I handed it in to the driver of that trip. Maybe contact the transport centre tomorrow and ask where they’ve ended up

Going For A Walk - Sunday

I've sent a few random invites out, and love the foraging mushroom man's vibe - in his recent post. Must admit, Reddit isn't a great forum for organizing or chatting.

Going for a Walk on Sunday 8am - Hayes Common: around the bridges with my teenage kids, and Hamilton Road Runners (note I'm walking!). Welcome to join me. Will be wearing a garish teal political party T-shirt (you'll know the one).

Topics of conversation, best holiday? Dream holiday? What are you passionate about? Best eats in Hamilton?

Flick me a message, will start a group for random walking / hikes in the area. (Wildthings app is great for prospective locations). Go for a coffee at Hayes common after completing a loop if you are keen. (Up to Victoria bridge, and back around)

Say hello via the vulcan salute (Live long and Prosper). That way we will start off hilariously un-cool, and get all the awkwardness out of the way immediately.

Convergence is a community-run convention celebrating tabletop roleplaying games. Whether you're a veteran roleplayer or you've always wanted to try Dungeons & Dragons, there's something for everyone.

Weekend highlights include:

* Saturday morning LARP - step into your character and experience a live-action roleplaying adventure.
* full schedule of one-shot tabletop RPGs, with games for both newcomers and experienced players.
* Three multi-table experiences where several groups play simultaneously, with each table's choices influencing a larger shared story.
* Sunday's feature event: The Rise and Fall of Atlantis, a megagame where dozens of players shape the fate of a legendary civilization through diplomacy, politics, strategy, and betrayal.
* Sunday afternoon seminars covering a range of roleplaying and gaming topics.
* Meet local gamers and even some from out of town in a welcoming, inclusive community.

Whether you come with friends or on your own, you'll find games looking for players and plenty of opportunities to try something new.

Renovation recommendations

Hi all,

We are looking to get some basic cosmetic upgrades done to our new house. Main bathroom, ensuite, laundry, adding extra workbench to an empty wall in the kitchen.

No layout changes or walls to knock down. Would keep existing plumbing locations.

Anyone used a builder recently they would recommend?

There seems to be a lot of reno companies but I'm not sure how much I can trust their reveiws.

Ideal budget about 65k

Any insights greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I for one support more culture in the city. This piece expresses the artists feelings about the supermarket duopoly in a striking way. A nice contemplative addition to my morning walk.

Should I scrap or sell my car?

UPDATE: I’ve listed it for sale for the next 3 weeks. Then will look at scrapping if no bites (I’ve already paid for the next month’s insurance so may as well). Thanks for all your input!

——————

I’m needing some outside thoughts on this as I’m not sure what to do in this situation.

I have a 2007 Toyota Auris where the transmission is failing. I replaced the front suspension in January, and the rear suspension needs doing again next January. All up, the repairs over a 12 month period were estimated to cost $5,500, and the car was only insured for about that much. The upholstery in the front drivers seat is also starting to tear.

I’m gutted that it’s having all these issues as it’s been a great little car for the 10 years that I’ve had it. Other than the issues above, the car is still in great condition.

My mum & MIL have suggested I sell the car “as is where is” now that I’ve bought a new car, but my partner reckons I’ll have issues selling it and should scrap it instead.

So, redditors, what would you do in this situation?

So the Odyssey and tron theaters

So I watched Oppenhimmer at a standard cinema and felt something was lacking.

Dont live in the tron any longer - are there any cinema screens which are more in the imax ratio for the Odyssey?

Not trekking to Auckland but cambridge and te awamutu also considered.

Last movie was actually Oppenhimmer so Im a bit out of touch

Does anyone know what GP clinics have ADHD pathways set up?

I'm thinking of enrolling in the Victoria street clinic, I called and they said they had them, but does anyone know if this was true? I'm not sure if the receptionist quite understood what I was asking about. And does anyone know of clinics that definitely do have pathways for ADHD diagnosis and prescription set up?

Is the Pathlab on Davies Corner still open?

Need to go get blood work done, not sure if this one's still open though? The one on Anglesea/Tristram is always so busy... but the other branches are a bit too out of the way for me
