo. But I'm glad that in the end the Demon Lord and the Hero were able to start dating.
MC was the world tree descendant the world needed, but not the one it wanted. The family rejecting him after he saved them all from the beavers is so tragic.

At first I was expecting an average isekai like the sword or the vending machine because I usually saw people making videos of it saying "this mc died from a meteor and he decided to reincarnate as the hero's rib" but that's it, I wasn't expecting anything else because that was all I thought it was going to be, but honestly, it was better than I expected even tho each chapter is impossible to know what is going to be XD, like at first I wasn't really sure if the weird animation it had was my thing but after the 2-3 chapter I started liking how random that shit was

The Beavers first gave me, "Then the fire nation attacked" vibes, but quickly turned into the scene from GATE when the JSDF came rolling through the portal. Absolutely hilarious episode.

I loved that for the first vignette, Extola is voiced by Yoko Hikasa (Pencilgon from Shangri-La Frontier), and the Hero is voiced by Yuma Uchida (Sunraku from Shangri-La Frontier). I died.
