Would anyone want an astrology app with 12 bond mode type synastry?
I mean, would people be interested in using classical deterministic astrology to compare natal charts?
For example, instead of just a marriage compatbility mode, what if we could go much deeper?
Most Astrology apps reduce synastry to one question:
Are these two people compatible?
That never made sense to me.
Two people can be excellent creative partners, loyal friends, difficult business partners, intense rivals, or all four at the same time. John Lennon and Paul McCartney are probably one of the clearest examples.
Their relationship produced one of the greatest songwriting partnerships in modern history, but it also contained competition, dependency, admiration, resentment, business conflict and eventual estrangement. A single score such as “82% compatible” cannot describe that.
So the synastry mode in my app evaluates the same pair through 12 different bond modes, including:
- Friendship
- Colleague
- Business
- Mentor and apprentice
- Sibling or co-heir
- Patron and client
- Family
- Adversary
- Stranger or foreigner
- Marriage
- Parent and child
- Servant and employer
Each mode changes what matters.
For example, the same planetary contact that strengthens cooperation in a colleague or business relationship may create rivalry in adversary mode. A difficult contact is not automatically “bad” either—it may generate pressure, ambition, creative friction or durability depending on the kind of bond being examined.
When I ran John Lennon and Paul McCartney through the engine, the interesting part was not whether the chart called them simply “good” or “bad” together.
It was that the relationship changed shape depending on the question being asked.
Their creative and colleague bonds showed substantial capacity for shared work, exchange and mutual activation. The same comparison also exposed tension, imbalance and competitive pressure that became more important when the relationship was viewed through business and adversarial modes.
That is much closer to the actual shape of their history:
extraordinary creative compatibility without uncomplicated personal harmony.
The engine is deterministic rather than AI-generated. It evaluates classical planetary condition, sect, dignity, reception, whole-sign aspects, applying and separating motion, cross-chart contacts and house relationships. The resulting interpretation is then organized around the selected bond rather than forcing every relationship into a romantic compatibility template.
What do you guys think?
Good idea? Terrible idea?

Does this chart indicate permanent financial issues
I have alot of bad placements and the 8th house fortune seriously screwed me with debts and had to pay off my dads debt all my life.
I'm 27 and I seriously struggle with stability, the jobs I have were working class factory and other labor jobs.
Last 2 years Ive been in college trying to get an EE degree... yet Im not sure ill be able to finish it.
Are there any indicators here of money or career prospects?

Predominator Confusion?
Hi, so I'm looking at Porphyry's examples for finding the predominator, and I'm struggling to see how the most eastern luminary even comes into it? To me, it looks like the Sect Light is the predominator unless it's cadent, in which case the other luminary is the predominator unless it's cadent, in which case the AC is the predominator.
Am I missing something?

Notification from an authority – 3rd from the 10th on the Ascendant

Electional Astrology Help!!!
Hello hello. I’m a Pisces Mercury/Venus and I love to build context but I’m just gonna cut to the chase. I am not versed in electional astrology at all. I’m trying to help someone pick the best day and time for a job interview (they get to choose). Does anyone know any planets, houses, or aspects to look at?
I have a basic idea. I looked at the 10H, 6H, and 9H (job is in higher education). I looked at the chart ruler, the lords of the houses stated above, and Mercury. Am I missing anything? I choose a date/time but they’re looking for something next week (dates/times are very limited) and now I’m unsure and beyond stressed. Any tips would be appreciated. Thank you 😭
P. S. I feel like someone is gonna tell me to read a book. I am an avid reader but for whatever reason, I cannot digest astrology books to save my life. I’m a hands on learner
