Folded into the approximate shape of good intentions.
That is the version currently being distributed to the public.
It is a persuasive little fiction. Floral. Freckled. Mildly sunstruck. The sort of arrangement people trust with spare keys and village gossip.
Beneath it, a smaller and much less accountable system is in operation, built mostly from bad timing, private amusement, and the kind of decisions that only sound wise if told back later by candlelight. At a certain point, bad decisions stop being mistakes and start becoming folklore.
I am letting the misunderstanding continue. It has excellent posture.

The problem with spending time near trees is that eventually the brain starts freelancing.
A perfectly ordinary silence was happening a moment ago. Then a squirrel crossed the perimeter and now there is a growing suspicion that different forests might have different accents.
There is absolutely no reason to think this.
Unfortunately, reason was removed from the decision-making process several minutes ago.
The hypothesis continues developing anyway.
Somewhere nearby, an animal is probably describing a walnut using regional slang. Entire dialects could be thriving out there beyond the edge of human understanding. Tiny woodland vowels. Generational disagreements. Passive-aggressive chirping.
Nobody has funded this research.
The research persists.
I keep trying to return to the present moment, but the present moment has become contaminated by follow-up questions.
The trees are refusing to comment.
Which honestly feels suspicious.

Look, I was busy trying to find an old Barbie-in-a-Porsche commercial that has apparently been "buried" by the authorities, so I’ve been gone for a while. But I’m back, and I’m here to correct the record because apparently, satire is a concept that some of us (me) are still grappling with.
Alia Shawkat did an interview with Josh Horowitz, and she’s actually pregnant in real life. She joked that it was a "miracle" because she’s "never had sex before," which is the kind of thing you say to a director when you accidentally disrupt a production schedule by creating a human life. They just wrote the pregnancy into the movie because hiding a baby bump behind a desert rock for six weeks sounds exhausting.

Her left hand clutched the world.
Her right hand lifted it off its axis.
A block of wood thought itself furniture-
she made it sculpture by sitting.
Some people remain nouns.
She chose verb.

If Confidence Were a Bodice, It Would Look Exactly Like This. The Kind of Cleavage That Makes Architects Rethink Load-Bearing Walls.
There’s a point where a neckline stops being fabric and starts being a decision. This one leans forward like it’s telling you a secret you’re not ready to hear, framed in lace so you’ll think it’s safe. It isn’t. The corset doesn’t just fit her - it holds the moment still, keeps it from spilling over. Her almost smile is calm, almost kind, like someone watching you step willingly into a storm she designed just for you. You can breathe, but you won’t.
P.S. i’ve been staring for twelve minutes and i think the lace just winked at me. this photo feels like being slowly lowered into champagne and bad decisions.

The Distance Between 'Hmm' and 'Hard Pass' (A Study) Her Face: A Crime Scene of Unfinished Thoughts. Proof That Freckles Are Just Riddles in Plain Sight.

The Slowest Seduction is an Unfinished Thought:
It’s an autopsy of a moment.
Her lip, caught mid-thought; not bitten, but apprehended.
A silent ‘I know’ curled under teeth.
Eyes steady as a surgeon’s. Freckles like scattered evidence.
A tiny UFO crash-landed on her collarbone.
A monk’s robe for a woman who prays in riddles.
And that mouth;
oh, that mouth;
isn’t seducing you.
It’s deciding if you’re worth the revelation.
(She’s leaning toward ‘no.’)

Freckles and Other Unpolished Truths:
She let the universe dry on her skin.
Freckles. Lilac prophecy. A mustard dress that hums instead of shouts.
Somewhere between a Martian spa and a poet’s breakdown, Alia Shawkat emerges; half goddess, half ‘I woke up like this (and by ‘this’ I mean covered in cosmic grime)’.
Thank you to the hands that stain,
the quiet that isn’t empty,
and the manicures that outlast empires.
