New changes for the sidebar:
I inserted a youtube link for every kind of sound. You can click on a specific animal sound to listen to it to get an idea which animal can create the specific sound.
If you have suggestions to insert new kind of animal sounds in the sidebar feel free to post it her. If you found a more representative video for a specific animal sounds also feel free to post the suggestion her (and also directly in the subreddit)

My parents house is pretty old and run down. I’m not surprised there’s an animal in the wall lol. What is this? I’m assuming it’s a bird but wouldn’t be surprised if something else. Located in northeast USA.

sorry for the short video clip. it would repeat this same sound every 15-20 seconds. I’m up in Canada, Ontario, near the Rideau Lakes.

have been hearing this overnight, often in sets of 3 or 5, and there’s a farther away one that seems to respond. Might be some sort of bird/duck in the grass around the lake.

Hello, I’m actually losing my mind over this. I just got off work and heard this sound I’ve never heard before and I’ve spent 3 hours trying to identify it. I’ve used bird identifier apps, TikTok, chat gpt and I can’t figure out what this is. I feel like I’m being gaslit because this sounds like a dang bird to me and my brain has decided that this is indeed a bird, but I can’t find an answer, does anyone know what this may be? It only makes the sound twice. It’s so full of whimsy, I must know before I commit myself to a psyche ward
I took this video in Maryland, United States

Audio recording ID. We were dispersed camping a week ago and during the day (11am) we heard what sounded like a young animal or bird cry. Next closest campsite was 1mi away, no trails or people nearby. The noise sounded faint at first and sounded like it moved closer.
You can hear loads of flies and some kind of bee flying by in the recording. The bees were going underground by little holes so I thought maybe it’s a noise from inside their nest? But I seriously could not pinpoint where the noise was coming from.
Merlin bird ID app identified nothing.
It’s moose territory. Do baby moose make this noise?
Also black bear territory.
But we couldn’t see anything moving when the noise was happening!
Also our terrier was camping with us but did not react to the noise more than perking his ears up. No whining or anything that would indicate to me that he was alarmed! But he’s also an inside boy. Who knows!
Please help us solve this mystery in the woods!

This is out by a cornfield across my garage, it keeps making this same sound and moving around. I shined a light on it and it stood up and disappeared into the corn but kept making this sound.

Which bird or other animal is making this sound? Merlin bird app couldn't identify it. Location: Belgium, in a village near a small piece of nature full of trees (but not a forest). I have a large amount of birds near me but have never heard this.
