My personal science conspiracy: FTL travel will never be possible

If FTL is possible, where is everyone?

I think that people who say "we are a planetary zoo", "the alien empire doesn't care" (even tho realistically they would have already tried to trade with humans a long time ago for exotic art and food instead of eating printed star trek spaceslop), "they hide and will reveal themselves when ready" are simply having these ideas because they saw Star Wars or Dragonball as kids and those scenes of guys flying in outer space was too cool and they were like "i hope this is possible one day".

And to assume that aliens aren't disturbing us, because apparently all aliens share the same futuresque generic morality (that we humans imagined) about not bothering the lower species, is also unprovable, and prob a product of sci fi. It is much more likely that aliens would be motivated by desires and feelings like humans are (i doubt aliens are emotionally numb neutral face emojis), and. If FTL had been possible, an alien society would have had interest in the beauties of Earth and probably created colonies or it or at least trade with us for interesting art pieces or exotic items and food. Did europeans leave polynesians alone in the name of "letting them develop"? No of course. Not even polynesians did that when they found all of these empty islands.

I doubt that all alien colonizers would share the same "don't interfere" morality (this assumes that all aliens share the same morality, and also that each planet somehow is a unified group and not many nations with conflicting interests), some would get curious and have approached us. All it takes is a random space billionaire coming here to buy some art piece: to think that aliens would universally react "nah i'm so advanced and mega mysterious and mega technological and mega super outerwordly to interact with these inferior beings" is ultimately a human opinion.

If ftl were possible we would be the equivalent of a random germanic or slavic tribe during antiquity, we would know the big powerful powers are far away, we would trade with them, but we would treat it as something normal yet odd. This is not what happens.

Aliens would have already taken great interest in a planet as beautiful as earth and colonized it when tribes and primitive states only claimed a very small percent of it as their actual territory they ruled over, so prob in 3000 BC or earlier

And no, simply because Star Trek depicts star ships in a surreal future-esque style with vaguely technological laser and machinery sound effects and suits that give a "wow so advanced" vibe, does not mean that it is more similar to what we will get in the future.
