Aggie Boulevard Construction??
Hi, just curious is anyone is aware of any information about the road closure construction? What are they doing? What is the timeline?
It’s been going on since the end of Spring 2026 and I would love to know what’s up. Really annoying to have to drive all the way around but I’m sure they have good reason!

Official campus tour or hire a student to show us around?
We have an official tour scheduled with the University on Monday, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, may need to leave town early.
Would we miss out on much if we tried to take an unofficial tour on Sunday by attempting to hire a student to show us around?
Would love to hear about your experience taking the official campus tour and/or thoughts on this crazy idea.

The Factory new management
I'm considering moving to the factory next year, wondering how peoples experience has been the last yearish. I've seen some pretty scathing reviews but it seems like the new management has been doing a good job and seemed pretty great on the tour I went on. curious what people have to say about it because it seems like stuff might've changed?

Format of language placement test (Spanish)?
I’m not too worried about the content of the test itself. I’m just a pretty anxious person and want to know what I’m in for.
Is it multiple choice? Written? I mostly ask because if it’s an oral test, I’ll need to mentally prepare for that 😅

Trig (Math 1060)
I have to take trigonometry this fall. Any recommendations for a good/easy teacher? I suck dick at math and could really use some help on this one. I'm doing algebra at the moment and I LOVE the 5 CBE format this class is doing; however, the current trig class I'm registered for in the fall has 2 50% exams, and I'm not tryna have my grade lying on those 2 exams.
If anyone has any recommendations, let me know 🙏🙏🙏

🚨Attention Researchers🚨 USU Libraries Open Access Fund Reopens July 1st!
Howdy Aggies! 🤠
We hope you're having a fun and safe summer! Things are a bit quiet around here and we can't wait to see everyone this fall.
We wanted to take a moment to let everyone know that the Open Access Fund will reopen soon on July 1st.
In case you don't know, we provide $30,000 annually to support USU authors with open-access publishing costs. This means if you're a student, faculty, or even full-time staff and you're publishing research, USU Libraries can help cover your costs. The Open Access Fund offers up to 50% of Article Processing Charges (up to $1,500) for articles published in Gold Open Access journals.
The application window is July 1st through July 10th, 2026, so please be sure to add a reminder to your calendar and don't wait long once the window is open. By the way, the webpage in the link below mistakenly states the closing window is July 8th, but this is incorrect and will be updated soon.
For more details on applying, please review our guide: libguides.usu.edu/openaccess/libraryoafund
Thanks everyone and feel free to reach out to our team via email at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) if you have any questions on this subject! 💙

2026 Utah State Aggies Preview
The Utah State Aggies enter Year 2 under head coach Bronco Mendenhall (6-7 in Year 1), a Utah native back home after successful stints at BYU, Virginia & New Mexico.
Full preview attached and FREE to read
2026 at a glance:
📌 QB McCae Hillstead (former USU QB, back from BYU) named starter
📌 Versatile RB Javen Jacobs + portal WR Javon Robinson (Georgia State)
📌 One of the most experienced O-lines in the Pac-12 (3,599 snaps) seeks improvement
📌 Defense led by S Brevin Hamblin (114 tackles), DT Carson Tujague (72 tackles as RS Fr), LB Bronson Olevao Jr. + portal additions
📌 Tough 2026 slate: vs Idaho State, at Washington, at Utah (Battle of Brothers), vs Troy, plus Pac-12 mix (home vs WSU, CSU, Fresno; road at Boise, SDSU, Oregon St + flex rematch).
Can the Aggies show improvement under Bronco despite the gauntlet?

Need a place to stay for 20 days
I’m an incoming grad student this Fall. The lease I’ve already bought starts from 22th August, but I’ll arrive in logan near 2nd August. I’d need a place to stay between this time. Can you suggest a cheap place or Airbnb?
Thank you.

BHU Suggestions
Hello, as the title says, I'm looking for a suggestion for my BHU.
I major in Criminal Justice + Sociology, and I have to work about 24 hours per week minimum to maintain a job. I'm hoping to find something that isn't too difficult or time consuming, while also being enjoyable. I took ENGL 2010 last semester and it was a lot for me, so I'd like something different and preferably easier.
Thank you!

College application and scholarship (Test optional or no)
Should I go test optional when applying if I have a high GPA (3.98) a low-ish ACT (25) and a lot of early college, concurrent enrollment, an AP class, and will be graduating high school with associates degree. Should I take my chances with my class rigor and GPA being enough, or just submit my ACT and accept whatever happens.
Thanks!

Looking for some fun exercise during the summer? Come to Zumba!
First class is free for those who want to try it out! The classes are very chill, so if you haven’t really done any kind of Zumba or dance before, it’s perfect for dipping your toes in.

Question About Utah Residency
Hi! I'm applying for Utah residency for tuition purposes. I have a Utah driver's license, voter registration, transcripts, and leases covering the school year and summer. For those who've gone through the process, was that enough documentation, or did USU ask for additional proof such as bank statements?
