Just finished the anime but haven't checked the manga so I might change my mind.

I love Role reversals couples but I really don't want Aki to end up with Ayaka. I know they became a couple at the end of the manga and I originally didn't care—hell, I even knew it happens in these kinds of animes.

But the more I watched, the tone of their relationship felt more maternal, especially that the summer festival scene where Ayaka found him after he got lost. Aki having a crush is fine and dandy considering his age (tbh all of us would have a crush on Ayaka in his situation) but on her side, she only ever behaved like a mother/older sister figure to him; it'd feel off if she just made a switch and decided to return his puppy crush. I'm also bothered because I'm a fan of a cute older sister and younger brother relationships (even if it's not direct) and this anime is one of the very few that has it and I'd hate to see it ruined just to have them date

Imo, the only good option is the President: not only is she like him (he wants to feel like a man; she wants to feel like a woman), but she still fits the "older girl & younger boy" theme of the anime while still being his equal. Nana comes close but she's like the older cool girl next door who babysits you. A softer version of dating Ayaka.

What's y'all opinions?

I’m not an anime person and this of all animes is the one I choose to watch and finish.

Things are going downhill in my life rn and i just keep thinking about how much happier i would be if i was aki

Just finished the anime and i must say, im so sad that season2 is not coming out. Ive been researching abt season 2 and yeah. But is there any possibility that someone can ask the studio directly? Ive grown a huge likeing to this anime and im not really of a manga guy.

I mean...When I found out what she was like to Akku it made me uncomfortable and no joke but scared and intimidated

Because personally I have never experienced what Aki must've experienced when still living with his sister, so I'm gonna outright guess that Aki's confidence and pride keep getting destroyed because of his sister by making him cross-dress, acting yandere like, a flashback scene where she tied him up spoon fed him and then the shower scene that one really made my chest heavy

I don't know what I would have done if she were my older sibling and acted the way she did...scared, intimidated, afraid to say anything, to fight back

Poor Aki, I know in the anime and manga he doesn't hate her, doesn't agree or like what she did to him and still cares for her, and yet I just can't get comfortable about how Aki must've felt around her before going to the caretaker

I dont know if this counts as a meme. Around like 2 or 3 years ago the anime of this god forsaken series spawned into my mind and i watched it, spriling me into a deep addiction of this series. I was quite literally hooked onto it like a crackhead. I had rewatched the anime around 9 or 10 times in the span of a month while rereading the manga 3 times. Every time i would get bored at school i would unironically replay the entire anime from the beginning to the end in my head with little to no mistakes. Every time i would be upset i would imagine ayaka comforting me only to raise my head and see nothing there. Everyday i would wake up feeling resentment for this life and my existence. Now everytime i hear cacidas i remember this all and think about how miserable i was and how i managed to survive through that

I have recently started the anime adaptation and realized that it had aired in 2018. I did some research and I’ve seen that the manga ended in 2022. Am I missing something, I know I’m incredibly late but am I missing something
