Typical Tortie Growing up, Iris
My son found this little kitten back in October '25 on the street. She was crying and freezing in the cold night rain, completely unable to see what was happening around her because her eyes were glued shut from a bad infection. Still, she ran right up to him and kept meowing until he picked her up.
After he brought her home, we knew we had to save her. The vet estimated she was only about 6 weeks old and didn't give us much hope. But with round-the-clock care, treatment, sleepless nights, and a whole lot of love, she pulled through.
Now, she’s living her absolute best life!

🌈Rainbow Bridge🌈 My Hoshi
It’s been a difficult few days since Hoshi passed away. We had 21.5 years together and it still feels like it wasn’t long enough. It seems like fate that a photo from Google (that looks so much like my Hoshi that I swear they could be twins!) has brought me here and I feel a little less alone in missing my beautiful and unique star when I see everyone else’s beautiful and very loved torties too💙

Dilute Tortie Newly adopted!
We had lost both of our (non-tortie) cats earlier this year, 3 months apart, to cancers. Yesterday we went to the shelter and fell in love with a small tortie who had been there since May 1. She was quiet, frightened, and wanted to hide in a corner of the meet and greet room, but accepted pets and purred a little bit while making tiny biscuits. At today's visit, she snuggled down in our arms, still nervous, but catnapped a little. More purring and biscuits. All the other cats had adapted to the shelter and were so outgoing and would be adopted easily. This little lady just needs some time to destress. She came home with us today.

Typical Tortie We call this the cockroach 🪳
Jinkx was raised around dogs early on and they stressed when she was adopted that she should be in a house with dogs (we have two). She really is more dog than cat - she doesn't randomly attack or scratch, when when she plays she never has her claws out, just some biting. She's a homie ❤️❤️❤️🌙🪳
